>where to stay
Downtown and off strip. I don't go to the strip unless going to a hockey game or UFC or a rare meal. My preferred spots are Golden Nugget, Downtown Grand, GVR, Durango. I'll do Golden Gate/The D but only if it's a last minute trip and I want a cheap room lol.
>where to avoid
Centre strip is overrated AF. Last time at Aria was disappointing. Bellagio too, it's just not that good for the money. Lots of off strip Vegas has come down in price the back half of 2025. Centre strip is still extortionate pricing...not trying to spend $275 for a mid room and $50 for a beer and a burger.
>times of year to visit and times to stay away
Avoid F1. Avoid the super bowl. Avoid march madness. Avoid the biggest trade shows like CES and SEMA. Def consider going midweek. Sunday-Tuesday is a great time to go. Cheap and still lively enough to have fun.
>gambling suggestions
Find a property you like and get their players card. I'm a mid level gambler. Usually take $2000 to gamble and play 3-4 hours daily. Table games, poker, sports betting, and some slots. I get good comps for my play. Circa/The D/Golden Gate have a terrific rewards program, def check that out if you like Fremont. I'm not a high roller and still get A-tier comps at those properties. Something like $350 free play every month, $150 free food, and free rooms nearly always.

Gambling games to play - avoid penny slots. If you wanna play slots, play dimes or quarter denom. You'll get better odds. Better yet, just avoid slots. Sports betting is great cuz it takes up time and has a low house edge. Don't do parlays. Do single bets. Only play 3:2 blackjack. 6:5 is criminal. Don't play crapless craps, play regular craps. Only play single zero roulette, don't even think about playing triple zero. All the other table games have a large house edge (3 card poker, ultimate hold em, let it ride, pai gow poker, 4 card poker, etc) and should be avoided.

>>non-gambling entertainment like concerts, shows, museums
Fremont street live music is one of my fav parts of visiting. If you get smoked gambling, grab a beer go listen to free music. 3 stages usually playing 8pm-2am. The bands are 90% cover bands and they're actually good. S tier people watching too, always drunk women dancing.
I'm not a museum guy. Mob museum was cool and I liked the container park downtown. I don't go to shows, they're expensive and IMO boring. I've heard Absinthe is amazing, never been tho.
>>food
There are too many options to list here. Vegas has amazing restaurants everywhere. When I stay downtown I like Oscar's steakhouse at Plaza, Hash House a Go Go breakfast at Plaza, Le Thai east Fremont, Pizza Rock just off Fremont, and Andiamo steakhouse at the D. Forget the name but the 24/7 deli at Circa is real good too. Great spot to grab a sandwich after leaving the tables at 2am. Also the food truck BBQ spot between Circa & Golden Gate.
>>comps and strategies to maximize value
Get a players card. Even if you're not a big gambler. Your play adds up faster than you might think. Keep an eye out for point multipliers, especially during slow times. Lots of casinos do 2x, 3x, or even 10x points in summer or around the holidays to encourage gambling. Betting $1 per hand on video poker won't break the bank yet will earn you thousands of player points if it's a 10x promotion.
One other thing you can do is the $20 trick when checking in. Works best at B tier properties during slower times. Wedge a $20 between your license and credit card when you check in, and ask if there are upgrades available. It works about 80%. Didn't work at Bellagio, the girl apologised and handed my $20 back because they were booked full. I tipped her anyway lol...when in Rome.
>>hidden gems
Durango is worth the cost of an Uber to check out. Nice newer property. Awesome sportsbook, good gambling environment, and the best food court in a Vegas casino IMO.
>>
NYE suggestions?
not into loud night clubs
>>
>>2850162
>Downtown and off strip.
Ah yes I too like being in what is essentially Phoenix-lite but with more cost associated and agro'd crackheads and tweakers.
>>
>>2850167
Sounds like you've never been to Henderson, Spring Valley, or Fremont. Fremont has some crackheads for sure but there's a thousand cops and it's very safe.
>>
>>2850168
Yeah I have, before/after covid it's fairly eye opening. They have both gone down in quality while going up in prices and some places just completely never coming back.

Also, why the FUCK would you stay in SV or Henderson? You are losing any cost savings via uber or dare you use the bus to move around the city outside the strip routes lmao. What a good use of funds. You would objectively be better going to PHX if you're not going to focus on gambling. Yay you can shoot guns, AZ has that, oh what the tank thing? Alright pretty sure Phoenix has one now for Gila resorts. I guess helicopter rides and uhh the emote ball are cool?

> Vegas has amazing restaurants everywhere.
I'm not sure if you've actually been as recent as I have post covid, quality has dropped like a rock while prices don't reflect it. Not to mention staying in Spring Valley or Henderson then recommending everything to eat at Fermont street? Yeah real good logic there my guy.

