Any guys here collect toys traditionally for girls? Monster High? Barbie? Shopkins?
certain four legged figures?
>>11893346We have a - what is it called, fashion doll gen regularly? And plenty of guys have plushies.
>>11893380No, the fashion doll thread community left months ago.
>>11893383holy shit, i just noticed they're gone.Kinda sad, because they seemed to be pretty active all the way into 2024 when most other generals were dying. Checking the archives, they were as active as the Marvel threads, with a thread filling up to autosaging numbers every week and as far as i remember, had roughly 80 posters per thread. What killed them?
I like to buy coomer 1/6th scale sillicone figures and buy barbie clothes for them. Feels pretty gay but it arouses me so fuck it.Although they are 'coomer' figures, so their fat lil butts and asses are often too big for most of the barbie shirts and pants
>>11893346I wish I had a monster high collecting gf so I could enjoy them myself. Anything spooky related gets to me.
>>11893392>What killed them?Driven out by the amount of coomers shitting up their generals.Just look at how much the coomer general is spamming with over 6 threads active right now.
>>11893383I'm fairly new to this board, probably 2022 and it really is sad how bad it's gotten in a few short years. There can be decent threads and conversations but it's mostly angry spergs on every level, from assholes screaming at basic questions about what can be swapped, to just what seem to be longstanding arguments (NECAanon, Subject Anon). It's really tiresome and bound to set people off and drive them away.
>>11893346A lot of He-man collectors also collect She-Ra even though that's a girl's line while using the excuse that it's because it's a part of He-Man.
>>11893471I think Shadow Weaver is sexo, like a voluptuous Jawa.
>>11893471I mean, I came here from collecting DC action figures and only DC, but got into a lot of other things partially from this board. But even when I just strictly limited myself to DC, I had female action figures - including some I really loved - like her "I am so happy to be fighting with this word" expression on this one.
>>11893402Every big board is suffering zoom/alpha integration and normalfag attempts at assimilation.
>>11893393>I like to buy coomer 1/6th scale sillicone figures and buy barbie clothes for them. Feels pretty gay but it arouses me so fuck it.>Although they are 'coomer' figures, so their fat lil butts and asses are often too big for most of the barbie shirts and pantsPost some pics bro
>>11893346I had quite a few of the forbidden horse minis and still have a few of the big vinyls that I display every now and then.I absolutely loved the Monster High Mega Bloks line and I would have gotten into the dolls if they didn't get significantly lamer around the time that I heard about the line's quality. These days I don't have anything too girly on display.>>11893402What really makes me sad is that there is nowhere else to go. The weebs, gamers and so on have options when this ship finally sinks. There just isn't another general toy space like /toy/ out there to flee to.
>>11893346I have an entire princess movie's worth of headcanon for my minidolls
>>11893392>What killed them?TL;DR: Apathy.OP didn't care enough to continue, and not enough interest in the dying communities to generate a new op. Also, a few old posters on multiple boards mentioned hating the new captcha, and a few others seemed to have disappeared around then, too. >>11893395No, see the old threads for yourself. >https://archive.palanq.win/toy/search/subject/%20fashion%20doll%20/The trolling is a problem and the spammer will be back after her 3 day ban to shit this place up some more. They won't issue permanent range bans for their greatest contributors on a lesser board. Jannies can't permaban and this board is too small to warrant a regular mod.>>11893402Your observations track with the numbers. See for yourself. https://dev.4stats.io/It won't get any better as contributors continue to bleed off leaving only the toyless and joyless to squabble endlessly. Also, don't feed their egos by mentioning them. Report them if it makes you feel better.>>11893623>there is nowhere else to go.A few near dead anonymous toy image boards on the web ring, but everyone left here is too 4cucked to leave this /toy/let. Worse, splitting the community (what little there is left) will only hasten both their demise. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.Now post your girly toys, toy soldiers! (Or maybe just pretend to be a boy and post girly toys, ladies?)TL:DR:It's rather off topic. Make a new thread for that.
