there is one street near neruda's house that's the party street in santiago. you might try that one. stay clear of the terremoto tho. it tastes like shit. do try some chilean pisco

I was there for 2 days. I went to San Cristobal hill (lots of neat stuff + cable car to the top), cenco costanera (largest mall in south america), went on a wine tour at cousiño macul vineyard, the precolombian museum, and walked around the plaza de armas of course.
Lots of people recommended I go to the bahai temple which is supposed to be really cool and have the best view of the city, but I didn't have time for it.
