I didn't realize why and when Kenner released SO MANY Batmobiles. Why they do this?
>>11909899Rich men like owning lots of expensive cars.
>>11909899There were like six redecos of the batcave too
>>11909899The same reason they released so many Batman figures and Batcave playsets. They sold.
>>11909899If you look at the image, it's technically Hasbro that made most of those, not Kenner.Kenner was basically dissolved by 1999. They made a lot of unique Batmobiles, but they couldn't reuse the molds after the movie license ran its course and at the time they had little reason to renew the license after. When Hasbro got all of Kenner's assets, they were pretty lazy with the Batman line since there was no movie coming up and that's what made the most profits. They diverted a lot of teams from other lines to work on Star wars (which is why there's no real Batman Beyond line and most of it is made up of a cancelled Y2K Batman line)Hasbro didn't want to renew the DC license since they thought it wasn't worth it, so they just cranked out a bunch of redecoes of Kenner molds before losing it. This is why there's a ton of BTAS/TNBA exclusives in 2000-2003, it's them making use of all these molds before the end. the BTAS Batmobile was probably a huge mold one they wanted to make the most out of before disposing of. >>11909983similar reason why the Batcave got so much use. It was a big mold to make and they figured kids wouldn't care too much if it wasn't too accurate to any individual movie or cartoon. Probably broke even fast on that one.
>>11909899Because each new cartoon and movie brought a different version.
>>11909899Knight Camo is the best.
>>11909899>>11909983batwankers like to fap to everything bat
>>11909899I recently bought that stupid blue one full of bats for some reason. I just love insane Kenner repaints.
>>11909899>>11909983You better credit him for these images or he might cry about it in his next video.
>>11909983>>11910296Maximum Kenner will always be the time they repackaged an Ewok village as Robin Hood's forest hideout.
>>11910464Pretty much all of that robin Hood line reuses existing molds in some degree, it's actually pretty cool how clever they got. They did use a lot of softgoods to hide the extent of some of the reuse, but I just think it's funny to imagine some Kenner exec buying the license because they remembered they had a Robin Hood-based superhero mold in the archive. https://www.actionfigureinsider.com/kenners-robin-hood/
>>11910296I didn't know there was a Kenner 89 Batmobile before Batman Returns. I had pic related that had no roof. Also I didn't know the bat symbol decals went on the side, where I placed mine inside those side openings, which actually looked better.
>>11910555>Even has the Green Lanreen G beltReminds me of all the times Mattel reused New Adventure of Heman toys. I think Demolition Man was one.
>>11910461
>>11910585That's the Toybiz oneI think I actually saw this at a flea market as a kid but passed on it because I thought it was missing parts, didn't know it never even came with a canopy

>>11911056>>11910585I had this growing up. It came with a flimsy plastic cover that represents the shield that goes over the vehicle. The missles were made out of wood too. And when they hit they hit hard.
>>11911238wow, that's fucking rad. I had the Kenner one as a kid, which was more screen accurate, but I would have loved a flimsy plastic shield cover.
>>11910691>Demolition ManI got picrel because I thought it was Arnold Schwarzenegger. Turns out it was Denis Leary, kek.
