Do all the clone troops and Stormtroopers have normal heads under their helmet? I always thought the helmet was the head but I watched some reviews for different figures and they all had a face under it. Pretty wild that all the stores don't advertise that at all.
They talk so fucking much it’s so boring. I like Brandon but he is overhyping the lamest things and they only have shitty unfinished prototypes. All that drum roll for the ghost 3 pack and Stormtrooper Kanan STILL doesn’t have ball hips
>>11912228Oh lol that was it for TVC. Explains all the stalling
Prototype, but already they fucked up and made Threepio's shoulders too wide
Guessing Tessek for the 6th slot. This wave is kinda lame…
>>11912261Yep. Well money saved today I guess. Still hoping for a new Bespin Luke and Boba
>>11912226It depends on the release. For both scales it can be different. In BS sometimes they'll have an unpainted head underneath that the helmet is glued onto. In TVC sometimes the helmet is a completely swappable head. Sometimes the helmet is the head for both.
Glad to finally get a normal looking IG-88
>>11912130>How much of your collection is yellow by now?I've got many TAC/Legacy clones that have yellow torsos but most aren't really as noticeable as some which have been left on card. And apparently the new Phase 1 four packs are already suffering from that same issue so at least they'll fit right in.
>still yapping Bro there’s is barely anything being shown, two TVC unfinished prototypes and one black series wave. I feel like they used to wrap these up way faster no one cares about all this autofellatio
>>11912293I don't get why it's going so long, it's not like they have a set runtime for these. Usually they just show what they need to show and are done in 20-30 minutes. This has been going for an hour now.
>ONE MORE THING>HERE IT IS THE BIG THING YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR>THIS IS WHAT YOU SAT THROUGH THE RAMBLING TO SEE>it's a stormtrooperI mean... nice, I guess?
>>11912296I thought they did have a set time and figured it was an hour which is why they were padding it out to fill time but since it seems they don’t now that they’re over an hour it’s so unnecessary. Even as someone that is interested in some of the BTS info, this is too much. Yeah we get it’s the 50th but there is nothing that remarkable or different from the norm here to be glazing so much. And okay they finally got to a new stormtrooper. Looks nice but the last one was perfect in my book so I don’t know if I feel the need to upgrade. I guess toe hinge is cool, I was wondering if they would use that again after Boba.
These ai slop "trailers" for the figures are so cringe lmao
What do you think of Blokees? Cause I saw the Grievous announcement and the teaser image looks awesome but I don’t own one to know what to expect
>>11912316I don’t really like them. They feel sturdier than true model kits but still a little bit flimsy and not as smooth to play with and pose. They also have a stylized design that’s not really 100% screen accurate. They are neat if you can find them for $15 in Walmart but I wouldn’t pay online prices plus shipping for them. Would rather just stick to black series for accuracy and more solid feel.I am curious about Grievous though. Need to see more pics but from what I saw he looked a little thick. Black series grievous has some issues and even the SHF isn't perfect and very expensive so this could be an okay alternative though scale could be a concern since they are a little bit smaller. I’m also interested in that clone wars Anakin proto and inevitable Obi-Wan because both black series CW Anakins suck so may just replace mine with blokees because I’m not sure if Hasbro will update anytime soon or if SHf will ever bring theirs out of proto hell
So who's falling for the new packaging?
dead franchise blud
>>11911645>but would not get ST troopers or TOR troopers for example because I have no attachment to them.So even if you think something is cool you won't buy it unless you like the source movie or show? That must save you a lot of money.
>>11912407>the stormtrooper is an exclusive lolhonestly at this point i think i'm going to just go back into primarily 3.75, black series has been pretty disappointing outside of the eu figures, along with the lack of accessories, cut down articulation, and increasing price despite those things maybe i'll snag the kotor figures if they make more, but as for regular figures i think i'm done
>>11912296>>11912308I'm guessing it's so they can get a lot of this out so they don't waste time on it during the NYCC panel
>>11912407Bro, you don't understand though. This is brand new and the height is adjustable. Beside, a a true Star Wars fans, you can't have just only one storm trooper. Waht are you, a fad collector tourist?
I think it's really funny that they talked about how the wave of BS covers the full spectrum of Star Wars but they were only were mentioning episodes 1 through 6. If the merchandisers don't even bother to bring up sequels anymore, as if they never happened in the first place, then Disney needs to take the hint to just drop them completely from the timeline and don't bother bring in Rey in to any future media.
>>11912407what's the problem? there will always be people wating to buy a stormtrooper. They would be dumb to not have some out constantly. If giving them a new card makes dumb-dumbs throw their old stuff away to buy the new one, even better.
>>11912464I already have like 6. If I see it in stores I'll grab it to add to my ranks, but I'm not going out of my way for it lol.
>>11912484everyone is fully aware of how toxic the sequels are, even disneyiirc the last time they were even tangibly referenced was in the bad batch with the force sensitive cloning shiti, however, would like a new rey or zori bliss for customs as the old figures are getting harder to find and pricier
>>11912407It's astonishing how far this line has fallen
>>11912497when was the peak? 2018 - 2022 seemed pretty decent to me but there are a few figures released after that were pretty decent
>>11912497>>11912505Hot take: this line has never been good at all. An absolute sea of mediocre figures coasting on the brand's waning popularity for over a decade.
