It’s been days since the last thread died and no one has created a new one.Newage Drift is shipping out now, hopefully Blurr isn’t far behind.
>>11900848Right now I’m waiting for that black Perceptor recolor.Other than that I’m waiting for Bingo Toys to drop more info on their Technobots. Their second release convinced me to go all in after clearing some doubts I had.
>>11900969GDI
>>11900969>>11900971Any issues?
>>11900978Yeah I'm a moron
>>11901026HUH!?
Waiting for my waifu.
This SD BB is cute as hell
>>11901459
>>11901459>>11901460He's adorable. I have him and the upcoming G1 Optimus on preorder.
Who here ordering SD Rolling Thunder Optimus?
>>11901474
>>11901477
>>11900848Despite a few nitpicks (I’d prefer smaller door kibble, thicker thighs, and lower knee placement) I really like this design. Cool that the robot mode references the Flame Toys design so heavily, despite some proportional differences and an earth-based car mode.
>>11901503I hope we see more Legends+ comic figures from Newage. Hot Rod, Arcee, or Whirl would be cool to see. Or even War Within Optimus. But I’m also fine if S-03 is something else entirely, given that S-01/02 don’t really match.
>>11901514This feels like a parallel universe where Iron Factory steadily matured/refined as a company, instead of randomly dropping a samurai figure every so often (which still have simplistic engineering and sculpting).
>>11901474Make it a SD Nemesis and I'm there.
>>11901357Got my ship notice from ShowZ today. Can't wait. I'm hoping it's good enough to buy at least one repaint. I'm always a sucker for Paradron Medic Arcee repaints.
>>11901514>given that S-01/02 don’t really match. This is my biggest problem with Ronin. It's too big to be legends scale, it's too small to be proper CHUG "deluxe scale." I just don't understand what they were thinking with the scaling, especially with the S-02 designation. Romulus was too small for CHUG scale as well but they were trying to scale it with the Siege/Earthrise Prime from what I've heard.
>Finally a fractyl toy >They replace bronze with an ugly yellow wtf why their other two colors of this mold were great. If you like this guy you are doomed not even Hasbro cares enough to make a repaint. At least transart did Packrat.
Do they still do OS versions of the Hasbro figures
>>11902016I think people have been blasting Metagate loudly enough online that they'll cave and correct the colors... I hope. Also, I'm really glad MP Rattrap got KO'ed recently. It gives me hope that they'll release it in Packrat colors before Takara does. The TransArt Packrat is really great, BTW.
>>11902026Thanks I don't have a Chinese account to know people are complaining to give me hope lol. I own that Packrat and I love him . It's too bad they never got a chance to do the rest of the Wreckers.
Actually almost forgot about these boysShowed up the other day and they're pretty solid despite being like %80 the same mold. They still feel noticeably different and have a fair amount of different transformations steps
>>11903116Just got them tooI've noticed a few people not folding the tabs into his back
Are there any 3P figures of Knock Out from Prime? I have the original toy and liked the look of the R.E.D. one, but the latter was extremely gummy.
>>11903447Unfortunately notThe only toys in prime are from APC toys which are improved KO’s, unfortunately not knockout or breakdown yet though
>>11903434I THINK I got mine right. Didn't look at instructions at all but it's been fun seeing how well they engineered some stuff and how things kinda tab in and set firm. My only complaint and maybe it's mine but my Wild Rider has some noticeable sprue marks there and thereAlmost Magic Square level. Maybe I got a rough one tho
>>11903447Not yet but given how wild APC went making an entirely new mold nearly for Airachnid I'm willing to be eventually if they do the full cast we'll see a new Knockout that actually does him wellI'm still hoping Starscream is soon
>>11903662Iirc that toy was based on a custom someone had made, so unless someone made a custom screen accurate Knockout don't hold your breath.
>>11903711only women care about knock out and those fan girls dont buy toys last I checked
Does anyone have the Cang Toys Insecticons? I kinda wanna get the not-Bombshell for a repaint job I have in mind and he's quite cheap on the aftermarket; any issues I should be aware of?
>>11903728I have the axe beetle and scorpion (have stag beetle on preorder) the things that you need to worry about are squeaky tight joints and sharp molding kind of like APC Megatron if you have that toy. The plastic also feels like chinesium mystery meat so who knows how long these toys will last. I wouldn't use any potentially caustic paints in any case for a custom job.
Final price for MM prime is $280 on ShowZ
>>11903660Mine tooJust behind the door on the left side so there was a little gapI just filed it down a little bit and it’s great now
>>11903779>squeaky joints>questionable feeling plastic>lack of tabbing partsYep, sounds like Cang
>>11903898Oh and to add onto that, I had to tighten his right leg too as it was a little looseLuckily you can reach the screw without disassembling
Fair price or too high?
