>>11904844that blood angel is boring af and space wolves are gay… NEXT!
>>11904844I'm looking forward to the IW Jumpers but in general the line doesn't do anything exciting lately. Nightlords look meh, the pre heresy World Eater is meh and made worse because they have all the molds they need to make him right.
>>11904917i was excited about mk2s until i found out they shrunk them down again..
>>11904844I went to joy toy website clicked on random Marines and there's a nigger inside.
>>11905018The white marines are sold out... But there's a promotion on the niggers.
>>11904921Wtf why?
while i appreciate that they're finally starting heresy world eaters, i do wish the sergeant came with an chainaxe or powerfist instead of a power sword oh well, the alt heads make up for it somewhat
Do you think GW should adopt cute Tau girls as canon? It would boost popularity and sales.
>>11905632they already have
>>11905637are there figures produced?
>>11905640Commander Farsight.
>>11904921WTF there is NO reason for these not to match the rest of the iron warriors.
>>11905651she's fugly.
>>11904921>>11905128>>11905692wait there’s more!
>>11904844>taumarines>>11904912It doesn't even come with a dog dildo, what a shitty SW figure.
>>11904921>mine shipped a few days ago It's over...
>>11906637you will love your cute small metal buddy.
real talk the 1.0 proportions are still my favorite even if later figures got massive improvementsthe paint jobs were great, too
>>11906668was never a fan of their tiny little legs
>>11904844It's so fucking boring. A myriad of different armies and games they could do and it's always just a recolored marine.
>>11906692Crazy… its almost like warhammer is about space marines..
>>11906688Anyone know where I can find the MKVII heads in black? Kinda want to make a proper Black Templar, the way they used to...Also, is it just me or are the Krieger headsculpts so fucked up? I feel they ended up looking less like a proper Krieger and more of Star Wars' fuckin' Garindan. In short, they look like a damn xeno!(Are there alternate Joytoy heads that can be used to make them look more like a proper Krieger?)
>>11906698I hate how stingy they are with the MKVII helmets these days
>>11906743Yeah. I'm sick of the MkX Primaris oversaturation and the lack of proper MkVII support. Makes you really wanna call Cawl and cawld-clock him into a cawldron. How do we get JoyToy to hear the call for the classic MKVII?
>>11906692afaik the other factions they had didn't sell super wellthey're also horribly out of scale with everything now, the necrons are the same height as the skitarii when they're supposed to be at least a full head taller
>>11906778I don't recall Necrons being particularly massive.
>>11906836>he thinks the miniatures are all correctly scaled according to canonEveryone point and laugh
Which of the spacemarine figures have the best articulation/range of motion?
>>11906846The Space Marines are (or were, rather) the only significant example of mis-scaling with the models though. Well there's vehicles too I suppose but wargames always use slightly underscaled vehicles, even historicals.
>>11907353>lies without providing a sourceImpressive. Nothing about 40k models match canon sizes as depicted in the codexes. https://www.danireon.com/en-us/blogs/news/what-scale-is-warhammer-40k?srsltid=AU7gw4WrYOitN5-6RcAn-jf_k6BYL8xJslgi7LORmRrf-o6vXdnPBI_N
>>11907414Show me the source for Necrons towering over Skitarii.
>>11907415Official codex art depicts Necron Warriors as tall as Astartes. A Skitarii Ranger like the model you posted are not as tall as Astartes. Codexes are the end all be all to canon. Case closed.
>>11907424The Space Marine there is being blown backwards and has his knees buckling. plus the composition and perspective is not clear at all.And that's quite aside from Codex art being incredibly inconsistent to the point of being useless for basing scale off of. Space Marines alone run the gamut from being a fairly sensible 7.5ft tall to being 9ft+ pinheaded giganiggas.Frankly though getting worked up about scale in 40K is pointless because outside of Marines being depicted as bigger than an average human (though again, by how much is inconsistent) 40K scale has NEVER made any sense or been consistently depicted.I can't blame JoyToy for going off the minis for scale as it's the closest thing to a solid baseline they can work off of. Though I am glad that weird experimental phase of making the Marines absolutely gargantuan is over, that was dumb as fuck.
>>11907426All JoyToy had to do was establish one these and stick to it. Show it to every designer of their figures and show their figures matching the chart on the promo photos. Also Skitarri should be around Aeldari height here.
>>11906696
>>11906692It's as bad as Star Wars clones
>>11907424I like to think the Necrontyr were also extremely tall. It's just funny to imagine.
