Hi guys, I'm new to S7, but surprised there is no gen so creating one to discuss some of the lines.TMNT ULTIMATES!THUNDERCATS ULTIMATES! & DXTRANSFORMERS DXINVINCIBLE DXGI JOE REACTIONMICRONAUTS REACTIONSEASAME STREET REACTIONIf anyone has a full list of 2026/2027 solicitations please post. I am going to add things I've seen.
>>11934443I honestly thought Ultimates ThunderCats was dead. Pleased to see they are finally updating the sculpts they inherited from Mattel. Also can't believe they are doing the Moat Monster!
>>11934443>surprised there is no genIt’s because Super 7 doesn’t exactly have the best reputation nowadays.
>>11934447Why is that? They seem to have loads of great licences, the only downside I see is the 7-inch scale and limited articulation, but NECA and McFarlane are the same and they get a lot of discussion.I also see they are doing both SilverHawks and TigerSharks.
>>11934449Years of overpriced figures with dogshit qc and questionable design decisions catches up with you.I bought a LOT of their stuff, almost all of their tmnt, gi joe, most of their thundercats, at one point I had probably 80+ figures and I would say of those maybe a third had glaring issues. You might ask why I kept buying if so many sucked, well, I liked the idea of what they were doing; like you said, they have great licenses, no one else was making vintage tmnt designs or sunbow gi joe, and for thundercats theres simply never going to be another line better than what they made, as flawed as some of the figures are. I wish they were better at making toys, but they have not improved much at all based on the few figures I've bought from them in the last 3 years. I have this jackalman preordered and am going to get the deluxe panthro, both of which I am buying only to replace the old versions with pins just because they look really out of place with the rest of them, and after that I am done buying their stuff, its just not worth it.
>>11934466Thanks for the qrd. I have Panthro DX on the way actually. I can understand what you are saying. I got LED Lion-O as my first figure, and whilst it looks great and the gimmick is done well, the articulation is anime heroes/dragon stars quality. For $50 it is certainly steep and they are obviously preying on older collectors they can finesse through nostalgia. The DX line is a nice way to offer the same figures at half the price. For comparison, I got the Dasin Lion-O today and did a headswap. If S7 could produce bodies of this quality there line would be perfect.
>>11934443There's no Storm general either. If it was up to me it'd be Storm+Jada and NECA+Super7 but I can feel the anger already.
>>11934466>overpriced figures with dogshit qc and questionable design decisions It's a shame because as anon mentioned, they have a lot of cool licenses, and do one offs that other companies won't.I like their ReAction line though it's crazy prices.
>>11934494Wasn’t there another company also doing Mars Attacks?
>>11934500Yeah Premium DNA, though multiple times they've opened pre-orders on figures only for them never to materialize. I'm not sure anyone knows if they're really in business anymore, they say they are.
>>11934500premium dna was going to but they cancelled them
>>11934491That actually looks alright. Worth it to go grab one of those red Lion-Os sitting at Walmart?
