>>11908008SHF Gamerverse Venom, I guess they haven't switched to Marvel Games yet over at Bandai.
>>11908008The fact that Santa Spiderman sold tells me that collectors are buying plastic just to buy plastic.
>>11908056Or that they're just enjoying the hobby and you're a miserable ass.
>>11908043Marvel games is specifically for marvel legends and it’s what’s allowing them to list figures as from specific games. It’s a whole new rights agreement.
>>11908099doesnt really make sense why "gamerverse" isn't allowed to say that in the first place. this is more corporations just having no idea what they are doing.
>>11908043dang it I wanted Captain America
>>11908108Are you 12?
>>11908111I'd argue Hasbro marketers look like babies when they have to dance around saying a character is in their Marvel Vs Capcom look
>>11908056Holy shit what a miserable mindset to have. I bought it because I have a handful of Christmas themed figures, including Santa, that I break out every year to go with my other various Christmas decorations. Everyone I know already knows I'm a massive Spider-Man fan and I already have a bunch of figure like Christmas ornaments so adding a Spider-Man in a Santa coat to the tree isn't anything weird for my house. Stop being such a miserable fucking faggot.
>>11908114NTA but holy shit, you are 12. Hasbro has no control over that and they're beholden to Disney and Capcom in terms of actually marketing these figures under their trademarks. It's probably Capcom if anything being a pain in the ass since I'm sure the Marvel half of MvC is covered by the master license that Hasbro holds.
>>11908120Just say it's from MVC anyway, don't be a corporate stooge that needs to get approval for everything. No one from Capcom is watching a Hasbro toy reveal.
>>11908128Tell me you've never had a job without telling me you've never had a job before. Oh wait, you just did.
>>11908130I do have a jerb, but it ain't a fancy marketin' one you fancy suited New Yorker
>>11908114It looked especially bad when they've used actual ingame assets on the box but can't aknowledge Capcom and the name of "the games", "yeah, I love the games". I think they only started properly naming Capcom with the Sentinel made-to-order, ironically a design that Marvel's representative hated back in the day and Akira Nishitani had to fly to New York to formally apologize for.
>>11908133Considering Hasbro has been dropping employees like flies, I'd imagine that no employee wants to overstep a boundary or do something that could upset license holders just so they can say the words "Marvel vs Capcom" on a live stream that like 400 people tops watch.
>>11908135Again, it's outside of their control. If Capcom doesn't want them directly marketing these figures under the name Marvel vs Capcom, it's not like Hasbro can just do it anyway. Seems like they've come to an agreement which is nice, but let's not be actual retarded children here and pretend we don't understand how licensing works.
>>11908139>>11908135It's pretty shady in the corporate sense when Hasbro made them look very much like MvC versions of the characters and posed them like the fighting game animations as well, yet knew they weren't "allowed" to market them as from Marvel VS Capcom. Because the anyone who saw the figures knows what they're aping.
>>11908142*Because then anyone
>>11908142What's more shady is that you seemingly don't understand how trademarks work. The Marvel figs are covered under the Marvel master license and Capcom can't trademark poses that a figure is put in. It's can be pretty easily inferred that Hasbro couldn't reach an agreement to use the actual Marvel vs Capcom name until they changed the agreement to the Marvel Games umbrella. There's really not much thought behind this, it's pretty obvious. Please anon, just go back to putting fries in the bag, this is clearly above your paygrade.
>>11908148>Living by the letter of the law rather than the spirit of it isn't shadyThe letter kills, but the spirit gives life.
>>11908151We're talking about copyright laws here you fucking goober. Seriously, go bag my groceries, it's clearly all you're able to comprehend.
>>11908148>It's can be pretty easily inferred that Hasbro couldn't reach an agreement toThis is some real insane mind twists just so you can try to shitpost about Hasbro
>>11908167If they were an honest corporation who really believed in giving credit to Capcom for bringing these versions of the characters to life, they would seek and gain cooperation from Capcom before putting out these products, even if it technically violates no law. But they're not an honest corporation, are they?
>>11908175Hoooooly shit man, you need a new hobby, crying about "b-but they're not h-ho-hooonest!"
>>11908173Not really. >>11908175For all intents and purposes that seems to be exactly what they did. Not sure why you're getting your panties in a twist about it. Bandai isn't calling their Gamerverse stuff Marvel vs Capcom either.
>>11908181Yeah really
>>11908061>enjoying the hobbyfor marvel legends? bleak. $35 for mismatched spidey hands again. so much for the season of giving and they cant give these hobby enjoyers matching pairs of hands
>>11908234wow hasbro found a way to reuse the comics in the worse way possible.
>>11908239Hey! Whoever wrapped those comics clearly wrapped each individual page too, they did an incredible job with how one should wrap a comic.