Your posts sound like a 22 year old who went to vegas during some cheap covid deal and had a blast when it wasn't completely fucked by slobs at the time.
>>
>>2850171
>why stay in SV or Henderson
That's where Durango and GVR are
>restaurant quality has dropped like a rock
Lol classic /trv/. Non-verifiable angry opinion based on nothing

You seem upset. Calm down anon it's just a message board about going on holiday.
>>
>>2850173
>you must be upset
No I'm actively questioning your judgement because some of the places you recommended are quite the travel for someone without a car. So, you'd be better suited to stay on the strip then take a bus or uber for those one-off spots. Really GVR adn Durango aren't that great in terms of visitation outside winter or the short spring season; which even then is questionable.
>Non-verifiable angry opinion based on nothing
You can literally look up hundreds of youtube videos, blogs, new articles, etc as to people coming to the fact vegas has fallen off. Sure, there are some neat unique places to go eat and some high class places with unique servings but those too have almost outpriced themselves on being debatably worth it. I only consider some of the things worth it as work paid for trips for conventions there were footing the main bill and only then I went yeah okay I could see going with a gf/fiancée/wife to here.

Real advice for Vegas is go stay at the Luxor or NYNY
Grab some 'cheap' booze across the street at Liquor Outlet
Fill up your waterbottle/to-go cup/etc with some booze after pregaming vs. buying anywhere
Hit the street with some prebooked places done ahead of time if possible
Gamble if you want
Fly back out a week later

Realize you spend about ~1000 for a mediocre time
>>
>>2850174
You sound like someone I would not get along with IRL lmao. To each their own I guess. That's the beauty of Vegas, a million things to do and lots of ways to enjoy the town.
>>
>>2850165
Also in town for NYE. I'm assuming every bar and rooftop will need hella expensive prepurchased tix. Saw downtown is $60 to enter for the concerts.
>>
>>2850174
You are stupid recommending the strip. You are poor if you can’t rent a car. You are gonna be living in the Rio tunnels by 2030

Not Vegas but figured this would be the best place to ask.
Anyone been to Atlantic City for casinos? With Vegas the way it is these days I'm wondering if they might have some better deals and comps over on the east coast.
>>
>>2850363
Almost every casino has 3:2 if you’re playing $50 min. El Cortez and most the Fremont casinos have 3:2 $15 usually. Every off strip casino has 3:2.
>>
>>2850365
Idk never been to AC either but it seems AC is hit harder by bad economic conditions than Vegas. There’s prob good value on comps these days

i like craps. where has the best craps? three hundred buy in so no fifty minimums

yeah man an extra 55+tax a day+gas+25 for a parking pass/day if lucky, SO KINO. Especially if you're going to drink. Bro it's vegas don't be stupid.
>>

My advice as a seasoned vegasgoing oldfag:
>fremont >>> strip unless you’re a nightclubfag, a big poker player, or you’re taking a girl. Women don’t like downtown much. At least not hot younger women.
>buy some cheap booze at a walgreens or a grocery store and use it to pregame. Easy way to save yourself a couple hundo in alcohol
>if you like to drink and like to gamble, do one or the other. Gambling while shitfaced drunk will fuck up your trip. The caveat being playing slots or video poker at a bar to get free drinks.
>high end Vegas restaurants are over priced and over rated, esp on the strip. there’s a ton of cheap eats that are good eating
>48 hours is the perfect trip length. You do not need to stay for three full days. Time moves slowly in Vegas cuz you’re always doing something and hardly sleep
>do NOT go with a large group. Vegas has too many options to make decisions with ten people. Vegas solo >>> Vegas in a big group
>go to bed by 1. Nothing good happens after 1.
>vegas strip clubs suck. They’ll have gorgeous dancers who expect at least a couple hundo per dance with a strapped security guard watching you like a hawk and kicking you out if you do anything but sit motionless
>don’t gamble more than a few minutes for small amounts. The time to gamble in Vegas passed when mafia casinos ended.
>>
For me it’s huff and puff grand. Ultra palace bonus is guaranteed like 200x your bet
>>
>>2850445
Nah man. Free parking at red rock casino. Also all the good food in Chinatown. The strip is for suckers, a car is absolutely necessary if you’re not just going to gamble. The nature outside Vegas is incredible. Everything costs normal prices as soon as you’re away from the strip. All the strip properties suck compared to red rock and south point it’s actually silly. The only thing worth going to near the strip is the horse game at the D. Better odds better food better Vegas it’s simple really.
>>
>>2850793
I agree avoiding the strip is the way to go, but better food off strip is debatable. There's some incredible restaurants on the strip.
>>
>>2850165
>>2850182
Any official NYE event will cost $100+ and might have a dress code. Lots of them have open bar tho so it's decent value.