>>11903943It's Bayshit, so you deserve to pay out the nose for your bad taste
>>11903943I think 250 would have been the sweet spot, but they cornered the hell out of UT so they know they can play the game. And yes it's probably like $215 before ShowZ bakes in shipping, but the point still stands.
>>11904090this is what i grew up with boomer :3
>>11903943Their BB Optimus was about $250 before upgrades and that seems like a simpler build with less paint. Looking at their page it makes me wonder what kind of repaints we'll get. There's definitely a lot of potential to do cool decos like Nightwatch and Defender. The bootleg trio of Purple Nemesis + Teal Nemesis + Ultra Magnus is getting a bit tiring.
>>11904090look at the incel seeth about how much more successful bayverse is compared to slop like bumblebee or one
>>11903943I don't think its entirely unfair as it looks like another stunner. Being first to market against UT and FOMO will carry it, especially since they are splitting the pot with two versions instead of parts swapping.
>>11903943Too high but if you're willing to remind yourself that a non-transforming official merch variant exists for an even higher price, you might be able to convince yourself easier. For me, I'll wait for the jet parts addons, which will likely shoot up in price like MM01's coveted upgrade set.
>>11901357i feel this is kind of an unpopular opinion on a gooner infested site like this but i really would prefer more non sexualized fembots that look nice standing next to my other bots. Which is why the belly button irks me so much, this is really nice otherwise
>>11904766I prefer the rare middle ground like MMC Azalea or TF Prime First Edition Arcee. That CyberGoddess looks too stylized, too weeb
>>11904828>MMC AzaleaI wish they'd reissue or improve her
Out of the loop for a bit. Any 3rd parties developed new mini-cons outside of Fans-Hobby doing the weapon trios?
>>11904906No one doing UT but FH brother
My first dip into third part Transformers. I'm a suckered for bugs and U saw the two together for $65 and couldn't say no.Excited to open em up
Baiwei's Animated Nemesis Prime is on sale on ShowZ so I grabbed one to go with my Optimus.
Anyone interested in Micromasters?
>>11905697Pretty posable
>>11905605I already have the regular red Prime. Motormaster is tempting but I'll definitely get Toxitron if they do him.
>>11905605For less than £12 after shipping that's a steal and a half.
I recently got into collecting Legends, I got NA Sixshot and he's cool as fuck. I now want a bunch of NA figures and have Magnus on the way and EX Perceptor on pre-order.
>>11906065Magnus is really great honestly. Yea it's the Optimus who was already great but the legs have a noticeably different engineering
>>11906065>>11906081
>>11906145>Newage did a Solus Prime from Arcee forever ago>Never did another prime sinceManThe Trailbreaker/Hoist mold would probably work for Alchemist Prime or imagine Jetfire Mold getting retooled somehow into a Tank for The FallenI can almost see it
>>11905697>>11905698Are these technically legends scaled? Not that I care because I'm throwing them in there anyway because I like Dr.Wu stuff but just curious.
>>11905697Yeah I'm all in (new molds anyway) for Dr Wu
>>11905697I preordered them mostly because I lost my original Micromasters. They do look nice though. But I'm really looking forward to their Dinobots.
>>11906248They're OG sized so they fit with everythingIf you're going by real scale, then probably legends yeah
>>11906462>scale in Transformers Just call it a budget class like Hasbro does.
>>11906497Well it’s show scale with that legend scale Star saber
>>11906145Pretty much exactly how it happened
""You Can Pay Balance Now!"
>>11905697>>11905698Two new models just got announced.
>>11908594They were announced a while ago, just after the first two were announced, but the colours are wrong, they’re half zone and half hasbroIt’s
>>11908637I knew I saw two pairs of Micromasters on ShowZ but then one of the listings disappeared. I thought I misremembered.
Newage H38 Bullitt (Dead End)I'm curious why Dragstrip and Wildrider are listed as a 2-pack but Breakdown and Dead End are listed separately. My only guess is that Breakdown and Dead End will include some combiner kibble or something.
>>11908730Looks good. I'm all-in for the G2 versions.
>>11908730Wasn't a fan at first glance but he's growing on me. I really want to see Motormaster though.
Are these guys any good, or is there some issue with them I should be aware of? Saw them going for a pretty alright price on Ali recently and I'm seriously tempted.
>>11911391I have a clear version and it does the job of being a sword. It's just going to be too heavy for Hastak stuff though.I don't think you'd have any issues of them breaking, especially that version.
How is that Initial D Drift? I don't typically buy third party stuff but I love Initial D and I love Drift so I really want it.
>>11911832Pretty fucking cool. I really like the alternate concept head. He's a little awkward in proportions but the alt mode is top notch. There's a few reports of exploding fingers on the hands but mine haven't had that issue (yet).