>>11908234You're such a sad shitposter
>>11908234No one is forcing you to buy it you whiney faggot. And complaining about others that do just makes it sound like you take black dicks up your ass.
>capcom>gamerversejust aother in a long collection of stupid daisy chain threads on the /toy/ board
>>11908234You don't even buy toys
>>11908276What the heck does "gamerverse" even mean besides "It's from vidya so we call it Gamer Universe slop"? Why did Marvel Legends need to change the name? Why did anyone ever pick a name as cringe as "gamerverse" in the first place? Truly the mind is puzzled.
>>11908239Holy shit that's comedy. Is there no limit for hasblo's cheapness
I'm so glad I'm not this autistic lmao. Must be exhausting.
>>11908043Hands and shoulders are a bit too small
>>11908341You really should go outside and touch grass
>>11908338Well I hope you find the help you need and have a very pleasant rest of the day. Whatcha gonna do about it?
>>11908331
Who will you be getting? I'm grabbing Smythe, I already have a good Carnage, and maybe MJ. I already got the first version of May with TAS Otto.
>>11908681I already have a superior Carnage, never gave much of a crap for Smythe and I don't buy civvies unless they're cool or sexy, so yet another wave I can skip. Every time I can skip a retro card wave I'm happy because that kind of dogshit packaging with should've been left to the 90s where it belonged. The normal ML boxes are easy to open while keeping them pristine while cards always take some effort and it's annoying.

>>11908706Imagine getting figures with 21st century engineering and articulation.
>>11908705The toybiz ball hips are making a comeback baby. Soon it'll be all the rage and people will call MLs outdated for just having thigh cuts instead of ball hips.
>>11908705>>11908706>>11908708What do these have to do with Marvel?
>>11908008Marvel General

>>11908721this is what happens when someone gets into the MCU after Endgame
>>11908721What is going on with Star Lord's head? That isn't the original head the figure came with lmao.
>>11908729thats the version from the love and thunder wave and it does actually look like that
>>11908708Me on my way to turn into black goo>>11908720Eh... there's an... alien... marvel... adaptation? maybe?
>>11908721>BACK OFF RED IM SUCKING THIS KIDS COCK!!!
I like him but when did the weapons get so gummy? Even the swords are like that. Also holy fuck he's hard to pose.
>>11908800chequed
>>11908800Domestic action figure engineering has not progressed in 20 years
>>11908810oh shit just found out he has foot tilts. So he can pose well now.
>>11908810You're right anon, we're still using ball hips and single jointed limbs, and no buttefly joints and just a ball neck with no hinge or anything. Why are you faggots so stupid?
>>11908813Except old figures did have double jointed limbs, butterfly joints and multiple points of neck articulation. Also for some reason you think hinges on the neck are superior to ball-pegs for necks? Current hips are not superior in articulation to ball hips--they just look better than ball hips.
>>11908829Actual delusion here if you think that Spidey looks and functions better than a modern figure. Feel free to enjoy your 20+ year old figure, but the rest of us will be living in the now.
>>11908837I said:>Domestic action figure engineering has not progressed in 20 yearsThere's a key word there: domestic. What you have a picture of is an import.
>>11908840My point still stands, pic related looks and functions much better than that 20 year old fig. That figure used to be my shelf Tobey until the various companies started making NWH figures. Personally I have the SHF.
>>11908829the only value older spiderman figs have is reselling them to buy better toys
>>11908842>much betterMarginally better at best.
>>11908851Move them goalposts some more anon. Sounds like articulation has improved, marginally or otherwise. Bitch.
How does everyone here store their parts for each figure? I throw out my boxes and try to just ziplock them but it's getting ridiculous when everything comes with like 4 weapons and 6 hands and sometimes extra heads.
>>11908857Right up the ol' anus.
>>11908866Mine is full
>>11908857I use plastic tackle boxes. Lately I've just been throwing everything from a wave into one of the compartments. it's just the easiest way to keep track of everything. For teams I do throw their accessories together, like all my Dark Avengers and Astonishing X-Men each have their own compartment with accessories from the various team members. I have a bunch of these boxes at this point but then I've been collecting for almost 15 years.
>>11908829No idea how good we had it
>>11908837>cant read but can spend $100 on importsYour the target demographic
>>11908882>yourReal funny for you of all people to accuse someone of being unable to read.
>>11908884Go back.
>>11908857
>>11908842I don't think it functions better. It doesn't even have articulated hands. Which >>11908829 does
>>11908946Articulated hands suck for literally everything from a fist to the thwips. Swappable hands that are molded for specific things are the better option imo.