I'll be on Fremont watching fireworks over by Plaza

I agree there are great restaurants on the strip but every time I’m in town I hit up herb and rye, kabuto and yanni’s which are all off strip

>>
Never been to Vegas before. How do I compmaxx? I want to gamble because I like the casino aesthetics; I know the house wins but I'd like to bleed as slowly as I can while maxxing comps. I'm talking nice rooms, freeplays, room service. Don't care about fancy restaurants or shows. Looking for something sleazecore, like fear and loathing style, plenty of neon lights and seedy saloons. Just not gimmicky. I'm a single, alcoholic, gay nerd so I know how to drunkmaxx and grindrmaxx. That's no problem. Just want to mitigate the bamboozlement while maxxing rewards.
>>
>>2851144
If you want to maximize comps, play slots. Casinos love slot players. You’ll earn more comps playing $2/spin than you would playing $25 min blackjack or craps.

Players clubs will have point values posted in the fine print. Usually slots are 1 point per $3-$5 wagered. Video poker and table games will earn at a significantly slower rate because the house edge is better on slots.

tldr - if you want comps, park your ass at a slot machine for 3 hours.
>>
>>2851151
maybe i will try slots next trip.
i play low limit poker and table games. my comps are always shit. cant get a free weekend room even with five or six trips a year and a hundred hours of poker and blackjack

>>
Downtown is SHIT. Filthy, crowded, reeks of weed, poor people and hobos all over. Don’t listen to any retard telling you freemont street is better than the strip. It is not fucking close. If anyone prefers freemont they are poor.
>>
>>2851261
Poker and bj comps are way less than slot comps dollar for dollar. If you like poker grind out video poker it’s a lot better return for comps and sometimes even have positive ev with perfect play
>>
>>2851573
VP comps are usually 1/2 slot comps but with good strategy you can make a hundred bucks last a long time playing $1-$2 hands
>>
>>2850805
Is Secret Pizza inside the Cosmopolitan still around? I don't even remember if it was any good. I just remember popping out of a service hallway between two high end restaurants and drunkenly eating my pizza in front of people waiting for tables.

Pretty sure it is, but I haven’t been to cosmo in years. Secret pizza was good last time I had it.

Very nice large rooms and bathrooms. Pool deck. Good views. Valet staff always helpful to arrange a ride, even free limo (tips). The biggest bonus is zero cigarette smoke and no casino. Drinks good, minimal food on menus, if you dine there. Good location only behind the mall.

On the 3rd party booking sites like Hotwire and Priceline you can often find great deals on Trump hotel. It’s always under the hidden deals where they don’t reveal the hotel name. Just look for a 5 star hotel with no casino and there’s a 95% chance it’s the Trump
>>
heard a few anons say you can sit at any casino bar and play the machine at the bar and get free drinks.
how true is this? do you have to bet max?
i don't want to bet $5 per hand of video poker to get a "free" beer
>>
>>2853791
Never been, so can't help, but the "$5 spin" isn't quite accurate framing.

afaik the worst case RTP (return to player) on video poker is 95%, meaning a 5% house edge, meaning each spin would effectively cost you 25¢.

Better machines with a 99% RTP will see you spend 5¢ a spin. At 100 spins an hour, you'll be paying $5/hr, which I guess is cheaper than a drink in vegas (assuming service).

You'd have to find decent machines for it to be +ev.

Lol, just stumbled on a reddit thread where apparently there (used to?) is a community of '''''professional'''' video poker players who grind 1000s of hands an hour at +EV play to try and grind casino bonuses.

https://redlib.catsarch.com/r/gambling/comments/a5nvtz/how_many_hands_of_video_poker_can_you_reasonably/
>>
>>2853791
Most places have $0.25 denomination at the bar. You can bet max at $1.25 and with solid strategy (aka don't make any stupid holds) you'll be able to get a couple drinks with minimal loss most the time. Lots of places don't care how much you're betting, other places have a monitoring system with a red/yellow/green light on the back of the machine that tells the bartender if you're risking enough to drink free.

I play a lot of VP on Fremont. I've never had a bartender question my play or ask me to bet more. They're very generous with drinks downtown. I've had a few times I got my ass kicked for $40 in the time I got 2-3 drinks. Also had had a few times I made quads multiple times in ~100 hands and drank free plus won $60 or more.

IMO it's worth it to play a bit to get free drinks unless you don't enjoy VP or the bar is demanding bigger bets

I want to attend UFC 324 next week. Never been to a fight.

Are tickets usually this expensive? I was expecting around $150. The cheapest I see is almost $500. Is there a better site than Stubhub? How the hell do they fill the arena at these prices
>>
>>2855472

Had half a day before my redeye flight (work trip not in Vegas but flying in/out of LAS), Sakana AYCE sushi was pretty good for lunch and the price, especially the unagi nigiri. Visited Goodsprings for some New Vegas fun, 30 min south of Vegas but you'll need to bribe an Uber/Lyft with a big tip for a return trip (or use a rental, or be polite and friendly with staff who could give you a ride when they get off work). Lastly if you're departing/arriving from B gates in Terminal 1, the Elvis burger in the PGA restaurant is surprisingly good but the churros are not.

