Ok, we found the toyline, Match Box Big Rigs, though I don't know if it's this exact toy.

Mega-Rigs, actually. They were originally produced under the Hot Wheels brand until Mattel acquired Matchbox. They would later have a reboot in the 2000s with a modular design that allowed you to reconfigure them.

Ah, yes, they had all sorts of warriors from the world metal figure collections. I had a samurai one that was cool, but I predictably lost it. Those are from Brazil btw, IIRC the US collections are different due to some legislation about toys in kids candies autism.

heh interesting. I'm in NZ so they had the realistic figure types over here. we got one each as a kid and my sisters and I would use them to represent ourselves in games.

Got this coming in this week, very excited. Cheaper than the pearia stuff and looks just as good, plus the horror head size format is my favorite. So grateful to have multiple companies getting into the game.
