>few months back /trv/ thread about getting jacked on the cheap abroad>everyone seems to be a gym bro saying thailand>finally in Thailand for a while>Preworkout, and supplements more than in the USA >whey is (most places start at 1,299B for off brand mystery powder)>gyms often are less equipped I mean they are fine but they remind me of planet fatass smith machines and weight caps>need to get some calories+protein to get over 200lbs and not be skeleton mode>okay I'll just go get some of food from the store and prep>end up finding some decent deals in the AM at TOPS for ~8oz of chicken for like 4 bucks >costs more than buying and making bulk in USA>... well everyone comments the street food is good and where the deals are>50-60 bhat for what is essentially 50g of chicken/pork/"beef" meaning I am paying about 2 bucks for 14g of protein>any sizable dish is easily ~10 dollars or 300 bhat starting usually still loaded with 0 net cal veggies or just plain carbsWhat the fuck gives? Sure the rent here is cheap but anything for a gym focus is actually fucking insanely stupidly priced no wonder everyone's a twig here. Everyone posting made it sound like they were total gymrats and this place was a hidden gym. Why did this place get so much praise? I leave in a couple weeks and my gains are mid at best even though my gym routine is solid I am spending insane amounts on food to hit calorie and protein goals. Is this place full of DYEL's who think as long as they aren't walshart hogs they are /fit/?
>>2886463you got rugged by muay thai larpers
>>2886475Yeah probably, that or anons just using "going to get fit in thailand it's great" as cover for gooning. What a waste I could have just bulked at home.>>2886487I'm not doing HGH, roids, etc. You're just asking for a bad time after you go off them, doing mainly natty of preworkout+supplement packs+creatine. I thought based off the posts anons made, I was getting easy cheap protein and good macros with top tier gyms. What I got was basically, cheap rent with overpriced meals and supplements.
>>2886491>What I got was basically, cheap rent with overpriced meals and supplements.Everywhere has strategies and shit. If you stay there long enough maybe you can figure out more. But if the gym nearest you is shitty there's not much you can do
>>2886463>this place was a hidden gymImagine anyone claiming Thailand is hidden anything. Fucking lol
did you seriously go to another country just to be a gymrat? The only reason people advice thailand for that is because of the steroids easily available and you're not even doing that...retard
>>2886586>The only reason people advice thailand for that is because of the steroids easily available and you're not even doing that...Are people on this board actually doing steroids for ~months then cold turkey off of them on this board? Holy lol no wonder this place has a test and balding problem, also enjoy your stretch marks lmao
>>2886730>enjoy your stretch marks lmaoWhy would I care, I'm not a teenage girl?
>>2886733Because nothing looks worse that you faked it to make it than stretch marks that basically won't go away until you hit that previous body type. Roids make that near unachievable, among other side-effects, so ou're stuck with ugly ass lines.
>>2886733I know a dude who does all the TRT and psychedelics, any chemical le hecking science tells him to try.I check in on his reddit account every so often. He tried to get off of it and fell into a deep depression. He had start taking it again. Imagine becoming dependent on pills for something your body can produce naturally.
>>2887194This>DYEL does a stack for 6-8 months>absolutely mogging>goes off the stack>30-45 days later>barely keeping up at the gym looks like a plastic melty man>has to constantly go back on some stack trying to get the looks back>all seem to look like they age +5 years min when they take itNatty might not be fast but it's objectively better overall
>>2887194TRT = HRTNever listen to roidtrannies
Who tf works out without stereotypes
>thailandlollmao even
>>2886463>>2886463>>gyms often are less equipped I mean they are fine but they remind me of planet fatass smith machines and weight capsI have to pay almost $100 a month for a "fancy" gym that's overrun with DYEL Thais and a bunch of personal trainers. My $15 per month gym in America was much better. Unfortunately that's just how it is here.>>2886463>>end up finding some decent deals in the AM at TOPS for ~8oz of chicken for like 4 bucks>>50-60 bhat for what is essentially 50g of chicken/pork/"beef" meaning I am paying about 2 bucks for 14g of proteinI love having my gf cook me loads of this pre-sliced pork loins from Lotus's. It's lean, tasty, and works out to less than 10 thb per 14 grams per protein. I go through one of these 500 gram bags daily to help me hit my daily protein goal.Eating out is almost always paying too much for small portions and/or shit quality. I just avoid it.