>>2855472
For a Gaethje fight you can expect to pay 300 minimum, more likely 400. The good news is that arena is great for MMA and there are no bad seats

I've only played craps in video games (just Vegas Stakes). What is the etiquette at a real table? What should I NOT do? Can I take my bets off the table after the point/7 has been hit like in Vegas Stakes or do they stay on the board for the next come out roll?
>>
>>2851514
Exactly, imagine the sort of disgusting scum that say this, literally some genetic filth that thinks actual humans want to be just like it
>>
>>2856909
You can take your bets down at any time. I would strongly advise leaving a craps table after hitting a point. Everyone keeps playing and gives back all their winnings.

There's not really any etiquette rules except no phone use and you can only use one hand to touch the dice. Also don't say "seven" people get superstitious AF about that. Also don't be a dick if you bet the Don't Pass...you'll be winning when everyone else loses so keep it quiet.

My former company had an office in Vegas. They were constantly hiring because people would take a job, move to Vegas, and burn out in a few months.
We had one veteran guy in Vegas who who did the interviews and hiring. He said everyone who moves to Vegas is looking for easy money and a glamorous lifestyle. Hired a girl who quit a few weeks later and started stripping. She had huge tits so I’m sure she made more stripping than our entry level account executive gig. He had other stories about all his interviews being wannabe poker pros, sports betting pros, golf hustlers, etc. Shitty people move to Vegas.
I spent some time there for work just before covid. Always stayed well off strip to avoid the chaos…I was there to work, not party. The city of Vegas sucks. It’s a hot, dusty, drug and crime filled shithole. The affordable areas are not somewhere you’d want to live and the nice areas like Henderson and Summerlin are far more expensive than they’re worth.

Don’t move to Vegas unless you have a good job lined up. Don’t move to Vegas if you’re a gambler. Don’t move to Vegas if you’re a big drinker or drug user. Everything being available 24/7 is too much for people with vices.
>>
>>2859605
meh i lived in vegas for a few years, had a decent job, and loved going to the casinos after work. big drinker and gambler. never burned out, loved living in the desert-y 'burbs.

i think some people are just retarded and can't control their vices, and get this urge to keep gambling/gooning/partying well after they should've stopped, i never played with more than a few thousand and rarely lost serious money on the gamba. always tapped out when appropriate and never fed slot machines like some dumb addict boomer.

that being said i moved to california because it was too hot in vegas and there were too many niggers floating around drunk and high outta their minds.

>>2859726
I lived in Vegas for 2 summers when I was 21 in 2002/03. My best friend was living their at the time. I had an entry level casino job. On my days off, I would sneak into the hotel pools. At the time, you could walk into the pool at the Tropicana, the Mirage, the Monte Carlo and Green Valley Station with no room card. We would gamble at the El Cortez and the Sahara. They both ran $1 blackjack. El Cortez used to run $2 craps and $1 roulette. We ate a lot of cheap buffets. Excalibur had a $13 AYCE with Prime rib. Treasure Island was $15. We hiked a lot up on Mount Charleston. We went to Chinatown a lot. We took road trips to California. I had a smoking hot girlfriend. Everyone came out to visit. But after 2 years, I was over it. That second summer was brutal. My car started to fall apart. My girlfriend cheated. My job was monotonous with no chance to move up. I couldn't get residency to get cheap community college. I had a great time for 90 percent of my time there. But I would never move back.

this place is a big distraction for
people that are to selfish to better

Everytime I go to one God shows

It's much like approaching hell.

And then when you're finally there,
you're surrounded by the constant

loud OBNOXIOUS demon machines

Came back from trip, $600 net loss in gambling alone (it was fun while it lasted), have not even added up all the expenses.

When can I expect comps to come my way?
>>
Previously I stayed on strip (Flamingo). This time I want to stay on Fremont, I've been on Fremont a bunch, and I think I like it more than the strip, but taking an uber there and back from the sahara was a pain in the ass; also I like the idea of renting a car so I can go sightseeing during the day and see the hoover dam and other stuff that isn't mostly restricted by monorail access when you're staying on strip and too lazy or cheap to call an uber. Also I should be able to drive down to the sahara and take the monorail to see shows?

Any places on Fremont you guys would recommend staying? I did a lot of gambling down there, but I don't know anything about the hotels themselves. and I don't necessarily *need to stay in the same hotel I'm going to be doing all my gambling in (I did very little gambling in the Flamingo, most of it was in NYNY, Luxor, Excalibur, and on Fremont (mainly Binions and Main St Station)). Really as long as it has free or cheap parking for guest and isn't a shithole I'm cool with it. I'll miss the strip view rooms from the Flamingo which I fucking loved, but I really spend very little time in the hotel room when I'm in vegas or elsewhere. it's just a place to sleep, shower and shit. I don't need the gym or pool or sauna or whatever.

