The only bad thing I can say about Thai people in general, is that they continue to allow a dictatorship to steal from them. I think most Thai people are great to be around. Some are shady.
>>
>>2883312
They are all shady. That's the Thai culture. Lying cheating scamming. The accent is disgusting too.
They charge more for a beer in some filthy third world pub than they do in any first world country and when they have a coup d'etat for some reason their currency value GOES UP
>>
>>2883313
I agree with the lying. That's all of Asia. Asians say more lies throughout the day than truths, except for Christians. Asians have to believe that there's some all mighty power that hears and sees everything that they do, to believe that's there consequences for their actions. It's not a continent to visit for more than a few days.
>>

Yeah good for a holiday but after a few weeks it does my head in anywhere in SEA except Vietnam was fine when I went for a month. They don't lie they are pretty upfront about wanting your money and not giving a fuck about you
Philippines is the worst you can ask ten cunts for directions and they'll give ten different answers instead of simply saying they don't know they just make some shit up instead because in their culture lying is completely fine and if they say they don't know or say no, they are embarassed

95% of indians in Thailand are engaged in some sort of immigration scam/fraud.

It is not possible for a thai woman to love a farang. She is an extension of her family with a pussy attached to it as a lure for paypigs. That is all.

>visa changes
So, wait let me understand this, my cunt is on the list of cuts so trying to make sure I got this down
>visa free went from 60 to 30 days
>can't enter more than twice in a calendar year
>you can extend with purchase but to 60 day visa
>if you extend the 60 day visa you forfeit the ability to return for that year(?)

Do I have that right? Not terrible for the cost of a 60 day visa being about 35 euro but this kinda kills the reason to have thailand on the list of SEA countries to cycle through.

I heard romurs this is due to abuse by Indian and China workers basically starting illegal businesses in the country using visa runs to "manage" them. I find it odd because here in bangkok all the signs for 1 year in Thailand and welcoming influencers.

For those living cheap in SEA what's the situation like in Malaysia? Seems they have 90 day visa free policy.

Also, what happens to the lads here already over 30 days? do they get just told to fuck off or can they stay their intended 60 days? Asking for a friend
>>
>>2883368
Your time allowed is calculated upon passing the immigration gate. If you were approved for 60 days, then it stays 60 days.
>>
Guess I'll just re enter the kingdom right before it goes into effect.
>>
>>2883305
Fucking hell, you're right. The Thai government just cut the visa exemption down to 30 days. News source says the measures will come into effect 15 days after announcement in the country's official gazette.

My flight from Kathmandu to Bangkok is 18 days from now, and I planned to stay 38 days in the country before flying from Bangkok to Los Angeles. Fingers crossed Thai immigration still gives me sixty days visa-exempt as a burger. If not, I'm going to boogie over to the Cambodian border and spend 30 days in Cambodia, returning to Thailand for my departure flight.
>>2883312
Thailand is corrupt, but the government still gets shit done better than many other Asian countries in the tropical latitudes. So the people are satisfied and proud of their royalist government.
>>2883311
All depends on where you are in the country. I've visited 38 of 76 Thai provinces and have found attitudes toward white guys varying hugely across the map.
>>2883313
>I went to this degen zone full of drunks and whores and fake Irish pubs
>everyone there was a dishonest scumbag, can you believe it!?
This is a judgment of you and the choices you make, not of the Thai people.
>>2883317
>except for Christians
LOL, LMAO even. The truth is that a fool will always attract dishonest people seeking to part him from his money. I did not find Thais to be dishonest as a general rule. Very few instances of dishonesty in all my travels across the country. Thais actually like travelers who are just passing through; they seem more negative toward migrant bums who want to settle down in Thailand and pretend like they belong there.
>>2883368
>can't enter more than twice in a calendar year
That's only applicable to land border entries, which are discouraged by Thai immigration for third-country foreigners. It's up to the immigration officer to decide whether he wants you in his country or not. Of course, if you got a visa exemption stamp valid for 60 days, no rule change is going to affect that.

Malaysia has 90 days visa free but it has many unspoken issues. There is a high amount of social retardation you haven't seen anywhere else. Malaysian women, by and large, are fat, ugly, and mean to "strangers". This is a hurdle that can be overcome but the learning curve is steep. Whatever your feelings about indians, Thailand has no responsibility to be the poverty tourism destination for a country with 1 billion people. It already has enough issues with international crime. Don't take her back to your hotel. Your hotel room should be a safe space, don't want complete strangers knowing where to rob you. Use a short time/love hotel. Thailand is a safe place generally; but it's good practice to keep a small surface area when engaging in vice there.