>>11912505I know it can't work now cause of costs and shit, but during the Clone Wars and Movie Heroes time? That was awesome. It was just random new bullshit, and then FUCKLOADS of army builders and easy to get main characters and lockers fulla fucking weapons because fuck you, here's more blasters.
>>11912511i meant black series specifically, 3.75 has had a number of fantastic little eras that makes it difficult to definitively say which one was the best
>>11912508>An absolute sea of mediocre figures coasting on the brand's waning popularity for over a decade. What franchise toy line doesn't? go into the generals and ask around. 99% of toys suck.
>>11912508That's literally the state of all media and toys for the past decade. Hell even the MCU has had to bring back the FOX era X-Men and Spider-Man just to stay relevant. Video games are nothing but remakes and remasters because those are the only things that sell anymore since no one wants the original slop they try to push out.
>>11912492The new starfighter movie they're putting out is sequel era, Disney just isn't willing to take the hint. >>11912508Completely disagree, Black Series has a fair amount of great figures and in terms of detail, likeness and articulation those great figures blow earlier Star Wars figures out of the water. Every issue with the line is Hasbro making dumb cost-cutting decisions, not an inherent issue with the line itself.
>>11912552have they ever given an excuse for not having alternate heads or hands anymore? i feel like adding those would really boost the opinion of the line for some people
>>11912557No, I don't think they've ever explained what figures specifically merit alternate heads and hands. Young Dooku got an alternate head this year so you can have him beardless but then Anakin doesn't get a Sith head which is bullshit. The inconsistency in giving the motion blades is also aggravating, Kyle and Quinlan got them this year and then they just gave up.
>>11912562considering they debuted with dooku back in 2019 and you can count how many times they've been included since with one hand, it's clear their either don't give a shit or there was some other unknown reason they didn't add them ini've also heard a rumour that disney doesn't want the toys to depict heads/ limbs being severed which is why alt heads and hands are so scarce, but that would be nonsensical considering star wars has a history of that being shown in the films
Does this set got any known issues? I watched a few reviews but the few complaints doesn't really concern me. Like how it's bad to have a special character in an army builder set, I will only buy one anyway or how they are fiddley, from someone who admits to collect on card and barely ever handles toys. Biggest issue would be that I don't know up front if they will have black lines on the feet and helmets or not but that's not too important to me.
>>11912618The helmets on them are kind of ass since they are reusing the removable Andor version with the shitty looking visors and weird proportions. Honestly they will probably be putting out a new 212th soon with a non removable helmet like the 501'st troopers from Kenobi, so I would just wait on that unless you really need/want Waxer.
>>11912407I don't understand the adjustable height gimmick. You can't make the torso longer and it look correct. Your arms, legs, feet, hands, head, shoulders, waist, etc. all grow together so its proportional (in most cases). Were there people complaining about height variability? Maybe I am missing something here?
>>11912690It's not just the torso that adjusts, it's the biceps and thighs as well to keep things proportional. The whole idea is to just give the options to adjust things slightly so that it's more accurate to the films where they had people in various heights playing stormtroopers. I think it's a good idea. Gives a reason to buy a couple of more Stormtroopers even though I already have more than I really need. I like that these ones have added articulation too.
What were the black series reveals today
I'm very confused why BLACKEDfags are complaining and dooming over the reveal of one of the best figures I have ever seen in that shitty line
>>11912722spoonfeed me, i don't want to watch the livestream
>>11912722>one of the best figures I have ever seen in that shitty lineImagine having low standards like this
GALACTIC MARIIIIIINE
>>11912740>clonei mean it's cool i guess but is there anything else?
>>11912720
>>11912787not bad, ig88 still looks a bit short thoughnot a bad selection for the new era i guess, the quarren is a welcome surprise
>>11912740Actual garbage
>>11912740Wow actual fucking weathering, so you can do it after all Hasbro
>>11912851Present your points then. It looks fine to me but I've never been autistic when it comes to that unit.
>>11912804They have IG-88 sitting slightly low in the packaging, but here's how he compares side by side with the others
>three pack to complete the S1 Ghost crew>have to get Kanan in disguise to get the other two>Sabine and Ezra are "deluxe" so the price is inevitably going to be much higher than needed
>>11913012alright, that looks betteri wonder why they're doing another package change, although i guess the current one has been around for 6 years now
I agree that the amount of figures for the time spent on it was disappointing but honestly the figures revealed were pretty good all things considered, the standouts for me were AOTC Anakin (wow an alternate hand AND a swooshing blade, who would have thought) and the Galactic Marine and even Mr. Glup Shitto for ROTJ. Honestly my only only complaints are that ANH was represented by yet another pilot Luke and that something about the stormtrooper looks a bit off.
>>11913012Just for further reference, since IG-88 is using the new IG-11 body, here's how the new IG-11 compares to the old one which was based on the old IG-88 body
>>11913042>the figures revealed were pretty good all things consideredNo. No they were not.
>>11913046Can you explain or are you okay with vagueposting like a woman
>>11913046it's an odd assortment but 3 were redos who really needed it and 3 were new figures
>>11913049Sure, they sucked. And anyone thinking they were worth the time and "effort" put in to them is wrong. These people do not care about Star Wars and are not even trying with these releases.
>>11913078What figures were you hoping for?