>thoughts on Trump hotel?
Flight crews like this property. No smoke anywhere, no casino in lobby. Good security to/from the rooms, and extremely good valet. They might offer a free (tip the driver) ride vs ever needing an uber. I am loyal.

OP, Canyon Ranch has their largest spa in Vegas, and it's worth a great half day of one service, a massage or facial, and then hit all the facilities rest of afternoon, and then roll into a show later all refreshed.

As far as the great restaurants go, some of the best food I ate were through a walking food tour giving VIP access to several greats. None of these properties had reservations available for months.
>>
Went off strip and ate a bacon egg and cheese bagel for $20. Cheap eats isn't a thing here huh
>>
Went to Vegas last year and it was awful. Its became exorbitantly expensive and the taxis are somehow double what I paid in fucking downtown Paris. I agree with anons that Downtown Vegas and Red Rock are the better bets but Downtown can get sketch as fuck with all the fentheads even if Fremont Street has better controls for hustlers and more shit to do outside of gambling. Honestly I kinda I rented a car and drove out to Fort Mohave and Peach Springs.

I bought a home like that, in the early 00's. Ours has a small pool and a two bdrm pool house in the back, so slightly bigger properties than your pic. Was 450k then, Hoa fees were 600 a year. Now the old people are dying off, the families are selling or mini-mansioning the homes. Our 450k is now 1.8m and the fixed up ones are going for 2.1m off the bat. its crazy.

I think part of the problem with Casinos is Gen X, Y, and Z have smartphones. They can play Slots on them or PC now. Poker is online too. The table games and stuff are fun for Bachelor party stuff, but who among Gen Z has that kind of disposable income to fly to Vegas for this. (Or Gen Y for that matter.) On top of that, lots of regional casinos have opened in the past 20 years or so -- if degenerate gamblers need to scratch that itch they dont need to board a flight to Nevada anymore.
Boomers are the only market that really still wants to go for casinos. Young families have other options like Disney, Pigeon Forge, or Branson for live entertainment.
Boxing and UFC events can only go so far. Especially since both seem unable to produce a star right now.

Looked up seeking arrangement in Vegas. It’s all pretty much ugly or ghetto black girls and hispanics.

My best friend lived in Vegas for 10 years and we used to drive up 3 or 4 times a year. If you want a good trip in Vegas, listen the fuck up. You want to go in early spring or late fall. Rent a car so you can get around. Whatever you do, don't go in the summer.
The best deals on food are on Spring Mountain Blvd in Chinatown. There are dozens of amazing Ramen places, Korean BBQ joints and Izakaya restaurants. Hachi, Ramen Tatsu, Ramen Hashi, Ramen Sora, Ichiza and 888 are all amazing.
The Cloud 9 Golf course is the best cheap golf course you'll ever do. You can get a tee time, clubs and a gold cart for $25/person. They built a literal oasis in the desert. I not a golfer and I this is easily one of the best things to do in the city.
For cheap drinks, go downtown to Fremont street and buy a giant 40 oz beer from the liquor store for $5. They pour it into a cup for you and you can drink outside and watch the bands play for free.
For hiking, go to Red Rock and park for free in the Calico Basin parking area.
For cooming, you go to a massage parlor in the Spring Mountain area. There are about 100 of them to choose from.
If you wan to spend money on an attraction, go to Area15 and do Megamart. Area15 is also an awesome place to go to a dance party when they do themed parties. It's a lot of Otaku type locals.
>>
ate at andiamo last weekend. really good i was surprised how good everything was including cocktails
>>
Went to Planet Hollywood for Wrestlemania this weekend. Got a basic room so nothing special room wise. Prices are bout what you expect for food. Good access to ABC and Payless so you can pick up cheap water and drinks. Table minimums around 10-15 even late on Saturday for Texas hold em, Mississippi stud and that flush game. 15 For Craps and it didn't go down any day.

Had a good time at the wrestling event at the Palms on Thursday, Relatively cheap food for an off strip place, Hawaiian place in the food court had a good teriyaki burger and fuku fries. Craps was like 10 and other table games were around the same.

If you like comics, I can recommend Cosmic Comics! Very good selection. Also checked out Wii Play Games East. Good selection on retro games if you're into that.

And since /TRV/ is a Coomer board, Happy Trails Day Spa on E Sunset offers FS. Price was 200$ Nice looking Korea lady.

If I had to do it again, i'd just go to the watch party at the Palms or what Rio has. Wasn't bad, just didn't like dealing with the crowds.

Got back from vegas a week ago and it was the worst place I've ever been. Stayed in trump tower, the Internet sucked and the outlets hardly worked. 12$ ATM fees, resort fees on all the hotels, 25$ beers on the strip, Constant sirens, niggers from around the country everywhere. And don't get me started on the airport, holy fuck that has to be the worst airport in all of the US.