>>11911847I might pick one up then. I know we'll never get an official collab and the collab line is spotty at best anyway.
>>11911788I like mine a lot, but even as someone that likes complex transformations, his a bit much. He's the only figure in my collection that I can't get the alt mode to line up just right. Other than that, the fingers on my figure haven't exploded, but they are very prone to falling apart. I am very fond of him though, there's something about the scale that feels great. I think it's from growing up with the Alternators line where the robot modes were always limited, whereas this one has all the joints and features you could ever want.
Which 3rd party transformer has the best articulation?
Will anyone else take up the mantle of making FoC designs? Planet X was peak.
>>11912313MMC has some wildly good stuff. Perfect Effect Warden was damn good too
>>11912351Shockwave was a pretty meh release, his head isn't even screwed together so just lightly pinching his ears makes his head explode
>>11912313Double recommend MMC's Orion Paxes and a lot of the MMC comics line in general. Another half-recommend is my most recent buy, UniqueToys Red Dasher (Ferrari) and I shit you not, that guy's shoulders and double jointed elbows makes him one of the few TFs who can pull off dyamic tactical firearms poses. The downside is that his fingers aren't articulated so he can't really hold firearms with trigger guards like say, Macfarlene weapons, but there's a KO of him now called DO02 Dino that fixes his fingers and adds a more movie accurate collar, but at the cost of being shorter.
>>11912351Planet X announced recently they were doing Soundwave next.
>>11913253Locutus? Of Borg?
>>11913253>Planet X still aroundHoly shit>No Warpath still
The wait for Newage to release Breakdown or even remotely tease Superion or Bruticus is killing meI just want my Aerialbots or a Bruticus
https://youtu.be/xwwQd_tMEUo?is=JNraEcZI6BNU08HyMech invasion is starting three size classes? Small vehicle voltron Medium Dinobots/ constructiconsLarge Bruticus
>>11918823>>11918824>Brutics being made and big boy>THREE fucking Dinobots already shown offWe're so back
>>11919493I should bust these guy back out, they're great
>>11919524I was into them for them looking somewhat Cybertronian but fuuuuck they really surprised meI'm looking forward to the add on truck and the Bruticus
>>11919493>>11919584I've already got my preorder in for swole-ndle
>>11919524>>11919493>>11919584Is there a good stylized Megatron that will fit in with these guys? In bot mode they are the size of a Leader Dinobot, so Rioter Despotron only works with the relatively shorter combined mode.
Pretty sure Robot Toys Primal 2.0 is scheduled to release this month, personally my most “important” figure of the year
>>11919916What are you going to do with your 1.0?
>>11919873Monocrat Megatank is probably the biggest Megatron, he’s about 10cm taller than them
>>11919916I'm patiently waiting for Transmetals from these guys. Unless they're crazy and make a Universe/SG repaint.
>>11919955Realistically it will live in a shoebox for years to come. It’s a solid figure, but a mini MP season 1 Primal is something I’ve dreamed of since the G1 legends scene proved it was possible.
Weird one from APC. First Edition Arcee, Transmutate colors, new (but not accurate to anything) head sculpt.
>>11920729Looks a little modified
>>11920729We could have skipped this entirely manI was REALLY hoping next APC was Starscream or a Ratchet
Anybody own the Iron Trans or MMC Drift?Or any of the Drifts? Best ones?
>>11920729>but not accurate to anythingThey made some origin comic for Transmutate comic and she was a Prime Arcee recolor in it (you know, before being royally fucked up by a faulty stasis pod and all that)
>>11921245I just received Newage Drift. Great little figure aside from the chunky door kibble. I knew what to expect, but I’m somehow still surprised how much it gets in the way.
>>11920729I've always wanted APC to do a Transmutate deco of their Arcee, the original Collector's Club one is functionally unobtainable.Probably would have preferred it to not have the gormless comic book headscupt, but it'll grow on me.I wonder how much of it is made of painted transparent plastic?
>>11921737Looks like the 2 side panels + rear piece
Ok this looks incredible. Not sure if CHUG or MP scale.
>>11921752
>>11921758This is exactly the type of stylization I like to see - exaggerated portions and dynamic poseability, but not edgy. Too many non-toon figures tiny heads, brick-house bodies, and egregious surface detailing.
>>11921775Looks like it has one of the cleanest truck modes too. Think of how good any transforming toy could be if it had as many unique iterations as G1 Prime.
>>11921752>>11921758>>11921775>>11921779I still think the Newage Optimus is my fav so far but could be better chest and in a few area'sIf this ISN'T the dogshit soft ass material Magic Square uses then it'll be damn near perfect
>>11921752>>11921758>>11921775>>11921779Looks MPI wonder if it’s DX9