>>2888707People who don't want to basically be addicted to having to stay on them to keep up the muscle, don't want to age 10 years from being on them, or have their balls shrivel up. Sure you're not going to look Zyzz mode, but if you gym properly with basic supplements(good multi vitamin, creatine, Lecithin, etc) you'll be fine. If you want to raise test a bit for gym, just get some Horny Goat Weed.>>2893512>1lbs pork>thin sliced so going to be a lot of water weight>4 USDFuck if people think that's a deal, you can get a Lion preseasoned for that. If you doing mind doing a big boy of 3-5lbs you can get it for like 2lbs.>I go through one of these 500 gram bags daily to help me hit my daily protein goal. You're protein intake is ~120g? So you weigh under 140lbs?Anon I.... Who's the DYEL you talk about?
>>2893554Did you miss the part where I wrote that it HELPs me hit my daily protein goals? Each of those packs is filled with about 100 grams of protein. I aim for 175 grams per day from pork/chicken, eggs, egg whites, and protein shakes. These are some of my lifting reps. Let's see yours if you even lift!
>>2893512>I have to pay almost $100 a month for a "fancy" gym that's overrun with DYEL>>2893557you fit right in lol
Samefag weakling says I fit in with the Thais. Ah, my ego!
>>2893557> I aim for 175 grams per day from pork/chicken, eggs, egg whites, and protein shakes. For the workout routine you posted? This doesn't add up unless you're like 5'5. If you are actually doing what your routine, is that what your goals are or what you hit? Because 175g a day in protein for that doesn't make any sense. That's essentially 500g of pork + 2 scoops of any reliable protein powder, even the shitty muscletech crap you get in BKK is like 24G protein per serving; which would bring you to about 170.
>>2893627that's viable if he's like 70kg
>>2893632Which makes his workout routine completely impossible/near impossible due to simply lacking bone density to do so.Anon would need to be 4'11-5'3(maybe 5'5) to do most of those listed.>140kg x5 Not if you're 70kg lol, especially not doing all those in ~1hr.The body mass and intake is not math'ing.
>>2893560If we take the 1g/pp rule of thumb, anon is 175. However, the workout schedule and routine he posted once you factor in muscle mass and weight means he has to be pretty short. Since I have nothing to go off of here, other than what people at my gym look like, anon can't be taller than 5'8 and probably isn't shorter than 5'5. If he is any taller than 5'8" with that body weight + workout. If anon is taller than 5'8-5'10, he must be counting some zoomie broccoli hair cut in because he can't be over 6'0 @ 175. If he is doing 175 as anything but a manlet he's got to be losing muscle mass or not actually doing his workout routine truthfully. This also assumes anon is male obviously, but you never know.tl;dr anon is most likely ~5'6-5'7 if what he says is true.
>>2893635>140kg x5>Not if you're 70kg lol, especially not doing all those in ~1hr.you dont know his form. 5 reps of ego lifting 3 plates is possible if he's niggering his reps instead of ass to grass>>2893637>tl;dr anon is most likely ~5'6-5'7 if what he says is true.I agree, probably around 5'8 70 something kg, not cut, highish teens / ~20% bodyfat
>>2893641>you dont know his form. 5 reps of ego lifting 3 plates is possible if he's niggering his reps instead of ass to grassTrue anon is probably loading the racks, doing what feels good, and calling it a full rep. Probably planet fitness level reps.>inb4 anon just posts some random anon from /currentbody/
>>2893637>>2893641You're actually very close. I'm a little over 77 kg and 16-17% body fat.>>2893643I could probably 1rm 4 plates if I had a decent spotter. You should come spot me and rack my weights. You might actually get a decent workout :)
>>2893651>I could probably 1rm 4 plates if I had a decent spotter.4 plates of what? Yeah bro I did 4pl lift KEK (not saying it was 10kg each plate) this is a DYEL ambiguous term used.>You might actually get a decent workout :)Anon anyone can post a workout routine and then hit "did it" on their smart phone to look insane. Hell my company has idiots hit insane walking goals because they just use the BS app that assumes cellphone moving = step taken. Point is, if you aren't doing the reps properly or actually doing them at all it doesn't matter. If you're 77kg with 16% BF and you do the routine you posted in 1hr? Fuckin lol. DOUBT. Nothing wrong with posting your goals but you CLEARLY posed it as something you do daily and not being a DYEL, which is kinda stupid. Also your app is complete shit>bone (kg)>3.30If you tried to lift 140kg your arms would shatter like glass. for 3.3kg bone density you would need to be a hungry hungry skeleton.