Yes you are. Beach towns in Thailand are tourist areas by definition. Otherwise how else would there be freaking bungalows for rent? Do a search for hotels, and you will see that every single beach in Thailand has tourist accomodations.

Of course you could stay in one of the shitty fishing villages which are India-tier dirty and dilapidated. But they don't give a fuck about education, only fishing and drinking.

Never, ever touch "le cute heckin doggarinos!!!" in any country. Those dogs change their mood based on the time on day. They're worn out and tired in the mid day sun and don't move around. But they'll bite strangers who touch them because they just want to rest. At night and in the morning, when it's cool, those dogs roam around and hunt whatever they can find. They do bite people. When a couple dogs get together, they revert to wolf mode and will get the confidence to take down adults. And sometimes dogs will hide in the corners while using another dog to lure an idiot out to pet them.

Another thing is that rabies rots a dog's brain, and there's no way to know if a dog has rabies until the very end stages when it's foaming at the mouth and at the verge of death. But rabid dogs will wag their tail and be friendly one second, then instantly want to kill you. They're no different from methheads.

The only locals sitting around and petting strays are the ones feeding them every day so they've gradually earned the dog's trust. Even then, when I was in Malaysia (not Thailand but same shit), some old man was chilling with a dog and told me to come over and let him. He fed the dog every day so he knew it was friendly, or so he said. Then he reached down and the dog snapped down on his hand. The irony was funny to me, but it cemented in my mind that you really can't trust them. Being chased by a group of them a year later in a different place just made my opinion of them even worse. They're a nuisance, and those dogs kill thousands of people throughout Asia every year. Mostly through rabies, but sometimes by tearing children or grandmas apart because those people somehow unknowingly triggered them while walking by and doing nothing at all.

Yet tourists always try to pet them, thinking they're different and friendly doggos would never hurt them. They just bite bad people. Then they end up needing to get rabies shots.

>>2883886
>"le cute heckin doggarinos!!!"

Beach farangs are very widely distributed in Thailand. You will encounter random white people everywhere there is a nice beach, because that's what white people idolize. Sand and waves and palm trees. Best bet to avoid whites is to go to the crappy dirty beach towns, but even there you will find alcoholic farangs looking to live cheap with the locals.
>>2883847
And prices in the beachy parts of the country are higher than in the northern and northeastern interior by a significant margin, particularly for lodging.
>>2883886
Some places it's thug life with the dog packs. They attack humans to prove their alpha status in the pack. When you're being menaced by a pack, always pick out the leader and target it for retribution in an unpredictable and startling manner. Once the leader turns tail, the more timid members of the pack will only bark from a distance and won't do shit.

Dogs have body language just like humans. If you're paying attention, their aggression will rarely ever catch you by surprise, because you can see the signs of a mean/rabid nature in their posture, the way they look at you, etc. However, an entire pack jumping up from rest to menace you while you pedal past on a bicycle is still very unnerving and difficult to deal with. Carrying a long stick may be your only reliable defense.

Going to a love hotel means you just bring only the cash you need and your phone. Worse case you only lose those things and can return to your place where the REALLY valuable stuff (your passport, debit/credit cards, clothes ect) are obscured from a crime of opportunity.

>the thais seems retared and backwards workers. I wonder if this is the same for Vietnamese
I worked at a Vietnamese company for a year as the only foreigner, they have a resource curse around the fact that because labor is so cheap they use it very inefficiently, hiring enough people for the absolute peak busy times and just having them sit around all other times (6 days a week) since they're paid on a monthly salary, not hourly. Obviously the workers end up bored to tears and unmotivated.
>>
>>2884295
A beer in some filthy third world shit hole pub is 200 to 250 baht around lower Sukhumvit for a bottled beer
Pushing 10 Aussie dollars. I can drink at a pub in the most expensive city on earth cheaper than that