The only thing was the Sphere looked cool and I managed to eat 6 pounds of snow crab at a buffet for 50$
>>
>>2877619
>$12 ATM fees
Your own fault. Bring cash from home. There are plenty of $3 ATMs around Vegas.
>$25 beers on the strip
Literally doesn't exist unless you were buying a bucket of beers

The dollar sign goes before the numbers and thats a normal atm fee inside a casino.

Goin to vegas next month, not my first time, but first time staying off-strip (gold nugget) and actually renting a car. Im gonna be there for 3 full days (not counting the half days/nights of flying in and out). Whats some cool shit to go see off-strip? So far the only thing i have planned is the hoover dam. My old man suggested the grand canyon since he and my mom like going there and staying at those little chalets on the rim, but i told him thats like a 4h drive from vegas so a bit more than im down to do for a daytrip.

Suggestions?

It was true for me at the El Cortez. I was doing video blackjack at 2 or 3 dollars a hand and enjoyed free Gin and Tonic the entire time. The barman kept my glass full, and they weren't watered down like on the strip.

Probably the only time I truly enjoyed myself gambling. But I might be biased because I also walked out ahead that afternoon.
>>
>>2853791
While gambling at a bar top machine, the bartender is essentially a localized cocktail server and drinks are free, barring tips. All you technically need to do is put money in the machine and look like you're gambling to get at least one drink. As for monitoring systems, as long as you're tipping the bartenders really won't care, and the systems are uncommon anyway as the casinos want you drunk. You're stupid and loose with money when you're drunk.

If you want to take it easy and drink, find a bar top with video poker, specifically the multihand kind. Normally, you'd be looking at 25 cents to a dollar per hand. Multihand has a lower per hand wager, you're just playing 3 to 100 times as many hands at once. The catch is you can just play one hand at like a nickel. If you don't look like a hobo, one dollar in nickels played very slowly will get you plenty of free beer.
>>
>>2880029
I'm getting better offers from mgm now than I did when I was going twice a year. All my comp offers used to include the resort fee but now I can get 4 nights at the W for $0 out the door plus resort credit and freeplay.

Only retards play for comps. You get 10 times better value for your money playing low limit games and just paying for things. I worked in a casino for years. I can't tell you how many times I saw some retard lose $5,000-10,000 for 2 nights in a hotel and a buffet that would have cost him $700.

>>2882233
You're a stupid little bitch.
>I worked in a casino for years
lmao no you didnt, cringe little bitch. Kill yourself.
>>
>>2882288
But I did. I worked in the credit department at Bellagio. The formula we used to calculate comps was your average bet per hour times the number of hours you played. Then we'd cut that number in half. You play $500 a hand of blackjack for 10 hours, we'd comp you $2500 in room or food credits on your next visit. But those comps were based on the normal room and food rates. A weekend room at Bellagio will run you $700+ a night. You might get 3 nights and a meal for that kind of play if they were feeling really generous. But honestly, you'd be lucky to get anything unless you were a regular. I saw people lose $2,000 in 10 minutes and get denied a buffet request. Like I said, only retards play for comps.

Can someone please explain to me how strip clubs work in vegas? I chickened out last trip because i started reading online and found it all extremely confusing with the whole taxi vs uber vs calling the strip club to pick you up scouting fees, cover charges etc... shit, weird bottle service things, claims of aggressive strippers. Goin to vegas in a few days, this time will also have a rental car.

I just wanna go somewhere, sit down, have a drink or two, not necessarily interested in a lapdance or waking up in a ice filled tub with my kidneys missing. Maybe spend 150 tops for cover, drinks, dances, lookin more 40-80 hopefully

How do i go about this?
>>
>>2882906
vegas, strip clubs, and especially vegas strip clubs are not places to go if you dont want to spend a lot of money. you need current local info to find what youre looking for. blackjack dealer or bartenders. concierge would be a good option if you wanted to spend money.
>>
>>2882972
So there are absolutely no 'casual' strip clubs and everything is some ultra fancy expensive one?

Is this just vegas or most places now? Truth be told i havent been to a strip club in probably over ten years, and never went alone in the past; what i remembered was maybe a 20$ cover charge, 5$ beers and 20-40$ dances when i went with my buddies. Is this just a vegas strip clubs thing? Or inflation/etc...
>>
>>2882977
they still exist but it wont be near the strip so you need a local to tell you where to go. otherwise you risk showing up on gay night or its dead on tuesday and the girls wont leave you alone. you need a place busy enough that they dont care that youre only drinking beer and throwing singles. not so busy that they gouge everyone.

>>2882684
When I was at Bellagio, they didn't really care about the players who were betting $500 or less per hand. They went after the big players. We had a guy from Turkey who would play $250K per spin of roulette. He would buy in for a million, lose it in 10 minutes, buy in for another million, lose it in 5 minutes and then fly home. He used to smash all the chairs in the high limit area. One time he took the glass dolly off the table and smashed a dealer's finger and sent her to the ER. He had to pay her off so he could keep coming in.

