This was my haul. I know there's another Albertsons truck variety that's closer to scale. The Matchbox one wasn't for the car, it's for the nostalgia as what it's what they used to look like.

want to do this to, i've got some good markers and started by adding some details to this maisto 250 (pic related).
To get a crisp and clean line along the entire profiles is pretty hard. Visually, however, the result is satisfying, even though it is far from good.
I have an old '68 chevy nova that need to be restored and it'll be my first project, hope don't fuck up the paint and i'll try to make my decals too. Anxiety is holding me back

The big toy stores both irl and online, over here in Dutschland are still stuck at 2025 mainline for single card cars. Unironically the only 2026s I have bought came from waiting in line at Aldi. If it is not pure hoarding for pricegauge scalping I do not even mind irl or online resellers that much tough, I just ordered a MoonEyes SpeedWaze with the Powerboat, that came in a premium set with two other cars I don't need, ofcourse I found two other cars I liked so including shipping I did spend the same, but for 3 cars and Powerboat that I like. Maybe a smoll upcharge because one of them is a mainline but it has a MoonEyes livrey so that makes up tje diverence for me.
That said, don't buy from the guy who has boxes and boxes off all of the cool cars and wants x times the retail price. The toystores here are stuck but ofcourse the internet has them all, some even have moq to meet before you are allowed to order. Fuck those guys, the cars will show up in a bin on a fleamarket eventually.

>>11903542
Yeah, the Kurtis is real nice. I also like how it is just called 'Sport car' with older cars it becomes more opaque and my own car has been called all kind of models it is not, if I had that Kurtis the I could just say I got a Kurtis Sport Car, kek.
Anyhow, one more pic. The running boards on the Plymouth are seperate parts, the wheels on that Ford also suck but overall it has a better stance and a cooler look with them. That's the diverence between HW en MBX I guess.
>>
>>11903550
I had always preferred matchbox more realistic/generic looking wheels to hotwheels, but a good way to improve them is to just draw a white wall on it using a thin white marker or pen on the classic cars, it improves the look
>>
>>11902931
>Scalpers ruin the hobby for everyone else

That's silly and shows a misunderstanding of basic supply and demand economics. Companies like Mattel choose the amount of product to create and then the customers choose whatever the product is worth to them. Scalpers couldn't buy Marvel Eternals toys and sell for profit because there was more than enough made to satisfy demand. Many Hot Wheels fans would complain if they stopped making treasure hunts and Pokemon fans would complain if all cards were commons. People in these hobbies want some rarity and when that happens market value for those items goes up. Scalpers become the scapegoat when it's the fanboys driving the markets.
>>
>>11903560
I just get the casts I like and dont care that much about who made them. They are €1,-/€2,- cars, both new and on the fleamarket, can't expect 1:43 scale quality for that price. The white wall tip is a good one and I also have some wheels on order from china, going to to try some 1:64 customizing.

I should've bought this back in 2016 when it came in a multipack but I wasn't back into diecasts again back then, instead I paid for it online. Still, it's a good addition to my collection. One of these days I'm going to consolidate everything I own.
>>
>>11903611
Problem with flea markets is it's not a great environment for them. A few years ago I bought one of the racecar ones with logos on them and it doesn't roll very well because one of the wheels was damaged...a result of heat likely. I've always wondered if I could easily get some replacement wheels for it, or just spend money on an identical model.
>>
>>11904191
Replacement wheels are cheap from China but it is 5 sets minimum so you have to have a few cars you want to change to make it worthwhile to order. Damage to the decals is a bigger drawback for me, I got a few MoonEyes cars year but they all had scuffed markings. They were cheap so I do not care to much but I won't put those cars on display.

My reseller order arrived today! The boat was still in its vacuvorm and they all mintey. I looked it up, the Cruella car also comes from a pack with other cars I don't want and I did never even see the Moon Long Bloc for sale over here, so for stuff like this resell bro can make some money off me.
That brings me to another question; how much are you guys willing to spend on a 1/64? I have been eyeing the Hot Wheels Moon streamliner for a long time now but it is old and I have to import it so that's going to be some €40,- (including shipping)
>>
>>11904935
>how much are you guys willing to spend on a 1/64?
Depends on the brand. For Hot Wheels/Matchbox, the most I've ever paid was $10 for a premium and even that felt like I was overpaying.

Thing is, I want stuff we don't get over here. We have Pendine Beach and those wack Scandinavians use frozen lakes, but there is no real landspeed racing culture in Europe so streamliners and salt flats are rare over here. I can get an M2 machines belly tanker for about €20,- including shipping from inside Europe but of course not the SoCal version. Even the HW silver line salt flats series is not sold in toy stores.

I'd say you hit a motherload of diecasts. I have that desert Humvee and the desert version of the Bradley as hand-me-downs from when I was a kid. I didn't know for years that the Humvee was supposed to have a TOW launcher because it was already broken off. Most of the paint on them had already flaked off so at some point I tried to 'restore' them with acrylic paint, but it looks like I got the color too dark. I'll have to do a proper restoration one day-maybe I'll fabricate a new TOW or a .50 MG for the Humvee. I've been wondering if I should try to make an armored turret if I try the MG.

So some Targets around here have been getting these. They're stuffing them in the Halloween section, and with a bunch of other Halloween related toys, typically just setting them all on the shelf.
>>
Anyone have this one?

Just felt like showing off my Real Riders and what I remember about them. The Automobili Pininfarina Battista was my very first because I wanted to get a premium and it just looked so sexy, followed by the Chevelle I found for cheap at Ross, the Lancia whose front wheels don't work from another Ross, a used '84 Mustang SVO that came in an eBay re-pack (the seller lied that they were new), the Mazda 323 GTR from Ross, the silver '84 Mustang SVO and orange 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, and the Firebird I found yesterday in the mainline bin.