>they have a resource curse around the fact that because labor is so cheap they use it very inefficiently, hiring enough people for the absolute peak busy times and just having them sit around all other times (6 days a week) since they're paid on a monthly salary, not hourly.
See, it's shit like this that I've seen everywhere in SEA and it always makes me wonder how easy it is to come up with a more competitive model. I went to a restaurant in Danang called bikini bottom or something and it was one of the most popular places in the area. They were even so successful that they opened 2 more restaurants. To no ones surprise, they are owned by western foreigners...
>>
>>2884300
>around lower Sukhumvit for a bottled beer
Not sure if that place is a meme now but that's where I was drinking the other day. Thought it was a one off "yeah I went to the place with the english menu being advertised lol" gotcha for tourists. Maybe Chiang Mai is different, but most of BK is fucking off it's rocker. These are fucking yank prices for beer tip and all.
>>
>>2884286
I felt a pretty significant difference in danang just from being there a year prior and going back. It's mind boggling how quickly even more westerners amble around.
>>2884240
>it only gets worse from here
Keep going back to places and watch it happen almost in real time. Everything is going to shit so fast. RIGHT NOW.
>>
>>2884325
I went to Danang just after lockdowns ended it was so amazingly good and there were only annoying Koreans there. Now if you go to the beach it's 99 percent whites and prices have sky rocketed for everything
I'm just glad I got to travel the entirety of Vietnam over 2 months while it was still amazing. It won't be good for much longer the amount of money china is pouring into it is crazy
>>
>>2884325

I will show you that I will be the person, who won‘t lol

I do plan to pay money to fuck, but honestly I don’t know how that works. Will I go to a bar, sit down and some girls approaches me until I give her ladydrinks and then ask for shorttime? What if she just wants drinks and not fuck?
>>
>>2884390
Think of the drinks as a way for you to break the ice. They don't make much money from drinks so their primary goal is for you to take them out. If they don't like you, they might try to milk you for drinks anyway so make sure to sniff out their intentions within 1 or 2 drinks.
>>
>>2884394
So what‘s the benefit of these bar girls compared to these so called freelancers?
>>
>>2884300
Bangkok is loaded with people who frivolously throw away large sums of money, but it also has a lot of poor people. I've never seen a city with so much variety in pricing from one establishment or stall to another.
>>2884390
Of course you can just say "no" and nothing will happen. The boldest bargirls are usually uggos or hags. They will latch onto a guy with low self-esteem and try to boost his ego with flattering attention and some touching. They are pretty good at it, but every time you look at her face you see an Isan hog, so that may ruin your interest. If you're not feeling horny, don't bring her back to your room hoping that things will change once you are both naked. You'll be setting yourself up for an expensive and disappointing experience. BTW the girls watch your pecker to see if you're actually interested.
>>2884394
You break the ice and get friendly before you buy her a drink. If she approaches you saying "hey, can you buy me a drink?" don't be a sucker who instantly reaches for his wallet. You're going to feel so rejected when she turns away to joke and laugh with some boomer regular as soon as she finishes the drink you bought her.
>>
>>2884409
Freelancers are a better deal overall because you don't have to pay a bar fine. You can chat up some lady in a dating app and she'll be at your room in under one hour. But part of the fun with bar girls is being able to drink, flirt, and play games whether it leads to the bedroom or not.
>>
>>2884409
>So what‘s the benefit of these bar girls compared to these so called freelancers?
vs online girls - you get to see them in person first and make sure there's chemistry before hiring them
vs streetwalkers - the difference is like between uber vs taxis, bar girls work somewhere that holds them accountable against outright scamming/theft
If you're inexperienced and don't want to take the risks of dealing with random unknown women of the night then bar girls and full service massage shops are pretty foolproof ways to find action

I love the hot weather. Part of the reason why I wanted to move away from Atlanta was because it's cold like 3 or 4 months out of the year. Thailand is too hot sometimes but my body is still growing more tolerant after a year. I can walk outside at 31 C (88 F) and under without breaking a sweat.
>>
>>2884610
Never once did anyone get mad at me for smoking weed in Thailand, because I was a considerate person who didn't blow clouds of smoke into densely populated places or inside a room. I also smoke a pipe which is one hit at a time. Very efficient usage of weed when compared to a blunt, which puts off an endless stream of smoke.

It's just like urinating. If you whip out your pecker and start pissing away in somebody's taxi or on the sidewalk, people are going to get very butthurt. So have some common goddamn courtesy and step into the bushes, or some other area where nobody's gonna have to see or smell anything.

Okay, this is my first time going to Thailand. I’ve done a lot of SEA before but I’ve always been too autistic to try out any of the dating scene. Got about 5 days in Samui, 5 in Bangkok.

