Go to at least one West End production. Les Mis is obviously the best. I live in north england and have visited several times and it's night and day compared to northern cities, there's a seemingly never ending list of places to visit, things to see, food to eat and it's somewhere I'd like to live someday. The public transport is fantastic, you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without much trouble. On the sunny days there's plenty to do outside and vice versa for the rainy days there's art galleries, museums, bars whatever the fuck you want to do. The place is teeming with immigrants and tourists of all types and colours (in some places you can walk for 5 minutes before hearing a british accent) which is something to be aware of but overall I think you'll have a good time