>>11913078That's still a whole lot of vagueposting
>>11913037I honestly hate that Ezra is deluxe for no fucking reason. Are all newly tooled figures just going to be deluxe now? I really hope this isn't the only way to get that figure because I don't really give a shit about the other two. Especially Kanan. I already have his head on the Stormtrooper body and it works fine without any mods. They didn't need to tool a new torso for that nor include him in the set at all. I would have rather just seen Sabine and Ezra as separate releases, even if they had to be deluxe for "reasons". I'm worried how they're going to try and rip us off with the Barge and Cantina halo items now.
>>11913081And you're getting a whole lot of vague garbage from Star Wars.
>>11913090Two/three packs have become a scourge, I am genuinely sick of having to buy two figures when often enough I only want one.
>>11913097nta but i wouldn't even mind the two packs as much if it was two new figures in it instead of all of them having one new guy and the other just straight reuse it's less bad if the reuse is a generic, but when you're getting a rerelease of a named character + someone people actually want it's a problemmaybe the intent is for them to be for people just getting in to the line who missed out? but at that point i assume the financially smarter decision would just to put them in an archive wave to make them more accessible instead of limited run multipacks
>>11913040I'm kind of glad, I think the color coded packaging was a mistake. It worked when they did it for TSC back in 2006 because back then it was just six movies, EU and CW so they just had eight colors. It gave the packaging a little extra visual boost. When you now have so many movies, shows, games, etc. all requiring their own unique color they start to blur together and it defeats the purpose if three different properties are using three very similar shades of blue.
>>11912659so andor clones are the best one can get currently in vintage?
>>11913280Bleak, isn't it?
>>11913304I mean it's Hasbro + Disney, why would you expect nice things?
>>11913280He just said the Andor clones have shitty helmets. Plus they have an ugly off white color. If you want removable helmets with a head underneath then yeah that’s the only option for plain white phase 2 for now
talking about clones, when will we get the republic commando 4 pack?
>>11912740I want this do you guys think they are gonna sold out if Idont preorder? They always make enough troopers.
>>11913373It’s not exclusive so it shouldn’t be hard to get
>>11913012I've been waiting for that Padme my entire life
>>11913353Knowing Hasbro the pack will be Scorch and then three plain white commandos
>>11913453Go away
Got one of my 5 or 6 total republic commandos in. A really great looking figure.
Yaktard needs to give up on collecting bros i think hes lost the plot, simple difference in material finish is "yellowing" lol
>>11913665Why is there a difference? It's not too much to ask for to have a uniform plastic color or finish or whatever the issue is here.
>>11913665You can look at the promotional images for yourself (plus any phase 1 clone render) to see that it's not supposed to look like that, retard anon, so whether it's yellowed or they fucked up and made part of the armor cream instead of the proper white, people have a right to complain.
>>11913665No, that is definitely yellowing
>>11913665>Please daddy Disney rape me harder
the night troopers look really cool.
>>11913665It's a legitimate issue, Anon. Bossk's Bounty pointed this out in his review for the set a few weeks ago. Other people are complaining about it in their sets as well. It's not material difference because other recent clones or stormtroopers haven't had it.
>>11913665any clones that don't have that issue yet?
>>11912316Really fucking stupid spelling. That is the extent of my opinion on it.
why is no one here posting their toys? Do you all collect on card or do you don't own toys?
>>11912316Blokees are shit and I'm tired of all the weird assholes that are trying to make them a "thing" on this board.
>>11913977It can be and is 99.9% more likely material. Plastic is not some magical substance that squirts out of an endless supply of the same colors every time forever. Every single batch of toys has it's own new batch of plastic made for it. The chemical process and additives are made with a formula that if its mix is just just slightly off can result in differences in color. It's likely the abdomen is made with a different type of plastic or was made in a separate batch. So it's not yellowing, but it is a fuckup. Yellowing needs a lot of time and light to happen.
>>11914097why bother? it'll just get ignored or you'll get some insane weirdo screeching at you
>>11912316Never bought them before but I'm definitely getting their TCW kits
>>11914217I was interested in TCW Anakin until I realized it's for the smaller even more stylized scale which I'm not sure even comes to the US? Also why is the droideka so hueg? Maybe it's champion class but seems too big even for that
>>11914220>until I realized it's for the smaller even more stylized scaleWait actually is it? I am assuming everything in this pic is the small blind box line but maybe I'm wrong. God their scales are so confusing
>>11914220>>11914224I have no idea what scale it is because their naming always confuses the fuck out of me. I'm buying them either way though. Since it will be its own display, I'm not worried if it fits in with anything or not.
>>11914097Because everyone cusses you out for posting toys, or follows you from thread to thread if they recognize your pictures or background, or they shit on everything you like, or shit on you for posting pics of toys in general. This board is a Hell hole.
>>11914242I post pics and that has never happened to me. Maybe that only happens to posters that are annoying in some way... I mostly get ignored.
>>11914097I'm not a dancing monkey pal!
>>11914272still a nice picture pal.
How much does the old hip limit this figure? On paper it's a huge limiter but how much does it matter in play?
>>11914097Because this hellsite makes you do 400 trillion annoying craptchas just to post so I just read and dont bother sharing
>>11914306That looks cool, did you ever thought about having it hang from your ceiling, like some do with their model airplanes?>400 trillion annoying craptchasOnce Captcha per post is breaking your spirit?