>>11908008If Hasbro ever gets to giving Earth-1048 Wolverine the Marvel Legends, will it include a blue brap accessory?
What's one set/figure you refuse to get rid of? For me it's the Hela Skurge 2 pack. I still have it sealed. I've always had a crush on Blanchett
>>11908948>Having Hasbro choose for me what poses I can get my character's hands into is better
>>11909000I too wish my figures could do the SuFi
>>11909000Articulated fingers look awful on anything that isn't a robot, and even then it has to be done right.
>>11908721please kys
The 97 sentinel blast effect ports well on the apocalypse gun accessory
>>11908728It's why Marvel Legends is the normies playground.>>11908782Wrong pedos
>>11908948>imbeciles gonna imbecile
>niggas unironically want articulated fingersjust add more failure points to hasbro's already dogshit QC
>>11909125I've got the Sentinel, so good to know! Really hoping that a couple of people who ordered these end up cancelling so that I can pick him up myself, he looks so fucking cool.
>>11908951Yes, but it will be removed from all subsequent reissues.
>>11908705literally who>>11908721literally gay
>>11908946Articulated hands can be fun, but that's an 18" figure. Put them on a 6" Spider-Man and they would not work at all. On a Sentinel and other huge characters, especially robotic, sure.
>>11909248Exactly. For my two foot tall Sentinelm articulated hands are fine since you can add multiple points of articulation to each individual finger. You can't do that ona 6 in figure. Best you can do is put the fingers on a hinge at the knuckle and if you're really feeling generous you can the index finger it's own separate hinge. I know recent Transformers have been adding articulation to the fingers on like SS86 Optimus and Megatron, and they work alright, but you're still limited to the three fingers being a single hinge and the index finger being separate. And they only work since they're robots, the fingers themselves can look very robotic, which is fine for TFs, but wouldn't look good for human hands.
>>11908902Go forward.
So did any of the retro Spidey stuff sell out?
Lizard is $37
>>11909686why is it so hard to release the first version before putting another one out, typical mezco
>>11909699Because it’s all one run just with different materials
>>11909048This looks fine >>11908829
Arrived today. For movie version way better than his yellow suit
>>11909747
>>11909695Was back in the area where that Ross had the Medusa 2PK; not surprisingly, no sign of those 3 boxes. All they had were loads of Gamerverse Miles.
>>11909811Fucking sick. But I want a black version .
>>11909819I bet you do you fucking cuck
>>11909811Amazing skill being able to over engineer a fucking neck
>>11909811Theyr'e gonna make him as tall as Gamervers SHF cyclops aren't they?
>>11909836Yeah, I do. I said I did didn't I? Are you retarded?
a bunch of stuff from the big action alley display at walmart hit clearance so i got my first hulk figure in like 15 years. fun!
>>11909902just a ridiculous massmogging
>>11909836
>>11909811they are absolutely committed to using that awful hip and crotch design, despite using much better designs before and after these MvC figures, what the fuck is wrong with them
>>11908043pass...guess im sticking to my big fella forever.
>>11910002Which are those 2?

Working on getting a classic Avengers roster. What are my options for Scarlet Witch?
>>11910122Not many. >>Odin BAF Scarlet Witch isn't comic accurate but super fan service sexy as Wanda basically isn't wearing her tights, just her gloves, boots, and corset/cape. And has the best head sculpt. >>A proper Scarlet Witch was released twice. First in the hard to find Magneto/Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch three pack which is insanely expensive to get and then as a Retro card version, with a darker than normal color scheme for her costume.>>Finally, there is the Crossing 2-pack version, which has her DeDadota redesigned look she wore briefly during the Crossing/First Sign/Onslaught period.
I'm a massive Spider-Man the Animated Seriesfag and I still can't believe this. That ugly yellow blouse still holds some power I guess.
>>11910186its just scalpers buying this shit
>>11910186>>11910204It is actually kind of wild how weird you guys get about people you don't even know buying something you don't like or care for. Seriously, this is actual women behavior, cut it out.
>>11910214I'm not bothered at all by it. I preordered one too, I just wasn't expecting a civilian figure to sell out like that. All the better if it does though, I'd love to get an Ed Asner Jameson at some point.
>>11910186It's people who grew up with that look and absolutely have to have it, it's like breathing to them. Whoever put in the tv regulations that were removed by the 80s fcc where cartoons couldn't be toy commercials knew exactly what would happen. Perhaps they didn't even realize the full on brainwashing power these shows would have on kids, to the point of still buying toys over 30 years later. The people who removed those regulations damaged a lot of people.
>>11910226Honestly, you're more damaged for getting this weird about someone buying a toy from a cartoon they liked as a kid. Why are you even here?
>only some accounts can reply to this postWhat happened?
