Don't ever go to Lisbon, the cuckbus takes like 15 minutes of driving to get to the terminal. Istanbul is pretty bad too but at least they have the excuse of a billion planes parked there

Extremely large and busy airports pretty much have to do this because of the sheer number of aircraft.

I've done them in Thailand, Argentina, and the U.S. Might have done them elsewhere too, I don't remember. Yes they're annoying. No they're not really avoidable.