Is it possible to get a low stakes date for a few days that isn’t with a prostitute? I have too much shame to go that far, and I’m young and nonspergy enough to be able to handle a date. Just want a pretty girl I can chat to, take out for dinner, spend the night with. Should I use Thaiconnect? Tinder? How does this work?
>>

>>
>>2885958
It's possible but difficult with 5 days only, you can be just out of luck when you bet on a wrong horse and she will be busy or not willing to speed things up. Maybe you can try passport mode on tinder, that will buy you some time.
>>
>>2885958
Possible? Sure. But why? The short travel fling is why guys go for pros around the world and throughout history.

The other problem is that over a decade into OLD, even third world ladies have gotten smart to tourists trying to hit and quit. I don't think it's necessarily ethical to have a fling with no strings attached, while flirting as if this isn't just a fling to get a girl into bed.

Isan is the most drab and impoverished region of Thailand, which is why your post is getting very little attention. So far I have only passed through the Isan region by train. It was cheap, only $22 per day average spending, and I did have weed to smoke. But the dogs were often hostile, and the people couldn't give a single fuck. Poverty results in worse customer service, not better service BTW. This time of year it is scorching hot as well; walking long distances in this heat is for fools.

How we goin in Thailand folks? Havin a good time?
>>
>>2886251
It is only one metric.
First of all, do they greet you when you walk into the restaurant and say "hello", or do they just give you a look? Do they tell you what they are serving if it is a small place with no menu, or do they just stand there sullenly? Impoverished parts of countries tend to have many lazy people who hate working. Even if they have a restaurant, they'd rather sit staring at their phone than get up to cook a meal for a foreigner. I'm not saying that all of Isan is like this. Some of the best meals I've had in Thailand were in Isan. Ex bargirls go back home to open a business, they will give you special attention for being white and then try to slip a surcharge into the bill.
>>

Why is this important?

>>2886407
Leaving today for Thailand. Spending a couple of days in Bangkok. If any anons want to meet for a beer just say hi.

You should just get a girl from a go-go bar. Find one that is nice to talk to and who likes you, and you can keep her as temporary gf for your whole stay. She'll be happy to show you around and go to places with you, and keep your peepee happy at night. Install the Line app if you don't have it already, it's what everyone uses for messaging.

I have a girl that I picked up from a go-go bar a few years ago and have her contact. I just message her whenever I'm in Thailand and it's easy and guaranteed and fun times. She's retired from being a bar girl but because she likes me she still is happy to meet.

Visa restrictions that kicked in make a 5-6 month stay not worth it. Most countries are now at a 30 day limit with the ability to extend to 60 days, so not sure what anon is going to be doing. PH is basically apply online for an extention online, show up pay the ~35 dollar fee, get 29 more day stamp. You can easily do a 6 month stint without much/any issue

>>2886241
I also preferred Udorn Thani, it was more jovial and easygoing than Khon Kaen. Out of 38 provinces I've visited in Thailand, Khon Kaen was one of the least friendly, up there with Kanchanaburi (though I did meet kind folks in both provinces, most people were rude or unfriendly). Khao Suan Kwang was my favorite town in Khon Kaen. Ban Phai was a hostile shithole with unpredictably aggressive street dogs. One of the shop dogs laying in the street outside pretended to be peaceful, then when I failed to look back and double-check it snuck up and bit me in the heel. Not hard, but enough to piss me off. Mueang Phon was also kind of a shithole, with a swampy lake on the edge of town. You will see a lot of white boomers with middle-aged Isan wives throughout the region.

I genuinely question how big the audience for that is. The richest gogo queens tend to go for a voluptuous enhanced bimbo look, not something that could be construed as even looking underage. And I think that speaks to where the money is in the coomer market. The same holds true for the big OF chicks.

No of course not and seriously, I didn’t even see a hint of that going on, though tbf I didn’t go to many seedy areas. But way more teenage girls dress like hookers in America than in Thailand. I’m sure some fucked up shit goes on behind closed doors, maybe more so than in most countries, but I still think the pedo shit is an exaggerated stereotype. Or maybe, as I was speculating, an outdated one.

There is no more slow season in Bangkok. It's crowded with tourists year-round. Agoda told me 48% of properties are fully booked two days out. I paid 575 baht or $17.70 USD for a standard double room at a very pleasant three-star resort near the place where the free shuttle picks up the airport wagies every five minutes. Very convenient for my 5 PM arrival.