Anyone get the thermal detonator? Is it any good?
>>11914315I do have the X-Wing hanging from the ceiling but I think the gunship is a little too heavy for me to be comfortable leaving it up there for long. At one point I had the haslab rattler hanging down but its Definitely way to heavy to leave up so I brought it downAlso now that I verified my email the captchas are so bad...
>>11914344I meant to write "arent so bad" lol dramatic as hell lol
>>11914306Fuckin awesome anon, mine still hasn't shipped. I hope they make a new green sergeant clone. With a jetpack like in battlefront would be even better
>>11914306Nice Anon. I haven't filled mine with clones yet, waiting for the 4packs to arrive before I do that. The ship itself is amazing though. BoG has been a really fun theme. I just got my Geonosians the other day and they are a lot of fun even if it's kind of annoying to get them to hold their sonic blasters. Wish I would have bought another set before they sold out.
>>11914394Yeah i wish theyd do some classic battlefront based figures like that legacy collection set. Thatd be really cool
>>11914097I only have these and have posted them weeks ago. I put them in a position I could always watch when I go use my computer, easily take them off the shelf, change post and put them back as needed.[spoiler]I bought a Starkiller but didn’t open it yet, intended to gift to my brother in his birthday
>>11914217I’m eyeing that Jango Fett man. I love his armor so much
>>11912618biggest issue is that you can see their chins under the helmets.
>>11914341Yeah, fits in the anus really nicely.
>>11914279Not at all. Like 90% of all SW figures in existence have these hips. He can stand, he can sit, he can walk and he can run. He can be placed on almost any speeder bike or in almost any vehicle. Really the only thing he can't do is ride wide legged, so no putting him on a dewback or other similar creatures. And obviously no kung fu wide legged superhero hand to hand combat stances, but who fucking cares.
My gunship still hasn't even shipped. My cantina took a lot longer to receive than everyone else's too. Fuck my chungus life.
>>11914829Agreed. Are swivel hips perfect? Obviously not, ball jointed hips are definitely superior theres not really any debating it. But after having played with the antenna mold clone alot over these last few months I really dont think swivel hips are that bad. Especially for a fan base whos primary mode of display is standing straight up and down in a cabinet somewhere kek
>>11915097There's very few characters in Star Wars that require ball jointed hips, it's superhero figures where not having them is usually unacceptable. Really the problem is when you let Hasbro cheap out in one area they'll cheap out in others.
Hell yeah. Ya'll ready for $30 deluxe in TVC next year?
>>11915138some places are selling standard figures for $27 already in leafistani went down to the states over the weekend to check if they had the anakin/ cody two packthey did, but the exchange would round out at $60 leafs which is fucking nonsensical
Are mandalorians still cool or did disney kill them too? Also old republic mandalorians when?
>Amazon delayed my commando indefinitelyI’m not getting it am I? Seems like this has been happening with a lot of Hasbro orders on Amazon. My Lara Croft got the same thing. Maybe a container fell off the boat>>11915174If you just ignore Disney and focus on EU they can still be cool>>11914279Can’t speak to this figure specifically but I actually don’t mind old figures with swivel hips. Somehow they feel a lot more solid and less likely to break than newer ones.
>>11915176I have 5 for sale.
>>11915138Fuck yeah I am! I hope they keep cutting paint apps and doing the wrong versions of things too! WOOOOO! Who says Star Wars is dead????
>>11915099Yeah definitely agree, id say acrobatic characters like jedi and sith are improved by them, troopers are 50/50 and depends largely on taste i think, everyone else is served just fine by pivot hips. Heres a couple of figs that are just fine as is with pivot hips imo.
You guys are nuts. Swivel hips should have been phased out 15 years ago in this scale. I was always pissed that I could buy G.I. Joes with full range of motion but never had a fucking Jedi that could pull off the same poses. I took it as an insult that they call TVC the definitive line for 3.75 but then would reissue figures with swivel hips while still charging $15+ for it. EVERY figure should have dumbbell hips and rocker ankles no matter who they are if they have the anatomy for it. Just because you don't see a character being acrobatic on screen doesn't mean their figure should be limited to effectively just standing and sitting.
>>11915259Of course swivel hips are outdated and shouldn’t be used for new stuff, I am just saying they would not prevent me from picking up an old figure if I thought the rest of it looked cool.
>>11915259Even for characters that just stand around ball jointed hips and ankle rockers make a big difference with ease of posing and poses looking more natural, especially if they're sitting on an uneven surface.Still, a lot of old figures are pretty cool even with the limited articulation schemes.
>>11912787Amidala, Marine and Tessek are insta buys. IG-88 is understandable, considering how bad the original is but did these versions of Anakin and Luke really need to be remade? The old figures hold up fairly well imo. I suppose they did a new EP2 Ani to go with the EP3 one. I'm thinking we'll get a remade EP2 Obi Wan too. Anyway, if they're going to do a new Ani, I would be far more interested if they released a Deluxe Anakin with Swoop Bike? Would love to have more vehicles. I will probably skip the Luke. Really want more obscure OT characters. Give me Garendin.
