Your joints don't magically extend out unless you dislocated them. Unless there are convenient shoulder pads, range and aesthetics are always a tradeoff. I can't think of figures with just as much range as AY and looks better. Most figure makes sacrifice the range. It's unreleased so can't judge on the range or how they look at extreme limits yet but the Sexyice CRE Bioroid does look promising though. It probably can work for most body types but bigger chest pieces will probably be an issue because the joints are internal where it doesn't matter for AY because the joints are on the surface level. .

The "Revoltech" of MHA are sculpted by Maoji who is a freelancer who also works on figma and SHF (not personally sure about them because Bandai don't normally talk about sculptors). Current "Revoltech" have zero Yamaguchi involvement. The "Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi" for MHA are all sculpted by Yamaguchi. The Maoji Revoltechs are scaled smaller than the AY MHA, but the AY and SHF of MHA seem to be close in scale as the MHA SHF are kind of big for SHF. That also depends on if you think the teens and adults are scaled correctly.