>>11907741If your minuscule fanbase had any sway in the franchise joytoy would have sold enough gayelf figures to justify more releases (that goes for all xeno scum) they are probably still stocked full of xeno figures they can’t get rid of while even the gayest of space marins (space wolves-thousand sons) sell out every time.
I am absolutely fed up with JoyToy using the helmets on the left as the standard for MKVI figures instead of the classic, traditional ones. The beak on those helmets has sharp ridges along the nose section that simply don't look right on any Legion other than the Raven Guard.
>>11907782>he thinks it's xenos fagsWhenever anyone complains about marines, always bet on guardfags. Their persecution complex over not being the protagonists of the setting leads them to lash out at every faction except Chaos (who they believe they are entitled to lead the charge against as the rightful nemesis of the TRVE HUMAN Astra Militarum).
>>11907782Tom & Don should get in contact with joytoy about making psycho warrior figures.Do you anons think it would work?
>>11905732Whats the issue here? gravis armor marine is correct being taller.
Has anyone made some sort of 3d printable replacement drop down hip joint for the older marine figures?
>>11904844any salamanders figures you would recommend?I have Tsek'gan and like him, but not sure if I want another or not.
>>11906668I disliked early v1 Primaris, they looked a bit too "toony", but I really liked early Heresy marines and firstborn releases, like Vanguard vets and Grey Knights from that era. Joytoy of that time still followed tabletop proportions a bit too religiously, so they just looked like upscaled GW minis in action figure form. But after that fucking Space Marine 2 collaboration, the whole line went to shit. They got way too frivolous and inconsistent with scale and proportions, with their constant back and forth and using gamified proportions of Saber Interactive Primaris as a baseline for everybody. My current issues are:"New" terminators are way too fucking big. I like proportions, but they are too big. Only original Titus trio and some outliers like named characters/HQ look decent next to them, everybody else is way too tiny. Regular marine scale jumping around, they started shrinking them again. See recent Mk2s or Vheren Ashurhaddon.Helmets/heads don't follow consistent scale and often end up being way too tiny.Paint jobs got worse, shading and additional detailing are long gone. Just compare black colors of Justaerin terminators and Raven Guard releases, day and night difference in terms of shading. Raven Guard just look like black blobs.Drastic price increase. Nuff said.
>>11908613the early firstborn figures were just as “toony” as the rest. It wasn’t until the first mkvi tactical squad that they started getting the leg proportions right but even they were still too small.
>>11908521Check them out: Vulkan He'stan, the Forgefather, Captain Adrax Agatone and Salamanders Firedrake Terminator 1
tempted to get Castellan Crowe but won't he look like a midge next to modern figures?
>>11908680Yes
>>11908521>recommend salamandersNo
>>11907432They did, it was the models.>>11907426If the anon you are responding to is who I expect it to be, then don't even bother engaging more, because we have a resident schizo that thinks one official media is absolute, while another is not. Scratch that, subbu thinks FAN ART is more canon than the official primary media lmao!>>11907782Only orks seemed to have done poorly, and tyranids did well enough for like 3 waves, butt they didn't do a wide enough variety, in my opinion. Both types of gaunts, and a warrior was great, but it's extremely odd that warriors only got one single release type, when more variety was as simple as different arms, and maybe a head.Lictors, leapers, and tyrant guard should've been released, and either a tyrant or carnifex as their big ass figure....It would be nice to at least get one wave of eldar (basic foot soldiers, an HQ, and a wraith guard, at least).>>11908024Psycho warrior figures would be a bit tricky, due to their, ironically, toy like proportions. Namely getting the butterfly shoulders to work, AND look good.Normally I hate gimmicky play features, but the helmet opening up would be hella sick.
>>11908703Ironically there IS one model kit I know that has proportions that could be a base for a Psycho-Warrior: the 30MM Oliveboi - er, Extended Armament Vehicle (Armored Assault Mecha).Well, it'd be a pain to get the shoulderpads right, sadly, short of using magnets.
>>11908703Okay so according to "the models" this is the canon height difference between Titus and a Dark Angel Captain? Both Primaris.
>>11908746This has been explained before; the Space Marine 2 figures were much bigger than the others because if they were the same size they'd have been total pinheads due to the game model proportions. People hated it so they went back to the older scaling (thank goodness). Not quite sure why they extended that to the HH figures but there we go.
>>11908673thanks anon
>>11908725Seems to me you could just do something like the Master Gundam's big ball shoulders without needing magnets.
