Currently looking for a decent safari experience since I have never done one, also looking for a decent africa experience since I have only touched it for egipt. Kenya seems the most accessible / cheapest option. Is it worth visiting? Or it's an overexploited tourist hell hole now days? Tanzania and Mozambique are also usually recommended even if less developed. As alternative I have heard good things about zambia and madagascar but both seem a pain in the ass to reach from europe. Extra points for cool diving spots, I know there are good spots for whale sharks around that coast. I'm clueless about that part of the world so all recommendations will be useful.
just visit nairobi and go to the giraffe centre, you can start from there, we are about to have our winter so i don't know about going out on safari this time of year

Whenever you go, look into whether Serengetti in Tanzania or Masai Mara is better at that time of year, since the herds rotate between them based on the time of year. But the safari parks aren't great. You will see some antelopes and probably elephants, but nothing like what you'll see in safaris elsewhere. Don't go to Uganda for the safaris.
>>2879577Tanzania is a pretty decent country in Africa. Gives you the opportunity to a safari and if you're willing to travel by boat, you could also visit Zanzibar. That's a pretty decent version of what you would get if you went to the Caribbean but with less tourists just due to how far it is from the USA. For diving spots, there's two I can think of for Tanzania that are on Zanzibar. Kizimkazi for the coral reefs and possibly seeing dolphins and Mnemba Atoll for sea turtles. Whale sharks you'll want to try and visit the country between October to March. I heard people have spotted them at Mafia Marine Park.