>>11910276They were forced to create new tooling.
>>11910276Cuts, probably some coworkers.
>>11910276Emily's (bottle-blonde pronoun-lover) position was eliminated, so she's out the door. Probably others as well.
>>11910286She's on a different team though
>>11910289It’s the whole company’s toy division
>>11910186you haven't realized they do this on purpose like hooded cobra commander.
>>11910289less people is more work for the ones left.
>>11910298this, hasbro loves pushing fake fomo hypebeast shit, this will probably go in stock again closer to release and take forever to sell out
Went out and grabbed a copy of ASM #1000 today. Yeah, the main story is pretty terrible, but some of the backup stories were actually genuinely great though so it was worth it imo. I haven't bought an actual comic in a while, I stopped buying years ago to focus more on toy collecting. Felt obligated to go out and grab a copy though since I have ASM #1.
>>11910276Hasbro cutting fan engagement posittions. You know the fanstream crew. Raising toy prices isn't giving them the revenue the share holders want so getting rid of lower tier employees will bump up their total income by 0.001% which is all they care about. I think the SW and Marvel team will be better than say the GI Joe and TF team though.
>>11910186Marvel legends sold out pre-orders are a meme It'll be in stock for months after.
>>11910380You're out of your mind, anon.
>>11910470Hey, I acknowledged that the main story is literal garbage. But I liked the stories by Hawley, DeMattis, and surprisingly Slott, were very good. Heck, I even liked the story Triple H wrote, it was surprisingly touching. I haven't regularly bought comics in like a decade, but like I said, I felt obligated to go out and grab such a big issue, I also have Action Comics and Detective Comics #1000 too. And at least I got one of the cool variants. The store only had like one or two copies of that terrible JRJR cover that they chose to be the standard one.
Got the new spiral 2 pack and I have to return it lol. Her nose is crooked with a red spot on it and silver paint flakes all over her arms.
>>11910606Amazon is offering me 12 bucks off if I keep it. What should I do?
>>11910610its not hard to remove paintbut it looks like the face print is misaligned maybe, i wouldnt keep it
>>11910614yeah looking at it everything is off center. Got the replacement coming and I'll see if that one is any better
>>11910610You can't exchange it?
>>11910622yeah though like my gladiator 2 pack if something is damaged like the box amazon will give you money instead of returning it and costing them money. Replacement comes monday.
>>11910625Will say though other than the face and other paint issues she looks great and Iron Man is fantastic looking.
>>11910625Ah, I always just end up having to return the figure to exchange it. Last few I've done anyway. >>11910627Yeah, I want to get the set, but I've got a ton of figures coming in this month so I've gotta hold off a little. I'm hoping it won't sell out right away and I'll be able to grab it at some point in the near future. Hasbro just about raped my wallet this month though with all the shit coming out.
Found a Sentinel two pack at a shop today, behind a stack of Cavillrines. One was sent out of the factory chipped :(
I've noticed a lot more QC issues lately.
>>11910662I'm not saying this to defend Hasbro, fuck 'em for the dumb shit they do, but if you really like them and don't want to return them, a chip like that can easily be seen as damage. It works ok since it's a robot. Even Iron Man suits or other robot figures from various lines blemishes matter much less to me since like I said, could be battle damage. It shouldn't be there though and if it bugs you enough I say return it.
>>11910662looks like some little taiwanese/korean kid chewed on it.
>>11910690I’ve noticed less but that probably because I haven’t bought a legends since gamerverse wolverine.
>>11910690>>11910703Chinese And if Hasblow's factory bosses gave them a proper lunch break, this wouldn't be happening
>>11910610They ALWAYS make me take shit back but there is literally a While Foods four long city blocks from me. They sent me the more expensive version of something, I still want the figure I purchased, they will give me a full refund but the figure I want is no longer on sale. But then I routinely return shit because I change my mind and especially because the price gets lowered on their own fucking site within the return window. IF they would just fucking price match, I wouldn't bother.
>>11910662If we're being real, that's pretty minor.
>>11910702I consider poor quality control to be an offense punishable by the death penalty. Luckily I got them for below half price on clearance.>>11910703That child should be whipped.
>>11910823>be happy paying for sub par goodsImagine being this cucked.
>>11910826Imagine not buying Blokees. I cant because I have many money and bought them all.
>>11910826At least he buys toys
>>11910662That's pretty shit, but at least it looks like it's on the back. Still bullshit and annoying, but unless you're doing a display with a bunch Sentinels shaking their asses in a line up, when are you ever going to see it?
>>11910871My plan was for a Sentinel on Sentinel ass rape display
>>11910875Well, then just have the one with the presumably unscarred back getting raped and no one will be able to tell. Problem solved.