>>11908746Every figure based off of a model follows those proportions almost EXACTLY.Initial figures based off of the SM2 game were basically a different line, and used the source material (the game models) as reference, hence the size discrepancies between figures from different waves (and "lines").They are clearly trying to reconcile all of these small differences and changes throughout the years.Yes, it's annoying, but if you know where to look, you can see the lines of logic, even if they don't always run parallel.>>11908762Pretty much.>>11908725The shoulders could work, if you do some small tweaks here and there (much like they did on their own official models lol), many of which involve using HUGE joints lmao.Funny enough, I kinda tried to make sense of the arnor in this funny little drawing of mine (don't mind Puppy, she's just being a dork :p)
>>11908725>>11908703>>11908024>>11907782what the fuck is this furfag shit, i didnt realize space king fans were fucking furry degenerates
>the warhammer thread is more active than it has been for over a year>it's just to point out that Joytoy is fucking up the scale once againof course.>>11908703it should have become obvious i wasn't the only one who cared about scale until after Joytoy fucked up their own scale and this General became a ghost town after even more scale fuck ups. The casuals who didn't care about the scale being fucked up only started to care once their own toys got out of scale with the newer toys.>>11908746The guy's just making shit up, because Joytoy doesn't understand scale and he's a shill who needs to defend Joytoy's fuck ups. See also the Starcraft thread where the Zerg aren't in scale with any source either. The toys were never based on the models like he claims, since the proportions and even the stylization were constantly changing on the Joytoy figures. Nevermind the scale never matched up with the models either... at least, not at first. Who knows if Joytoy just happened to match the scale during one of their scale changes. Even a clock that's randomly spinning its hands will tell the correct time at least once.
Oh, it's subby...Yeah that guy doesn't own any minis nor toys, he can only steal pics online, so suffice to say that he has absolutely zero clue on what he is foaming at the mouth about.Wow, the retard can't even get the common saying correct lmao"A broken clock is right twice a day"...Oh that's right, he's a chink!>>11908869Did you mean to respond to >>11908863?? Somehow, you managed to hit EVEY other post that mentions Space King, except for the one with an actual furry lmao
>>11908975
>>11908975You were trying to accuse some guy of being samefag, because shills like you need to pretend everyone who cares about Joytoy fucking up would be samefag. So I'm just saying that this thread became depopulated once you casuals all got fucked over when Joytoy decided that their non-scale toys would become non-scale to their non-scale toys by increasing the scale not once, not twice, but three times (and now here's the fourth). So there's no way i could have pretended to have been everyone else in this thread when it became a ghost town over a year ago due to Joytoy fucking up too many times. Also, you're proving you're a third worlder for not knowing that saying. Everyone in the first world knows what they saying means, because it's also known as "a stopped clock..." because we've all seen the Disney Channel or Nick animate it.So i can't quite use that saying if Joytoy continues moving their scale around, hence my need to modifying the phraseYou newfag third worlders must come from worst countries than the oldfag third worlders we used to have, because at least they admitted to being ESLs, didn't try so badly at fitting in, and actually had fun meet ups. I bet you moved away from your shithole because having fun in your old country is punishable by limb separation.
>>11909097Post models, secondary.
>>11909259Even GW doesn't have consistent scaling with models. Apparently Kasrkin are up to the chin if Primaris.
>>11909317GW doesn't have consistent scaling period.
>>11909243>>11909259I met the first goalposts years ago, shills. Notice the PLURAL form of GOALPOST, which means i proved i was a fan of WH40k many many years before the figures even came out AND the fact that i do own the figures, hence knowing first hand the many problems with Joytoy's figures.I didn't need to prove anything after that, since you shills are just desperate to defend Joytoy and during your bullshitting, you shills proved you knew nothing about WH40k and were only finding out about the series while you were constantly being proven wrong by me. BAsically, you learned about WH40k from me.>>11909317it doesn't matter if GW contradicts itself from time to time, it's the fact that Joytoy doesn't give a shit about scale (and there are official sizes listed.)If video game/books/etc series can have consistent scales, there's no reason Joytoy couldn't.And fucking over previous figures with random scale changes is ultimately why the WH40k thread is a ghost town now and only exists for the shills to annoucne the figures to nobody and to mock Joytoy's nonexistant scale.pic is from when you retards didn't know primaris marines even existed, since you tards thought a video game would prove you right, when it only proved what non-fans you shills are about WH40k
>>11909507>It doesn't matter if 40K has never had an even remotely consistent scale! JoyToy did 40K figures better than Todd and that makes me MAD!Genuinely who cares. The Marines are bigger than the standard humanoids, that's good enough. Now post models, secondary-kun.
