Anyone have experience with the 6 month digital nomad visa in Japan?
>>
I'm planning on applying for it in 6 months or so.
Worried about making friends in Japan, not sure where to live, etc.

I am also not sure how difficult it is to get.
I meet the income requirements and live in one of the accepted countries.

If anyone has done it I am curious how it went

the rewards are so low it's probably trivial to get. a 6 month visa? and you have to leave 6 months to get it again? who cares about that? if you're from a first world country several countries already give you a 6month visa for free
>>
>>2878729
What's the point being a digital nomad in an expensive country? And only for 6 months?
>>
>>2878729
no you're not going to get laid

There's no bigger mistake in life than going to Japan in 2026.

QRD? Prices are so cheap it can barely count as a mistake

NTA:
>tourists are being blasted by the government-media apparatus for literally anything and everything no matter what race of tourist - if the chinese kick deer in nara or a white guy reclines his chair on the bullet train, all tourists get blamed for it.
>everything worth going to japan for is getting raped by bureaucrats - cherry blossom viewing points getting screened / fenced off
>new government measures and rule changes every week designed to keep out those who have money and their shit together long-term in favour of eigo senseis and jeet / seamonkey labour
>permanent residents getting fucked in the ass by visa renewal hikes and more scrutiny while aforementioned jeets and seamonkeys get a free pass

The place is just becoming so insular which on paper is a good thing but it's for the wrong reasons.

I'm gonna go to Japan and live in a sharehouse for 90 days, OP is looking to live for 6 months. Those things dont really matter to us lol. who cares about cherry blossoms and long term visas. the exchange rate is too good to pass up
>>
>>2878741
I see no other way to live in Japan
Other than to teach English or something gay like that.

How does raising the prices for tax stamps keep away "those who have money"?
Also it's insane how permanent residence doesn't require you to know Japanese.
>>
You can just do 2x90 day visa's it's easier and cheaper
>>
>>2878904
do they care if you do back to back

I think he's more talking about the business visa restrictions - that visa was basically a "residence by investment" and they've made it prohibitively hard to use it that way by introducing a bunch of non-monetary requirements like actually needing business experience abroad

More of a move to fuck over chinese investors(they made it more money than chinese can legally remit yearly) and diginomads(can't coast through self-sponsorship via a legal entity now) than it is to fuck over rich people though

Still a super gay move because they really are just letting jeets and SEAmonkeys get a pass, white and chinese people willing to put up money to live there under a golden visa scheme are still better than brownoids.

Just take a few weeks in Korea or Taiwan, they don't care that much
>>
>>2878916
3 days break will get you rejected but 3 weeks is ok?
>>
>>2878922
last year I had a buddy stay 90 days, go to Korea for a weekend, then return for like another 2 months for a language school. that was before the new government so things might have changed since then.
>>
>>2878914
Japs want to keep Chinese people out because they're racist and know that Chinks are just better at doing business then them and want an infinite number of shitskins to work at Lawsons.
I doubt I need to tell you that but it's just depressing how quickly Japan became another cucked Western country.

It is up to the CBP, if you dip out for 3 days and come back it looks like you could be working and just dipped for a few days off.

90 Days in Japan is a long ass time anon, Korea and Taiwan are right there for you and Korea is cheap as hell to fly and airbnb in. Personally I do like 2 months in Spring->dip to Taiwan for some beaches->dip to SEA for some events->get back to Japan when it begins to cool down for another 2months, and 2 months floating for if I want to head back for an event. You only get 180 days per 365 calendar year. Space that shit out.

Japan is overally horrible in summer due to the mountain ranges that just block jet streams from moving air like other places in the world have. If you're trying to crunch 6 months, just do 2 weeks in another country and then come back. Taiwan or Korea are usually quick and easy to get to. You can do 2x90 day back to back if you google how to do an extension just know it requires a fair bit of work and proof of a lot more than your normal adventure.

Is there some reason you're trying to crunch 6 months in one go?