>>2893651Is this one of those apps that asks for a picture and then guesses shit, it is isn't it.
>>2893661Now you're just trolling LOL. There's zero ambiguity if you've spent more than 3 days of your life in a weight gym. Obviously plates is referring to 20 kg (or 45 lb) plates. >If you tried to lift 140kg your arms would shatter like glass. for 3.3kg bone density you would need to be a hungry hungry skeleton.Lawd have mercy. "Bone" is referring to dry bone mass not mineral density. You're a dummy but you're funny.Come spot me bro lol>>2893667It's one of those machines that sends electric currents through your body to measure a bunch of shit. I've used it once a week over the past 3 months to get a general idea, and the results have been consistent.
>>2893668>There's zero ambiguity if you've spent more than 3 days of your life in a weight gymNever underestimate a DYEL. Which is really what you seem to be coping as my little dude. Your posts have been vague this entire time so what else is there to believe?>It's one of those machines that sends electric currents through your body to measure a bunch of shit>Lawd have mercy. "Bone" is referring to dry bone mass not mineral density. You're a dummy but you're funny.Oh man, lol. Just LOL. These only work somewhat accurately for skeletons, mostly asians who have very little BF at the start. This is DYEL mindset, there is a reason they basically aren't seen outside Asian gyms.Your bone weight for a male working out should start around 10kg. Your bone weight is going to increase as you microfracture it and simply being a male. 3.3kg is literally college woman tier, even for a 5'6 manlet 3.3kg is wayyy to low, unless you're a Pino and never got real milk growing up. You are not doing a 4pl/20kg lift with 3.3kg of bones in you dude.Legit thanks for the laugh little bro, really hammered into how correct the OP was.
>>2893651>>2893668>It's one of those machines that sends electric currents through your body to measure a bunch of shitThey are called body composition scales, and they really only work for a specific body type or frame. They are notoriously inaccurate on anything but your base weight as they guess everything based off of what resistance it registers between nodes. Outside of a simple quick check for a ballpark, where you again need a specific body type, it's useless. If you're doing this in Thailand it's probably going off algorithms for SEA people. They had them in carnivals back in the 1920's to guess your psych level or some BS.
>>2893669>Your bone weight for a male working out should start around 10kg.Whoa You're legit scientifically illiterate. Confidently wrong about something easily verified from my screenshot or a quick google search. But I'll leave you where you're at little bro. It's past my bedtime and I have some heavy lifting to do in the morning. Hit me up if you still wanna rack my 10 kg "plates" LOL>>2893674It's made by Boditrax. The company is based out of UK or France I think. My grad school gym in USA had one of these but I never tried a scan until I moved to Thailand.
>>2893651>You're actually very close. I'm a little over 77 kg and 16-17% body fat.I used to have those numbers at that weight. I went from 55kg to 77kg in the span of a couple years, but of course there was some fat so I had to cut. Cut down to 60kg, but now somewhere in the low 70s again. I got more girls being bulky than I did being slim, and I don't mind fatties so its better to be on the heavy side imo>>2893661>If you're 77kg with 16% BF and you do the routine you posted in 1hr?I had those bodyweight scales before and yeah they're bs
>>2893677Your screenshot is based off asian metrics yes, picrel. A white US male should be around 10kg. Asians DO align with your app numbers because because when you synced it up it read the machine was registered into Thailand. >"The reference value for the skeleton weight of an adult male (10.5 kg)"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29781839/So yes, even if you add the numbers in your app together you are missing 3kg minimum, body builders are going to always have heavier bone weight often up to 12.5-15kg. You are either a small browniod or a DYEL, but probably both.>it's from UKYeah and when you set these up they ask you for your country, they take the algorithm for what it "should be" there and loads those metrics. Who gives a shit where the company that made it is when the database it might be using to align with the country the scale is in. Think for 2 seconds, do you really think they wouldn't use local country metrics for a profile on these things?>My grad school gym in USA had one of these Anyone can order them Hospitals often order them in bulk because they can help confirm what a doctor is ballparking for a patient in 1 minute vs 2 hours trying to get someone fully in a tank/scan to exact measure. It's close enough to back up with eyeballing to tell someone they are fat. Every fitness community will tell you the same thing, these are useless and placebo.
>>2893668Anon if your bone weight is 3.5kg, then it's easy to extrapolate what your bone density is for any human male that isn't a midget. You would be dry wall inside.
>>2886463bump