>>2882650
In more recent years, Bellagio lost a lot of the bigger players to the newer, nicer casinos. They've stooped to mailing out these little flyers where anyone on the mailing list can get 2 nights free on a specific weekend. I can only imagine the lowlife crowd that shows up on those nights. I bet the buffet serves fried chicken that weekend.

>$20 trick
Everyone on the youtube talks about this, is it worth it? Im only going on my second trip... tomorrow, first time i went (flamingo) i did not hand em a 20 and was offered a suite upgrade; which i did not take because it would not be strip view, which my original booking was. This time im staying at the nugget, already booked a room in the relaxation tower or whatever that comes with a coffeemaker which is great because fuck waiting in line at starbucks first thing in the morning, im used to having my coffee before i get dressed and leave the house in the morning; so i have no clue what kind of upgrade they could even offer me seeing as i already booked what i want

Is this upgrade trick more of a thing for people who book the absolute cheapest thing possible?
>>

Howdy neighbor, I'm gonna be at the 4 queens tomorrow. Don't worry, I don't intend to meet. I hear different stories about that. I actually stayed at the nugget last year on my first trip, tipped the desk lady for helping me out with the check in, but she said "what's this for?" I just said I was new and thanks for the help, I forgot to ask. It was labor day weekend so i'm sure it was all packed. What is the etiquette on walking through casinos with your own drinks? I know you get free watered down g&ts when you sit and playba while, but when you're just wandering; sure the cup of beer or rum slushie are fine, but would i get in trouble or be committing some kind of social faus pax if im walking around with a plastic handle of cheap bourbon?

If its a problem i can just pour it into a big ass cup in my room with some ice and then just walk around with that. Slightly less convenient but gets the job done

Bellagio didn't send out those kind of promotions when I worked there. It was the swankiest hotel on the strip and it was nearly always booked solid. It's in their interests to keep "tricks" like this so guests think they've got something special

In reality you likely just end up getting a really marginal upgrade that isn't worth the $20. Pretty much every hotel has so many grades of suite that they can do this for pretty much any booking and not lose any real money

>the shitty tower
>the shitty tower with 2sqft more space
>the shitty tower not just overlooking a flat roof with all the vents
>the shitty tower strip view
>the tower that is what everyone expects their room to be in.

etc. there are probably 20 or so levels of 'upgrades' like this until you get to the significant ones.

I do free g&ts when im actually gambling, i was talking about walking around fremont; btw been doing it last night and this morning seems to not be a problem at all; i grabbed a free cup from the fremont st entrances where they have all the free cups next to the no glass signs, filled it at the ice machine, then filled it up to about 75% with bourbon. Half a handle of evan williams gone, and honestly i prefer it this way, cold drinks, watered down so you get some hydration too

Also imo complimentary drink service seems wildly inconsistent, ive sat down at a machine with a drink in my hand and been immediately offered a drink, or been at a table or machine for 30/+ winning or losing a few hundred bucks and cashing out without anyone ever offering me a drink
>>
>>2883624
They don’t water anything down in Vegas. They want you drunk while you gamble. They want you drunk the whole time.

Anyone who flies out to Vegas more than two or three times in a lifetime is retarded. It's no different than those autistic adults who go to Disney every year. Vegas is a total waste of money. You cram into a piss filled pool with a bunch of n@ggers from Atlanta and then waste $1000 at night playing blackjack so you can get a free rum and coke. If that's the best vacation you can imagine, you deserve Vegas.

Just spent 45 minutes trying to find my car in a multi-story parking lot because i got so fucking drunk last night i forgot where i parked and had to walk up and down the entire structure to find it

Otherwise i dont really think so? Theres some japanese restaurants here and there i guess, and sometimes theres anime conventions or expos? Never been to or seen one but heard its a thing
>>
>>2884092
Kid, you're low income dogshit. You can't afford to go anywhere. And its obvious you're mad about it.
>>
Also,

>LAX is still one of the absolute best and cheapest airports on the West Coast for flights to Europe, but it generally cannot beat the rock-bottom prices found on the East Coast.
>The East Coast Edge: Airports like New York (JFK/EWR) and Boston (BOS) are thousands of miles closer to Europe, meaning shorter flights, lower fuel costs, and a higher density of transatlantic budget carriers (like Norse Atlantic or Icelandair).

So you dont even know wtf you're talking about
>>
>>2884236
I've flown to Europe 4 times in the last 3 years out of LAX. I paid $460 to Madrid, $540 for Amsterdam, $500 for Geneva and $500 for Venice for roundtrip flights on good airlines. That's why I don't really understand why people in LA go to Vegas. The only reason I can come up with is that west coast people who go to Vegas all the time must have autism.