Man, compared to Nepal, Thailand has such a limited selection of rooms. Part of it is geography; Thailand is a vast plain of low-density sprawl, while Nepal's development is constrained into small areas where everything is close to everything else.

First place in provincial Thailand that caught my attention was the area around Khao Phra Baht railway station, because it has both untouristed coastline and a 280 meter tall mountain nearby with a trail leading to the summit. The train departs a station near BKK airport at 7:16 AM and arrives at 10:07 AM, which will leave me with four hours of loafing around until I can check in. It looks like the kind of cool place that foreigners rarely visit because they only ride the non-stop bus to Pattaya to be around all the other foreigners and say "whoa, there are so many foreigners here!"

Japan is a cheap country. For 30 years everyone kept saying how it's too expensive to visit. Those people had never been. Hotels not as cheap as Thailand but food and drink definitely. The strong baht is crushing tourism
>>
>>2887442
What are the cheapest areas that are still nice to visit? Because I imagine like anywhere there are cheaper and more expensive areas.
>>
>>2887439
Closer, but japan is still more expensive for most things. With rent, food, transportation, and activities, you'll pay 25% more in Japan approximately. Bangkok can easily be done under $1,500 a month. That's a lot harder of a budget to live on in Tokyo.

I spent two months there last year. I was working most of the time from my apartment, but I still fit in a massage a week, gym membership, mostly convention store food with occasional food deliveries, uber scooter/subway, and a few temple visits for around that per month. How did you guys navigate going to Thailand for the first time? I'm from the USA, only traveled to English speaking countries. (Canada, UK, etc.)

Like did you get some tour/travel guide, or you winged it and figured things out as you went along? Basic things like transportation, currencies, special manners or customs that are expected in Thailand, etc.

I realize a lot of that can be researched online but I feel like the most efficient route would be with a guide of some sort. At least for the first couple weeks or so

Thai attitudes over the past ten years have dropped dramatically
They always used to despise us but now even more so than ever. Land of smiles surely no longer exists. What needs to happen is another COVID situation where the people were starving to death with zero tourists coming in and prices for everything dropped back to where they should always be (all bars were selling 39b beers basically cost price) restaurants had 99b menus and miscellaneous was 500b
>>
>>2887456
That's the price difference between patronizing hotels & restaurants as a leisure traveler versus renting a monthly cuckbox room and laboring over a hotplate every evening for dinner. My overall Asia travel expenditures are virtually identical on a daily average basis to what I was spending to live in America.
>>2887465
Compare apples to apples. First World tier experiences in Japan versus Thailand, i.e. indoor dining in a tastefully decorated setting. You get fucking reamed for that experience in Bangkok. In Japan it's the norm.
>>2887485
It's rare to see a tourist traveling Thailand with a local friend, much rarer than in other Asian countries at least. BTW you have two ears, two eyes, but only one mouth. Look and listen 4x more than you speak. Try to patronize businesses who welcome you. Often you only need to be able to say the name of the dish you want to eat in order to get it cooked up for you. My pronunciation is awful, so I don't even try to speak a word of Thai because it makes people butthurt. If they completely ignore you when you step inside and the cooking setup is cold, better to walk back out instead of trying to demand service like an oblivious touristfag.
>>2887533
$1500 is only $25 per night for a room if you practice the 50% rule. Many Bangkok rooms are more than that these days.
>>
>>2887566
All those nice motorbikes and constant dining out costs a lot of money for the locals. Tired, overworked, unhappy wagies have become the norm. I wouldn't say they despise customers, you just mean nothing to them, and they've realized that nobody is paying them extra to smile and say kapun khap, so why do it? It's a tiresome performative ritual. American boomers also complain about the lack of smiles and thank yous from cashiers and waiters back in America. Gen Z doesn't want to fake emotions for random strangers 100x a day, it's too draining.

Even though the old owner-operated businesses in Thailand are often Third World tier, the service is much better on average because your business is putting money directly in the pocket of the person who is serving you. Wagies, they couldn't care less. Nearly all businesses in tourist areas are run by wagies BTW.

The reason why prices are dramatically rising in Bangkok is because the 5 years loans given to covid-desperate small businesses and private citizens in 2022 by kike banks are soon to be reeled in, so they are trying to pay off what they can in the last few months. In 2027-28 there will be another money crisis as 1 million Thais default on the loans and lose their real estate and another 2 million just go bankrupt.