>>11915334The original EP2 Anakin's articulation is extremely bad and is probably one of the figures most requested to get an update, a new version on the new EP3 body is very welcome. Unfortunately it does seem like they fucked up AGAIN and included his second lightsaber rather than his Vader-like first lightsaber.
I finally got Dash!
hey hasbro, if you want easy tvc filler why not re-release lumat?
>>11915334i think the reason for the pilot luke remake is because that's one of the og bodies in the line that's still the only version of some characters granted i think that one was still pretty decent, but i get the mentality ep2 anakin was on the og ep3 anakin body with a new right arm that looked far too crisp compared to the rest of the figure, and couldn't pull off the one good pose the og rots anakin could due to not having the right head/ colours
>>11915334>did these versions of Anakin and Luke really need to be remade?Wasn’t Luke the very first black series figure or at least in the first wave? Makes sense to redo him to go with all the other redos of main characters they’ve been doing. And the old ep2 Anakin was an epic fail because they forgot to give him the fabric skirt so he looks ridiculous. It’s not like they wasted much tooling budget on them though, Anakin is just a new head on the ep3 body and I think I read that Luke reuses a lot of the Sigourney Weaver pilot but I haven’t compared the two.
Ah, just what the line needs. Another annual price increase. Thank you Mr. Cocks!
Help me anons you're my only hope.Anyone got tvc reva and dark trooper armour gideon? I'm curious if the helmet is even semi proportional to the reva body (I doubt it, sadly) and if the balljoint is too far off (also doubtful)The end goal is to hopefully make a semi decent inquisitor/sith imperial thingy.
>>11915668isnt too far off*
I had my fun with Mandalorian but frankly Maul is the only series in years that made me feel like I was watching Star Wars again. They clearly don’t know what they are doing with Mandalorian anymore, they lack the spark to make whatever they are doing with Ahsoka keep me interested.I’m basically only invested in Shadow Lord and Jedi Survivor. And even those are smoldering flames
>>11915259In theory your stuff makes sense but almost every modern figure I've bought in the past like 3 or 4 years (and I didn't buy any since 2014 before that) has a bitch of a time standing. They feel like they're made with very little actual prototyping refinement into how the figures will function in real life. Older figures generally did the things they were supposed to do- they held their weapons and accessories well, they could stand easily, etc. My comic pack thrawn and potf2 Thrawn both stand easily and his ysalmari clips nicely onto his neck. My Dark Empire 3 Pack Thrawn, despite all of his articulation, can barely stand and the ysalamari falls off his neck if you breath on it, let alone pick up the figure.
>>11915666>whyisthedevilinstarwars.jpegBlokees are the future.
>>11915692That sounds like a skill issue. I have figures posed all over my desk in various ways and don't have any issues getting them to stand. Even balancing on one foot is something most of these figures do with ease.
>>11915699Nah, I *can* get them to stand, it's just a pain in the ass and they will fall far more easily than most older figures. Many other lines do not have this issue(like acid rain for another modern 1/18 example). They are poorly engineered and it is most certainly a lack of proper prototype refinement, they're just 3D sculpting and 3D printing these things, maybe checking joint clearances and that's about it.
>>11915666Lots of places already charged 30 by default but fucking thanks Hasbro, what a way to hype me up for the anniversary.
>>11915446A shit rendition. Hoping they give him his actual EU look for the headsculpt when they do the retro card release. Dash should be more rugged rahter than Jamie Lanister.
When does ig88 go up and is he exclusive?
>>11915833The 15th and no, whole wave is a regular release. The new Stormtrooper is exclusive to Target/Walmart though. Although, and I wasn't 100% clear on this, that may only be the alternate card back, the regular one might be a regular release, I'm not 100% sure.
>>11915862The Kenner variant is exclusive to Pulse, Disney stores and Walmart but the figure itself is a regular releasae.
>>11915686the sad thing is that maul has all the same problems as filoni's other shows, it's just that they managed to competently make maul and devon somewhat compelling this time so people are more willing to look past that you could cut out half the show and miss nothing
>>11915912Fair enough. I do feel something somewhat lacking though not like I can out my finger
Am I the only faggot who finds new Clone Commando helmets weird looking? I've tried to garner reactions from the web, and it doesn't seem like there are any noticeable discussions about it. Am I crazy? Do I need to fix my eyesight (and brain)? It's almost universal rave.Visor shape is weird, eye lens looks too "demure", if you get what I'm saying, almost convex.Lower mouth grille is too thin and basically looks like straight chevron, instead of having some snarl to it at apex.Top part of helmet also juts out too much at top and sides, it almost creates a diaper like shape.
the new marrok looks good in hand. got mine from amazon today
>>11915957yea why is the top of the visor an indent and not a flat surface
>>11915668Hold on anon you might be cooking here... the peg from revas head fits perfectly into the socket of the helmet
>>11914103
>>11916014Is this supposed to mean something? Those look as shit as they said. What kind of retard settles for this crap?