>>11893839>a few old posters on multiple boards mentioned hating the new captchaweird, the new captcha is an improvement once you get over the hump.>the toyless and joylesskek'd. fwiw I'm new as well and this board is honestly great compared to the trolling on some others.
>>11893670Friends is based
>>11893346used to collect a little Oh My GIF toys. That line didnt last very long, and I think it was one of the mid-pandemic toys
>>11893670Do tell, with pictures.
>>11893392personally i haven't found much to enjoy with dolls the last couple years. my main line ended and just came back this year in lesser form and there just isn't much for me to get excited about. miss my fashion doll gen girlies tho. coomers and that one anon who'd lose her mind whenever she suspected a coomer aside, it was a really comfy thread for a long time.
>>11893346It's crazy that Simpsons predicted people like Smithers when grown men collecting little girls dolls was barely a thing back then.
>>11893906>was barely a KNOWN thing back then
>>11893853The new captcha is okay but it takes too long to get to that point where you get auto approved after so many captcha's. You notice that on say /co when you are storytiming a comic. But if would help on all boards.
>>11893395>Just look at how much the coomer general is spamming with over 6 threads active right now. It's because he have a spammer problem, several thread reached image limit in a matter of hours due to the retard
>>11893906Im sure the joke was he collects girl dolls as a man cause he's gay and only gay men would collect dolls
>>11893906Prediction nothing. They were just slowly adding more clues to his then assumed sexual preference.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzWqoGZjbkI
>>11893938jokes on them
>>11893346I have a Precure plush but that's about it.
I'm into BJDs but that's on /jp/ now.>>11894532>rum raisinExquisite taste, anon.
I remember one time seeing someone's Detolf full of Princess castles. Like Polly Pockets and stuff, and everything was presented neatly with breathing room between pieces. It was so nice to see something in a different colour palette that wasn't another collection jammed full of Transformers.
>>11894593Huh they have a pretty active thread over there, lots of nice photos too. Also kind of funny they have sex doll thread, I guess it just gravitated there.
>>11894593>Exquisite taste, anon.I only bought it because it's a meme. I thought it was just okay. I liked the other flavor way more.
>>11894607A lot of BJD people are also photography autists. The extra posability and available outfits makes for a lot of potential for photos.
I have a few plushes on my couch but really I treat them more like cute throw pillows than anything else. Despite watching tons of magical girl shows I've never felt much of a desire to buy any toys based on them the same way I used to collect trinkets from Kamen Rider when I was more into that during the early 2010's.
>>11895283Unicorns however...
>>11893941The weirdest thing of all, as a gay kid watching this growing up, was that Burns was what got him hot and bothered. I mean, I don't get guys fapping to animation, whether it's to something like the puppet animals in Fantastic Mr. Fox or the CGI animals in Zootopia,
I collect a handful of MH, mostly G1 and some of the collectors dolls, managed to get the Michael Myers doll and she's my favorite of the bunch right now, might pick up one of the Universal monster girls
>>11894532Cute Luluka
>>11896094Thanks. I really want to get the Eclair and Arcana plushes too but it's scalper city out there.
>>11895988I see these all the time at places like Ross. The NECA horror stuff as well, so you wonder who's buying the stuff to own.
>>11897493The halloween 2 monster high doll is still new so I doubt you're seeing that one, a lot of the gen 3 monster high dolls end up at ross though
>>11893346I'll buy some Monster High because they look neat. Not a bad investment either since I have some gen 1s that are worth a ton of money now.
>>11893346I have that Monster High Gozer doll, that looked pretty cool.
>>11897818That's not what I was typing. I meant Monster High generally. Although, went today looking to pick up the Sonic x DC collab since someone wrote they had seen the third wave there, and I want the Lex that BBTS has absurdly for $30, with Target already confirmed they weren't getting that wave. And saw some stupid K-Pop Demon Hunters thing as well, not the dolls but something else. So recent stuff does show up, but I just meant Monster High and Barbie can fill an entire shelf at Ross.
>>11893346>Any guys here collect toys traditionally for girls? This is a figma board OP. What do you think?
I dig Polly pocket. If only we had a male equivalent… some sort of mighty max if you will.