GUESS WHO'S BACK IN THAI TOWN WITH A 60 DAY VISA EXEMPTION STAMP AND A LOVELY FIFTH FLOOR ROOM WITH A SECLUDED BALCONY FOR SMOKING LE WEED LMAO

Stepped on board the wrong shuttle bus at the airport. They asked for a ticket. Strange, the local airport shuttle is free. Then I noticed my mistake and said "thank you for alerting me". The guys at the ticket stand were happy to be appreciated for helping out a bumbling foreigner. Where are all these bad attitudes /trv/ loves to rant about? Are the complainers just a bunch of fucking unkempt slobs or something?

All the ladies behind the counter giving me the Sawadee kha greeting as soon as I walk in the door. One of them a very petite cutie in a fashionable top was particularly attentive and kind. The housekeeping staff hurried to fix my A/C remote as soon as they noticed it wasn't working right. What a contrast to the shitshow that has been the last six months in South Asia, where some lazy pajeet slowly gets up from loafing on the couch when I ask for a room. Where everything's broken and nobody gives a fuck about making it right.

The levels of discipline are soooo much higher here than in South Asia. It's so nice to be around people who are considerate of others and proud of quality in business instead of only thinking of themselves.

>No Smoking in the Room: 2000 baht fine
>There is an ashtray, a counter, and a sink with running water on the fifth floor balcony
Go to a multi-story hotel with no elevator, only stairs. Ask for a high floor. Keep the stuff on the balcony. Turn off your A/C if you want to smoke in peace, because the compressor is always right over your head. Thai outdoor grown hits harsh, because they've prioritized overstrength, addictive marketable genetics over 1.5% THC, harmless indigenous weed that you can literally rip 30 bong bowls of in a day and just say "whoa man, I'm feeling really drunk and high right now" while laughing a lot about the ironies of life with your friends.

These Thai genetics are for dissociating. Bad to have when walking in traffic along a busy road. It almost made me have a panic heart attack, especially this one time when riding a bicycle on a busy road in Nan province after ripping a Thai dispensary bong twice. See, nobody honks in Thailand. South Asian drivers are assholes, but you can sense they are coming because they make so much noise. Traffic has begun yielding to pedestrians in Bangkok, Lat Krabang at least. Somebody must've gotten run over by a careless driver and a mob did the needful.

BTW 95% of the people entering Thailand on a foreign passport looked to be Asians. Only 5% were Whites. But now it's monsoon, and the overcast skies bring sticky relief from the sun's heat. Flying ants love to swarm after rains; they are fierce fliers and eat the shit flies, which explains why pests disappear when flying ants proliferate (and become pests themselves with their attraction to having orgy battles around night-market lightbulbs. My room was only 84 F when I arrived, but around 85% humidity. The A/C drops it to 81 F and 49% humidity within a half hour.

I spent $33 USD today on the four life basics in Thailand: room, food, drink and smoke. If I had gotten one of those tourist cellphone plans for 30 days, I would've spent $70, and the week would've topped $200. But I will go without signal until I can figure out if anyone is still willing to register a 199 baht data-limited SIM card in my name instead of the unlimited tourist ripoff. If not, then WiFi will have to suffice. That means spending more on hotels that have reliable WiFi (and high-floor balconies too, kekek)

No dipshit, I left an international airport and enjoyed my first evening in Bangkok. I had 250 mL passion fruit juice and a pork rice dish to go and a beef and cheese hamburger (made with homemade beef patty) and also three KFC style drumsticks. Plus six grams of weed and a bottle of beer and a tiny can of Coke. And a nice hotel room.

Quality divided by price equals satisfaction. A feeling I only experienced in very occasional episodes in South Asia. Of course I know my shit here in Bangkok. Lat Krabang is a very high quality part of the city, but also among the most affordable. It is also remarkably friendly and polite. The whole night market was just an echoing of quiet greetings called out by stall owners when somebody would look at what they were offering. It signals that they are paying attention to your wishes and willing to serve you if you want to be served.

I paid nothing to leave BKK airport and get to my hotel, but rode in A/C buses most of the way, walking only half a km. No other tourists know my hack, from what I've seen. Having a small backpack and duffel as luggage makes it possible for a lanklet to stand against the wall, place the duffel behind your feet and take up no more room than a fat person. So the local wagies weren't butthurt either.
>>2887892
Spending $38 on a freaking SIM card that dies after one month is what's ridiculous. The local SIM card + plan costs less than a single ATM withdrawal fee; the price is comparable to tourist plans sold in all other Asian countries I have visited, except Taiwan. (Taiwan's mobile plan was 1000 TWD).