Nta but apples and oranges. Vegas is a cheap and easy as hell 'long weekend' destination you can do on a whim. I like Japan too but thats much more of a book and plan everything out months in advance affair where you're going to need to get leave approved, and you also need to be hella picky about season if you want to avoid crowds or hellish humidity&heat or typhoon season etc...

Also due to the short nature of vegas trips, its one of those convenient and relaxed carryon only type deals which cuts so much time off of the duration you need to be dicking around at the airport with checking in bags, customs or baggage claim

I fucking love both. Have been to both (3weeks in japan, 4nights in vegas) this year. And they are by no stretch of the imagination comparable.
>>
>>2884323
I stopped going to Vegas. They nickel and dime you for everything now. Resort fees, paid parking, $25 table minimums, all the buffet deals are gone. It's so much more ghetto on the strip since Nevada legalized weed. Why pay a premium to stay in Vegas to hang out with black people?

Honestly this is one of my favorite things about fremont street, niggers be dressed and behaving like they're extras in a rap music video walking around smoking blunts and drinking 40s; but otherwise being pretty well behaved and it's overall pretty safe, it's like a 90s ghetto stereotype rennisance faire

There's this archetype of 30-60 year old men who solo travel to Vegas because they're friendless degenerate gamblers. They sit at the Blackjack table for 8 hours a night. They never smile. They all wear the exact same outfit: flipflops, khaki shorts and a golf shirt. They all fly in on Friday and fly out on Sunday. They were the most depressing people in the world. About once a day, one of them will swan dive from a parking garage into the parking lot after losing too much.

So i stayed in the rush tower, some kind of single king room w/coffeemaker

Pros:
>location
Love fremont st, ideal place to end a night, the whole reason i chose the nugget
>parking
Free for guests, entrance to garage conveniently avoids a lot of congestion

Cons:
>Bathroom (highly subjective)
Shallow toilet (the kind where your dick touches the porcelain if you sit forward, or dips in the water when you lean forward to wipe while sitting back), no clue if this was just my toilet being fucked, or if there are different toilets in different rooms/towers
Rain shower; i just hate these things, i like the high pressure oldschool ones
>parking
No reserved parking, non guests gotta pay but if they take all the spots you (as a guest) are just SOL. They have valet at 20/day for guests, BUT they closed the rush tower valet lot, and if you want to get valet you need to wait at gold tower entrance which is a traffic catastrophe

So basically, fri/sat nights, you dont wanna be driving back because you'll be zigzagging throught the parking lot for 30+min trying to fine a spot

What i personally did was go do shit during the day with my rental car (redrock canyon, hoover dam, chinatown, offstrip casinos), come back, park, then take an uber/taxi whatever to the strip proper for shows and pre/post-show gambling and dining, and then take a uber/taxi back to fremont before just kinda walking around with a big plastic cup (free at fremont st entrances from casino) of ice (hotel ice machine) and bourbon enjoying the live music and vibes, doing a bit more gambling and late night snacking

Overall i had a great time; would i stay again? Maybe, it's the first place i stayed on fremont, ill stay on fremont again, might try a diff place, might come back

absinthe is the only redeeming thing about vegas. vegas is such a overpriced shithole. i have spend a week there every 2 years for a trade show. i truly despise it. it is a containment zone for ameritards who think blowing their goybucks on goyslop and fake luxury is the american dream.

I spent a week at the Bellagio last November. My favorite part is waiting 15 minutes in line for a $9 coffee to start my day. Then I have a $50 mediocre breakfast passing the losers like (you) still sitting at the tables after a long night donating money to MGM on the way. If it weren't for my fountain view room I would have never seen the fountains since they were setting up fences to keep the poors like (you) from seeing the F1 track for free. On the way to my $20 uber I see the cops slamming a homeless ladys head into the sidewalk because she's spitting at people walking out of the doors. Sometimes I have to take a roundabout way to get somewhere because there are sketchy black people smoking weed and bothering passerbys, or a group of mexicans are blocking the sidewalk blasting music on their bluetooth speakers and waving mexican flags. Also it costs $2200 for a first class seat on delta just because it's vegas, when a first class ticket to lax is $1400. I could go on and on. The place sucks.
>>2887152

Truly baffling post, if you find the center strip niggers scary enough to cross the street to avoid them you just sound like a pussy

Also im not entirely sure what point you're trying to make by autistically recounting itemized receipts; if you're trying to prove that vegas is overpriced, or if you're trying to prove you're not a poorfag? You're accomplishing neither, there are far more expensive places to go, and you can easily spend much more in vegas than you do without being a "high roller". Frankly it just sounds like you dont like to gamble, so vegas isn't for you. Bitching about it endlessly is also incredibly gay because this is on the same level as conplaining about why you as a single grown ass man think disneyland is a boring ripoff on the disneyland forums