>>11916094For the price he should be able to actually pose
>>11914103Blokees are fine as a neat little experiment, the Blokees Clone trooper is the only one id say can sand as an equal to higher quality toys. Otherwise they cant match in quality to a more more "premium" figure, premium doing an INSANE amount of work here regarding a hasbro toy, but the reality is Hasbro feels premium compared to a blokees figure. Also its been proven at this point blokees has been doing some insanely aggressive astroturfing online in the collector communities which is unfortunate cause theres so much fake positivity for the whole brand, not to mention that the stuff is absolutely busting the doors off of every local comic/hobby/toy store all over, the distribution for these little blind box figs is insane and really puts hasbro to shame
>>11916148They look like a kiddie version of a Figuarts. I haven’t gotten any so far myself, but given that they’re catching up to most other toy lines extremely quickly, I’ll likely get some eventually. I have noticed that a lot of content creators get sent the new figures the DAY OF release, or sooner, to butter them up get reviews out immediately. It’s just the typical Chinese method of doing business where they zerg rush a million cheap products into the market undercutting prices of competitors because they each get paid like 1/16 of what an American would for the same job.
>>11916005Well shit, thanks anon. Time to pick them both up for cheap on prime day sales. I'll be sure to take some photos of em with stormies when I get it done and post here. Did you have to heat and pop or did a bit of force do the job?
>>11916148Nice comparison there. The only blokees I have are these Megaman ones so I had no idea how they scaled up to other Star Wars stuffThe Starforce one is fine but Zero has weird loose butterfly joints on his shoulder making me question them. The Star Wars ones I have seen at aliexpress were hit or miss. Some looking fine, others having weird joints from the images presented. That Annakin though looks pretty good
>>11916148I don't have any yet, but it seems to depend a lot on the character design. The difference in quality is there, but there are fortunate examples like the recently announced Batman and Catwoman especially that have been making the rounds where the shortcomings are not noticeable. I presume that troopers are good candidates for fortunate Blokees if they work on the proportions.
>>11915957They did fuck up the helmet but the arms are way worse>>11916181>They look like a kiddie version of a FiguartsYeah and a lot of Figuarts Star Wars don’t look good and aren’t accurate
80 fucking dollars for the TVC Rebels 3 pack. That is in-fucking-sane. I only want Ezra so I'm just holding off until they put him out on a single card
Found the gar saxon black series wave at walmart, didn't like the look of any of them so skipped.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR FAAAACE
>>11916550>>11916603It’s over
>>11916603Why the long face?
How do you differentiate between "I want that toy" and "it's interesting but I only care because it's rare/ cheap"?
>>11916612Only you can answer that for yourself. Speaking for myself, I'm starting realize that I shouldn't bother with toys of anything I don't have a real emotional attachment to. I just cancelled my preorder for Lord Starkiller despite BBTS finally getting him in stock because, even though it's very cool design, I just don't care enough about the games to really get anything from looking at him on my shelf. Also, $42.99 just feels like a lot for what's there.
>>11916612do you have plans to do anything with it? if so then you want it if you don't know what to do with it then you probably just want it for the sake of it one advantage to wanting a cheap thing is if you plan on doing customs though, as it's far more palatable to potentially ruin a toy that was cheap than one that was full price
>>11916603They said they referenced the actor when he was younger but I don't see it at all. Pic related is him at pretty much the same age as that Ezra. It just looks like they took the BS sculpt and shrunk it down. Maybe the actual production figure will be different? It wouldn't be the first time they've changed the head between promo pics of prototypes and release.
>>11916623lexi wtf?
>>11916624Fucking kek, I didn't even notice. Women get away with anything.
>>11912739He called it Blacked and said you were a fag. At no time did he imply it the line was good.
>>11916550How deep is your love (wallet) for Slop Wars?
>>11916369Heating it up would probably help but I dont think its required modern TVC figs are soft enough
The guy who wanted the clone commandos I got my other 4 in. If you still want one email me. If not they're going on ebay.
>>11916408The blokees storm trooper is not worth it period, its way to small to even be passable as a little too short for a Storm trooper. The clone on the ither hand, while Definitely a little small, is way easier to fudge in as a match with black series or other 1/12 clones
>>11916783i decided since i'm just going to end up buying delta squad whenever they get made i'll pass on the normal one, no need to wait on me before putting them up. thanks for the offer though man.
>>11916710Pretty deep Anon, but not $80 for a 3 pack that has a more reuse than the Cantina 4 pack I bought for $5 less kind of deep.
How are the chances for tvc getting a figure with mandalorian crusader armor?
>>11916785no prob. Hope that pack comes out soon for ya!
>>11916788Probably close to zero considering we've yet to get any of the video game stuff that BS has been getting the last couple of years. And the only other EU stuff we've had has all been HTTE related.
>>11916623They say bullshit all the time, it’s clearly just the black series shrunken down and when the black series was made, the actor wasn’t cast, they just made up their own sort of realistic interpretation of the character.>>11916784I’m not trying to hate too much but every time I see comparisons like this, I don’t see why anyone would choose blokees over black series if they could only have one. Left looks like an actual person in an armor suit, right, doesn’t look bad for a toy, but looks like some cartoony fortnite thing and has jarring joints and gaps. But maybe not everyone is an accuracy/realism fag like me I know there are people that want clone wars animation style sculpts to come back like the old 3.75" line
>>11916850I think blokees biggest advantage is price difference, this clone is 15 bucks at walmart and is quickly restocked, I Definitely agree the blokees fig looks more toyetic and mecha like and the hand sculpts are reeaaally bad but I think for half the price of a hard to find black series figure, for alot of people, kids especially, blokees is whipping hasbro badly
>>11916920Someday 4chan will stop turning my pics but heres the weapon holding hand as an example of how bad the hand sculpts are.
