I just got this in today. The white on his gi just fucking vanished, presumably from my thumb being placed there while swapping the heads or something. Is this a common thing with this figure? I know QC in general hasn't been the best but this is just shitty materials. Even my old SROE Goku's paint is still pristine, 8 years later.

Using One Piece as an example, you literally could not find (good) articulated figures up until like a few years ago. Especially in the anime/manga space, if you wanted a collection...you sort of needed to stick to varying static figure lines if you wanted a collection that didn't look like dog shit. Even when Bandai started pivoting away from Sentai and Kamen Rider with Figuarts to properties like One Piece and DB...the fiigures looked like absolute dog shit (pic very related) more often than not. It really wasn't until the Ginyu/Saiyan Saga era of Figuarts DB where they started to hit their stride and the figures looked passable. If you already had tons of money invested in 1/6th statues or mini figures (like One Piece WCF) it sort of makes sense that you would opt to just continue to fill out your status collection, rather than starting fresh with articulated figures.