It's not to due with the chinks/poos/etc. It's a broad economic and infrastructure consideration(law enforcement, housing, etc). They basically want to make sure people aren't getting lost for doing long stays, aren't working projects under the table that compete against local economics.

I go to Japan a lot each year, why you would want to do 6 months one shot is beyond me unless you are on some weird sabbatical or letting a non-compete expire.

It is about Chinese people. They might frame it as being worried about giving the CCP a foot in the door, but there are a lot of areas in Japan that urgently need reform that just isn't happening because they are too worried about Chinese businesses than they are about fixing their own agriculture industry and the like.
Japan is stuck with a system of unprofitable small-hold farms and powerful co-ops. They won't businesses to consolidate farmland because then Chinese companies could buy more land in Japan. They've just changed the law to make foreign buyers disclose their nationality to the JP government and can block purchases on arbitrary "security grounds" if the buyer is Chinese.
I agree that they don't care about the kind of shitskin you are but Japanese people do go out of their way to make it more difficult for the Chinese.

I too get my information from clickbait breadtubers and pol!

No one really cares, yes some staff at some places known for incidents may to a second glance to make sure you aren't a retard if walking around with a selfie stick and/or obviously live streaming. However, 90% of Japanese just see white guy or foreign family walking around and go "oh tourists hope they don't ask me for directions".

The only thing I've noticed over 10 years, and I've been coming to Japan since early 20's, is that highschoolers are a bit more of vocal retards about gaijin. Wow oh no some highschool Kanji-kun is mad, I'll never get over this especially not with my +100k/yr job and ability to work wherever!.

>>2878937
Yeah totally, so true that's why they shut down all Yokohama and Kobe chinese culture zones, turn the buses of chinese away from spending, stopped admitting them to universities, and banned China airlines; oh wait even during golden week they are here.

It has nothing to do that the "up to" 90 day visa free entry is basically a world standard for most countries. Go be doomer baiting back on pol
>>
>>2878938
>Japanese people don't make things more difficult for Chinese people because uhhhh you can buy fried rice in Kobe
You're just retarded. Nothing that you've brought up has anything to do with what I'm talking about. Try reading for once in your life.

Why would anyone go through the headache of applying for the 6 month Japan DN visa? I'm on my second month here now with a tourist visa and will fly out shortly before the 90 days are up. Maybe return in the fall for another 90 days, idk yet.
>>2878788
Japan isn't particularly expensive

really goes to show that the people doomposting about Japan are a bunch of third worlders
>>
>>2878935
6 months is better because I like the continuity aspect of focusing on the language, maintaining a harem etc
I'm not a tourist, I'm a slow traveler

I'm in the process of going to a handful of countries for 3 months at a time, and then I will live in my top 2 countries 6 months each a year. Based on the way things are going Japan is extremely likely to make the top 2 for me

you're both fucking retarded. it's literally just because the US is doing immigration crackdowns and takaichi wants to look "strong" like trump, but they don't have any capacity to create an agency like ICE or go boots-on-ground crackdown mode against enclaves full of illegals and people abusing refugee chain-migration.
so they cobbled together a bunch of silly ways to make it harder to get a visa that doesn't ultimately align with their stated goal of trying to oust bad foreigners since the unruly brown types are largely unaffected and the billionaire chinese types can just tank the financial hits.
as with everything, japs half-assed it and ended up just creating more bureaucratic hoops to jump through instead of meaningful change.

All of you travel to Japan hoping to find a Japanese wife the reality is many of you wont succeed thats the harsh truth especially now that the Japanese are fed up with tourists i spoke with a Japanese woman and she said that learning English is more difficult for them luckily i dont speak English but i know i wont have much luck with Japanese women either there is too much competition these days especially now that traveling to Japan is so popular
>>
>>2879015
>All of you travel to Japan hoping to find a Japanese wife
That's a broad generalization.
I go there to do anime pilgrimages, drink Strong Zero, and rip cigs inside. I'm a more refined degenerate than the coomers that post here.
>>
Do I have to have return plane ticket when I come to Japan? Do they ever check this?
>>

if u have blond hair blue eyes and speak japanese japanese women are free