>>11916927I think the clones are a decent stand in figure but theres no replacement for a properly styled human character. Totally ignoring the rotten head and handsculpts. The outfit texture and sculpted clothing detail puts of the hasbro fig reminds you pretty clearly that the blokees kit is a cheap plastic model from a cheap Chinese company lol
>>11916939I love your comparisons dude. Help a lot for me to choose by the way
Hey swapper anon, any chance you have some shriek hawks and the forge helmets? I tried swapping em out and ended up a bit disheartened by the results. They fit, but loosely, and I never did try swapping the pegs (helmet hole seemed too shallow) or using wood varnish for a friction layer.
It's really sad to see how bad Star Wars has gotten. Especially when you go to stores and the SW section is just...ass.
>>11916920Yeah for $15 at Walmart they're a neat pick up and good value but if you can’t find them in store and have to get it online then it’s about the same price so then I think not really worth it
I was thinking about buying a set, see it's sold super cheap on amazon as "as good as new". Decide zo sleep on it for a night. If it's sold out it's sold out and if not I buy it. Now the worst possible thing happend, instead of it being sold out they increased the price.
>>11917140I do not have those exact figs but do you happen to know what figs they're recolored/reused from i might be able to test it that way.
>>11917140So I do have the heavy mando, and it has a really tiny little ball lol, using the stuff I have the best I could find was the peg from the deathwatch/jango figure, it sits just a little too high maybe but its nice and snug
>>11917229This keeps happening to me with several items. It's really annoying but if you just hold out and watch it, it'll go back down to the original price eventually.
>>11917230Unsure, I think they're a whole bunch of retools slapped together (quite well, in fairness) but the torso and shoulder plate region of that deathwatch looks about right for the one I tried the green helmet on (itself din djarin recolour I believe) and you have the heavy trooper already sorted. As for the guy I have the heavy mando helmet on, at this moment I have no clue what his torso is without consulting a guide or pulling all my figs out, which I was gonna do at the weekend.>>11917233Interesting, I'll pull the ball from one of the hawk donors then and see if it fits, or take photos at the very least. The green helmet is gonna be a pain though, super shallow ballhole in the helmet itself and quite small from what I recall, and all of the hawks seem to have mando side-character tooling, but no dins (unless the red chest guy is a din, unsure, maybe axe woves?)Either way, I appreciate the help and hopefully we can figure out a workable solution that makes for slightly changed up army builders. On the subject though, have you got the night trooper set? I'm curious if enoch can be de-enoch'd. Was thinking of maybe swapping his helmet for a damaged stormie one from the fett deluxe, which surely works, but I wonder if his kama can be slipped off without damage.
Why would they sell Jango Fett as a deluxe figure if he comes with less stuff than the normal release? That's just a bad look. Wouldn't be as bad if it had just been a normal re-release.
>>11917491I do not have any of the night troopers friend, so I am unable to test it for you. Im not sure where the red torso comes from, kinda looks like death trooper or imperial tank driver torso but im not sure, the you could always cut or Dremel the socket on the smaller helmet or mod the joint itself and glue it in place on the helmet
>>11917552short term gain over long term investment most 'deluxe' figures come with shit that should be in the standard release as you said, it's a bad look especially with characters that had normal releases for years until they came up with the deluxe idea to charge extrathey should really be only for actual big characters like jabba/ rotta, and not for standard figures with accessories or are slightly bigger than average
>>11917589"Deluxe" in 2026 just means it gets the paint apps the mainline figs of 10 years ago get... most TVC figs now are totally unpainted except the face and the lightsaber if it comes with one
>>11917616i remember way back when rots gree came out back in 2018(?) and people were upset he was $5ish more because of all the paint he hadhow times change
My Maul has arrived. Though the rubber robe is too restrictive. Guess there is a reason he takes off to fight
>>11917833Any reason you didn’t go for the new one?
Seeing more reports of discoloration on the TVC 4 pack clones. Yeah I think I’m not going to take the chance on it, it’s not that cheap either. Might see if the previous removable helmet ones are still around and not too expensive. Yeah their helmets kinda sucked but the new non removable ones don’t seem like that much of an improvement anyway desu
>>11917491Enoch can only be de-Enoch'd so far. The way that figure is designed, it has a bit of a notch in the waist to accommodate the belt piece. He also doesn't have armor on his crotch like the normal Stormtroopers do, so it it looks like he's wearing red panties. If you removed his kama, you would need something to fill in all that space with. Also the kama comes off real easily. Just boil and pop the top torso piece and the kama can be slipped over the rest of the torso. It's not held in place with glue or anything.
picked up an elsbeth and tros rey for customs for cheap and manhasbro really did sell an old lady with jack shit as a full priced action figure, huh?this is especially jarring compared to rey who has a lightsaber, staff, small droid, and a gunboth of these are standard figures
>>11918031I like the coat
>>11917833>those shoesreal school shooter core
>>11918290Morgan Elsbeth coming with nothing is a massive omission. She 100% should have come with the sword of Talzin like in the show, but I guess Hasbro was just going off concept art like usual. I’ve seen people 3D print one for her. The one that actually comes with mother Talzin is ironically a different design. Although you can fudge it into being used by Elsbeth if you’re not that particular. It is supposed to be her sword anyway.