Collecting Skylines feels like an exercise in frustration. It feels like they get scalped more than any other JDM car, especially R32s and R34s.
>>
>>11914110
none of those are HW or were bought IRL, just pre-order whenever possible and buy from large specialty stores. If you are late to the game tho...
>>
Speaking of Skylines, what is Adventure Force? I've been seeing a lot of listings for a blue R34 from the brand lately.

Hey what was the name of that like, it was like parade floats of monsters so they all had a hotwheels like base but it was Jason of a skeleton with a sword riding on it?

I was at a toy store yesterday and some kind whent 'whoa that's a supra!!!' a few to times, lol.
I got another MoonEyes long bloc and they had a random Salt Flats '41 willies! (Pic of that will follow) I guess I need to find the independent toy stores to get something else than mainline popular stuff.

ERTL and Hot Wheels Batmobiles. I dont care for DC/Marvel stuff but that black Batmobile is just a cool car. The purple one came with some random track parts I got off MP.

And these came with the black Batmobile, I noticed the racing truck first and then the guy said, take all cars for €1,-. The orange one is a Corgi junior whizzwheels, never heard of that line before.

The rain stopped so final pic taken outside. A nice wifebeater combo if you don't want Dodge. The Cadillac is Matchbox, the other three cars in pic above also btw, the Mustang is HW.

Bonus pic! El Segundo! The Ground FX is my chase for that series, till I give in and just order one but a cool find this, I like the cast, the T-Bird ford from that same line is also something I would like. Just as cool, random thrift store find 1979 Matchbox Firebird. The wheels are done but this is a nice survivor overall.

I wish I could find a decent 1/64 peugeot 205 t16 and mg metro 6r4 besides the hot wheels ones. I hope spark or tarmac works makes them.

I've been wanting to get into rally for a long time but it's kind of hard to find a good entry point, plus it feels like the sport's best days are behind it.
>>
>>11920826
That's why I like the older rally cars, like group b legends such as the lancia delta s4 and the lancia rally 037.
>>
>>11920800
Not sure of this helps, who knows if such a model is still available somewhere and for a reasonable price. The other one will be spoiled in the algoritme by HW marketing I'm afraid.

You both have excellent collections, nice cars and way more organized than over here. I posted my shelf last thread, with the yellow Countach in the middle.
>>
>>11920919
Thanks anon. I had seen that CM's model before and they're tough to find due to its age. Last one I saw on ebay was around $50 and it's no longer available. I'm just hoping tarmac works actually puts this one out.
>>
>>11920798
Love that firebird.
>>
>>11920794
Great collection. I’d display mine too, but it’s a matter of the space required and displaying them properly.
>>11920800
Love this! I wanted that mini gt impreza and the tarmac 131 but missed the timing and now they go for double and more.
About the pug 205, you're all set! Tarmac Works will release it next year, so keep an eye on the market! Works Models has released a pretty good Evo VI.
>>11920826
I'm EU and a newsstand collection of 1:64 scale rally cars has recently launched in my cuntry. There's a nice list of models and quality for the models is pretty good for the money (the Fiat 131 is quite the same as the Tarmac one). You can look into that or if something similar is available for you. Just start searching for what you like more and then build up your garage, shrimple as

>Love this! I wanted that mini gt impreza and the tarmac 131 but missed the timing and now they go for double and more.
That stinks, in the US both of them are readily available and can be found all over ebay. I'm sure if you search around you can find them in the EU for cheaper than what you're currently seeing.
>About the pug 205, you're all set! Tarmac Works will release it next year
Nice! They announced it in 2025 but there was never any news about it ever again. I like that peugeot 206 on the upper right corner, is that made by CM's?
>>
>>11920940
Yeah that's a cool car. the pics I posted is finds from about two weeks, I have been busy so I did not have time to take a real good look them. The Axles are good and the tires are not crunchy, I can refurb those rims with some paint, put some love in the interior and maybe some weathering on the chips on the car itself.
>Barnfined Pontiac Firebird, RARE, some obscure engine/trim package combo produced on a full moon in springtime when the frost was still there,Smokey and the Bandit car!!! No tire kickers, 'know wat I have! 35k cash will take part part trade for Guns/Cross motors/Dodge fleet side truck. Call, number, ask for billybob
>Pee,es: The Dogs are cool, they'll let you in and you can pet, just don't try to leave.
Lol, I cannot afford the real thing so I imagine how some cars are trough models like that. I'm going to do the survivor thing, it deserves it now.

I'm still going to do up the salt shaker to go with the transport, but how about this? The Batmobile was the only good condition from that lot but all are cool cars to do some tinkering , a spoiler is easy to make and the model A rear wheels will look nice on the race truck.
It's getting colder and wetter outside so I need to get my indoor photo setup setup already. Sad, I like full natural light even if I put up some more lights myself.

Toystores has a Promotion, buy €20,- worth of Hot Wheels and get a free 'golden truck' I could not find €20,- of stuff I wanted. It will still run for a while so maybe I go back in a week orso to see if they restocked the Team Transport packs.

Visited my local mall for the first time in forever and they had a HW vending machine near one of the entrances. Six dollars for dump bin quality mainlines from like two years ago. What the hell kind of insanity is that?

People are addicted to chacha and blind boxes these days. My local stores have a vending and a claw machine for single Pokemon cards. Ofcourse with big stickers of the rare cards you can get.

Is that deep gray/black considered the R32's signature color or something? I rarely see it in anything else except maybe white.