25/night is 750/mo which will score you a very decent place in BKK/CM, most 2.5 star places are ~10-15/night. I stayed in a fourth-floor airbnb apartment in an old neighborhood of Bangkok with a filthy pigeon shit-covered rooftop for smoking weed. There was no key provided and no lock on the door. I got drunk and then ripped a bong and then tried to enter the third floor apartment. The door was locked, and it took me a few minutes to realize why. Once I walked away, a petite Asian girl opened the door and stood looking at me questioningly, like she wasn't sure if I was one of her online simps paying a visit. I said "my bad" and continued upstairs.

Lat Krabang is full of e-thots who have tons of money to spend on coffees, dining out, live music, etc. They wear very expensive outfits for their simps, who evidently pay good money to watch her slurp down a bowl of noodles while she talks to you...over the phone.

I ordered a beer from the display case, which was warm, and then panicked when they began going to open it, thinking that some scam was happening. The beer price was 65. That's 7-Eleven price, and you had a place at the night market to drink it. This is the same night market that has the good 3 gram / 100 baht weed openly for sale.
>>2887933
I am an honorary brown. I spit phlegm on storm drains (which nobody in Lat Krabang does, they all have smooth throats for some reason). I will walk 2 km just to piss in the wild shrubbery under the endless stream of landing airplanes and then walk back home, with the night manager thinking I am glazed in sweat from some other kind of exertion.

Bangkok keeps writing its own story, and so does all of this country. I got the 199 baht 30 day "locals only" SIM BTW.

Yes, it's all about location. Most people want to step outside and have a busy stimulating boulevard to walk along. They don't want to have to ride a metro or taxi for half an hour just to dine out. Your property is located across the river in a far-flung residential area. $16 per night goes down to $13 when you book an entire month. Pretty typical rates for an undesirable location in Bangkok.

You can get a basic A/C room for 300 baht in the boonies, but maintenance is usually neglected at that price point, and WiFi is nearly worthless. Thai-tier fan rooms are cheaper, 200 baht or less per night.

Okay there are plenty around Lumphini station and the convention center for about the same price.

You mean you want ugly hags to ask you for attention

Girls here like my hairstyle, that's why they are surprisingly friendly. They don't like the typical white guys with the shaved heads or the hair swept back in the "muh alpha male" style. But they happily fuck those guys for money, and they only give me quizzical looks for a split second. Rarely do they look a second time.

They're not hags, but they are very Chinese looking, with a lot of Chinese phenotypes. Many of them work at the airport, which pours a never-ending stream of money into the neighborhood.

No bro you don't understand, if you don't like what I like then you're banging ugly whores. Stop traveling according to your own shitty taste.

Rookie here, what to do in Bangkok late June? Going for a four day trip. Obviously gonna coom a bit but I'd like to not just be a full on degen. Staying near Nana Plaza.

That's what you're going to do, so you might as well embrace it. Everywhere else in the city will be too boring for you.

I'm going next week for the first time

Not gonna lie bros I'm worried. I'm excited at the prospect of cooming but the risk of HIV scares me to the point I'm afraid I will be too anxious to either get a hooker or even if I do and use a condom I'll just sit there and worry afterwards

People with a natural full head of hair don't post "they like my hairstyle". That's 40y/o Turkye lookin good ladies talk for baldies

Welcome to my world man. I was actually at one of the soapies but realised I didn't have enough dosh and left. It was a blessing really, as I recognised I'd be insanely paranoid over STDs. Then I ended up deciding not to hooker until i gave my absolute best shot at getting a gf.

STDs are a meme. Wear a condom with ladyboys for HIV. Optional with women because chances of getting HIV from pussy are super low and other STDs are memes.
>>
So, how's the oil situation?
>>
>>2888438
many ladyboys are on prep now as well so even harder to catch something
>>
>>2888474
nigga i'm paranoid about the regular girls, never mind the ladyboys, what sources are anons even talking about for low transmission rate
>>
whats the going rate for decent bar girls these days in Bangkok
>>
>>2888474
Yeah totally but you should never put your faith in a hooker. Cover your own bases. I'm saying most STDs are memes but I'll still insist on a rubber for anal (top or bottom, both of which feel good man).

I always use condoms and I don't fuck whores I fuck Ladyboys who work office jobs