>>11918877Didn't the figure come out before the Ahsoka show? She should've at least had the beskar spear though.
>>11918964She was released a couple of months after the show premiered. The problem is Disney always being gay about spoilers so Hasbro likely didn't even know about her sword. They didn't seem to know about the star map either because she should have come with that at the very least if they didn't want to spoil stuff from the last episode. And now we're heading into the second season right around the corner and past the time where it would have made some sense to rerelease her in some form that had her Nightsister face paint on and comes packed with the sword. Would have been neat to get her and maybe the zombie Deathtroopers in a 3 pack or something to go with the Night Trooper set.
>>11918877hasbro going entirely off of concept art isn't entirely their fault, i know lego was forced to do the same when the sequels were airing because disney was scared of spoilers or something and people complained that the sets were inaccurate/ never appeared in the films
>>11918290>>11918877>>11919015Does it really matter though? Sometimes figures are just lame and boring. Were you really dying to add a Morgan Elsbeth to your collection? With figures/characters like these I just don't care enough to be disappointed but maybe that's just me.
>>11919110when the figures are $11 it hardly matter who they are and what they come with when they're approaching $30 of course i'll be more critical
I just realized that I mostly collected helmeted dudes, I rarely get characters with faces, it's mostly limited to iconic dudes like Obi Wan and Anakin, or rare exceptions like Rebel Hoth trooper
It's finally fucking here.
>>11919110The figure in your pic came from an era where there were so many toys coming that it was perfectly acceptable to get some more "boring" ones in the mix because we knew that in addition to this dialog free middle aged woman with 2 seconds of screentime we were also getting every trooper under the sun and every alien that walked past the camera for 2 seconds. Now almost every disney movie or show is crammed full of main and side characters that look exactly like this boring middle aged woman, and figures wise they don't make even a fourth of what they used to. We barely get anything that's a background character, and every main character is boring. Fucking depressing state.
>>11919190there was an attempt when tfa came out, but those toys shelfwarmed like nobody's business granted even the main characters were clogging the pegs so i don't know how much of that was just overstock or just lack of interest, which would be strange because iirc tfa was considered 'fine' back in 2015/16
>>11919200Per Hasbro TFA stuff did well enough, but they probably overshot production. It wasn't as egregious as TPM's, though. That said even in 2015 it was obvious the toy industry was not what it once was. In general a lot of Hasbro's decisions since TVC and TBS are a product of the industry as a whole as much as Star Wars's status as an IP.
>>11919200Frankly I only liked Kylo Ren’s design from the New Trilogy. I don’t think I could care for anyone else.Last I checked they were all on the cheaper side
>>11919205>TFA stuff did well enoughblatant lies
>>11919114>>11919190I guess both points are fair. Personally in this era of limited slots I would prefer they just don't waste tooling budget on boring characters like that but I am kinda biased against disney stuff
>>11919345Eh, I can see it. There was a lot of hype around the time of TFAs release like 'Star Wars is back!' so I can see the toys getting a boost from that. Disney didn't completely shit the bed until TLJ.
>checking Luke Skywalker figures>the one made for the Cruiser back in Mandalorian S1>the one ''Jedi Academy'' in Book of Boba Fett>feel myself dying a little seeing how they handled him insteadWhat's wrong with those fucks? They knew what we wanted when they put him there in Mandalorian. They know what they have to do to bring Star Wars back. Why do they fucking refuse?
>>11919520shareholders if disney admits the sequels were failures and outright retcon them they'll sue because they lost money on their investments so disney has to suck it up and deal with it, and if that means endless slop with mando and yeed then so be it with filoni endlessly dangling tcw memberberries then so be it
>>11919200The attempt was bullshit. A ton of it was black series garbage for faggots and a ton of it was 5 POA but modern sculpt shit no one asked for. Wasn't this when the actual 1/18 line got relegated to barely anything as like walmart exclusives or some nonsense? And even then including 5 poa shit there werent that many background characters released. Plus 90% of Disney shit was brown poop outfits with diversity humans wearing them. Even the aliens look like generic shit. Genuinely theres like 6 good designs in TFA, 2 of them got toys and both of them were 5 POA shit.
>>11920071i thought tbs had a dedicated 3.75 line at the time that was effectively the successor to the og tvc run, and the 1/12 line was still in it's rough early phase until 2018ish
>>11920189>i thought tbs had a dedicated 3.75 line at the timeDoesn't matter to them because 1/18 collectors are very entitled and mentally ill
>>11920189>i thought tbs had a dedicated 3.75 line at the time that was effectively the successor to the og tvc runHe already mentioned it. It was when the "1/18 line got relegated to barely anything as like walmart exclusives." People didn't just want TVC revived for the cards, but because they wanted a broader revived interest in 3.75" figures. We eventually got it.
i get that they're ultimately unfeasible, but i do wish we got more 1:12 vehicles/ creatures, even if it's just the smaller ones although they did do an at rt recently, right? maybe they're willing to do more stuff like that
>>11920370They said they don't sell that well but I feel like something like a BARC speeder would be fine. Also with TVC vehicles now being about the same price or more, maybe they will lean in to 1/12 vehicles too. Both cost Hasbro about the same to make so at around the same price I think more people will start going for the bigger one.
>>11920387A speederbike would cost $80 now
