During the NYCC, this new company showed up. People online are speculating that it's a shell company for NECA to get access to both Disney and WB at the same time, but I find these claims sourceless.what you guys think
it seem they have access to some horror IP that coincidentally overlaps with NECA
>>11921781Its a new company/brand under NECA named after a long-defunct Japanese brand that originally made Macross. If you go to the website, NECA is mentioned several times in the legal sections. When Diamond Select went under, NECA did buy up a significant portion of what was up for grabs so its possible that this is a result of that purchase.
>>11921789Dropped my image but yeah, its owned by Ad Populum who owns NECA. They're all lumped into the same address under the Privacy Policy section of the Takatoku website
>>11921791>>11921789so more neca slop? i really wanted a jada to get looney tunes
>>11921781>Neca
>>11921810Get a life
>>11921807Jada sucks anyway. They struggle to get anything released.
>>11921789Welp there goes my hope for good articulation, if neca is involved it’ll be shit.
>>11921849Nah, the articulation on NECA figures has been great for a long time now.
>>11921815Jada Streetfighter is the best toyline of the decade
>>11921855No
>>11921860price/quality they are pretty good, the only dud is akuma, the first wave aged a lot since they improved a lot
At least they can make a few accurate products.
>>11921864How tf is Akuma a dud? If you said one of the earlier ones like Ryu or Ken, sure I could see that, but Akuma?
>>11921946Maybe he's not a fan of how they did his necklace thing.
>>11921943It's really pathetic that you even wasted your time doing something this stupid.
>>11921946Akuma's face is awful, one of the worst in the line.
>>11921943Kek
>>11921943Retard
>>11921781There's only one Looney Tunes figure I'd buy.
>>11921943lmaooo
>>11921946hes just underwhelming, unlikebalrog whos probably their best figure they ever done with crazy good shoulder articulation with the same price
>>11921943kek
really gay naming your company after. a legendary Japanese toy company when it's probably all round eyes and the toys won't be as cutting edge as the real Takatoku was 44 years ago.
>>11922129It’s a pretty weird choice. I wonder if the name may just be in a grey area where it’s legal to use because no one owns it anymore, or if someone who worked there decided they own the name and licensed it out. The real company sold off all its assets during bankruptcy but no one bought the name itself because they didn’t want the debt associated.
>>11921946Everyone was praising early figures in the line to high heavens. I tell ya what, I'm starting to think toy people all have this mentality of when a line is new they just salivate and are brainwashed by it and sing its praises. Then a few years later talk about how shit the early figures in the line were. It's bizarre. If it was good then its good now. If it was bad then it's bad now.
>>11922129Gayer still are those hideous Mazinger Z figures they've showcased being some of the most affordable options in decades. Absolute waste of the IP.
>>11922135If I had to guess they just wanted dibs on the name for nerd cred brand recognition and the fact that it was availible. Alot of these guys were fighting over the trademarks to retarded shit like "battle beasts" and "inhumanoids" a few years back.
Wonder how the company is going to do Roadrunner given he doesn’t really have arms and how thin he is.
>>11922183the SF line started 2024 and the previous figure looked like something Mcfarlane crap, in 3 years we got a full roaster of characters with improvements each figuresthey stand out with the rest of the line, not because they are bad
>>11922209That Wolfman doesn't look like McFarlane in any way other than pins. The style of knee cut even specifically looks like Jada. You wanna see a McFarlane knee, bro? THIS is a McFarlane knee.
>>11922269why do all mcfarlane figures have such fucking long legs
