sugoi desu
>>11900815ah so sugoi, when is the brownoid/turd world GB starting?
>>11900830January and it ends at the end of October, that way, I can have the collage up for the thread over Christmas and New Year's.
>>11900681So are they bad?
My God, I was wrong! Italeri was shit all along! How can they still produce a kit with such remarkable fitting issues? It's like an old zvezda kit and the boomers on the forums say it is good, fuck off
>>11900844Testors is the kind of garbage you only use because you're new or 70 years old and unable to try new things. Order good brands off Amazon if you can't find hobby stores willing to help
sup again, decided to experiment on my 2nd model, which is better, the kit one or imrpovised but unrealistic one?
>>11900844What the other anon said. It's the difference of using something that is half a step up from fucking arts and crafts class paint vs not actually fighting against your paints. For brush get Vallejo or AK, for airbrush Tamiya or Mr. Color. There are other options, but these are most widely available. I refuse to suggest anyone use Citadel because even if they are pretty good quality, they cost like 2-3x the price which is beyond gay.
>>11900860If the left one is the "unrealistic" one, then that is way better. Cut the bars thinner or get some PS plastic bars and use those along with a round one for the bolts.
>>11900862left one i cobbled together from pieces of the aliexpress grille for 2$, thought it might look cooler than just plain plastic mold, but because tamiya made the plastic on original about as thick as yamato's turret armor i decided fuck it and just cut it all, the initial plan was to leave the bars and just apply the net from behind.its unrealistic cause of the bars but i was going for something battered and improvised, inspired by BT-7 grille
>>11900860On the right side example, would it have been too much of a hassle to paint the squares black and drybrush with green instead of painting it green and drybrushing with black? That would've made it a bit easier to stomach.
>>11900860Letf is better
>>11900869Yes but i basically knew i was gonna replace it
>>11900850>It's like an old zvezda kitSo... An italeri?
Current state of G3M assembly
>>11900963You've built it on top of Japanese genitalia anon
>>11900963what merits this censorship?
>recommend mr top coat spray can gloss coat>boomer asks if it would be good used from an airbrush>tell him there is no reason to, it sprays perfectly fine from the can>no i cant spray it from the can in my apartmentBUT YOU CAN DECAN IT AND USE IT ANYWAY? It's the same fucking amount of gases you release, if not more since you're decanning the whole thing. I hate boomers and their retarded ideas
>>11900966bro thinks he's gonna get doxed from his table lmao
>>11900964No I edized it>>11900966I didn't want to to this but the image was too big for 4chan and pixeling it made it small enough to fit
Come on man, are the conditions in Italeri like the bombed out Ansaldo factories in 44?
>>11900982just scale the image lil bro
>>11900986>ah isa good enough>timea to drinka some wine
Greek competition in Kavala coming up, a lot of people are to show up, judging by the amount of envelopes the registration people had Will post more pics tomorrow when there are more contestants
>>11900850I assure you that every single one of the retards that claim kits like that are good haven't even taken the sprues out of their plastic bagsThere's a peculiar derangement with certain modellers that makes them think just looking at sprues lets you know how good a kit is, it's the same one that floods the internet with "in-box" reviews that tell you less than nothing
First ever time I'm painting plastic tracksThat's my third model, how did i do? (Weird question i know it's just black with some brown and drybrushed silver) I have no pigments, are they worth it?
>>11901609This leads me to go on about kit "reviews". What do you even get looking at something and not even building it. What is even the point at that point?
>>11901663I really like them, did you dry brush them?
>>11901609>>11901896In box reviews piss me off. I love that Super Hobby has basically destroyed any reason for those places to exist with sprue shots because it literally has the same value as some old fuck saying wow it has recessed panel lines it must be good
I really wanna buy some ghq
Somebody did the iconic iron maiden tank
do you guys keep shit old builds? I'm trying to throw mine out, but it feels weird
>>11902098my favorite boomer review of all time>youtube hobbyboss T-35 review>guy reads the T-35 wikipedia article word for word>does not take sprues out of the plastic bags, with some lame excuse about why he doesn't until he builds the kit>lighting and camera so poor all you can see is glare or reflections off the bag
Some stealth aircraft of some sort
Replying to: 11902098WELL WITHOUT THE DANG KIT REVIEW HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS IN THE BOX. WHAT THE HELL IS A SUPER HOBBY, THAT LIKE SQUADRON? >>11902224When you gotta make the most of not finishing your MiG-29 I guess>>11902205I have two glass cabinets and a couple of floating shelves that my models go on when completed. I rotate them out into the plastic boxes of despair as they get superceded by better, later builds. Maybe someday I'll have a house that's big enough to have an exhibit for them all but for now this is my storage and if they break so be it. I keep a few builds in my glass cabinet that should have gone in here like the first model I built getting back into models and such.
>>11902286Just as some examples here, next ones to be boxed up will be (from top to bottom) the MiG-29 (it simply isn't a model I was particularly fond of), the 1/48 F-16 (it's probably the worst build in the cabinet), and then probably the 1/72 Rafale that's barely visible. It's fine, the beauty of model making is the process. If you just want the end result die cast models are right there
