>80F and doing a hike, absolutely not helping at all
>spending 4-6 hours out and about seeing sites it gives up maybe 1-2 hours in
>actual fucking dogshit that doesn't even work
What the fuck is this shit? I even went to look at the most western stores/western isles of things. Does nowhere sell just good proper sticks of deodorant?

welcome to Asia. Fucking disaster in some countries. SoKo was the fucking worst. All I could really find were tiny ass little dribble ons in a cosmestics shop.

Not my fault you're a retard who doesn't know the difference between (((antiperspirant))) amd deodorant.

Protip: get yourself a pack of Old Spice deodorants at Costco before a trip. Throw one in your luggage and one in your carryon.

Whoa, never saw that one coming!

90% of Asians have a variant of the ABCC11 gene that results in them emitting no body odor. Therefore, A) they have no need for strong deodorants, and/or B) they have limited experience with manufacturing deodorants for people who do have the odor-causing ABCC11 gene.

The product isn't necessarily shit, it's just not compatible with your body. Only 2% of caucasians have the same ABCC11 variant as 90% of Asians.
>>
>>2886738
One would think that with the hordes of western barbarians coming to Japan lately that some stores would make money by selling real deodorant, but nope
>>
>>2886738
Imagine being such a disgusting, smelly monkey that you need extra strength deodorant in Costco quantity. Fucking white people body odor is worse than the smelliest African hair grease. That putrid, rotting stench is unmistakable. No amount of washing or deodorant is going to help you. Your sweat stains clothing yellow. Please stay in your containment zone.

>asians don't have BO
this meme needs to die
you have obviously never been on a train in Asia filled with teenage males after they finish school in uniforms they wash once a fortnight
>>
>>2886738
All they had in South Korea was a tiny lady speed stick at some pharmacy so yes I did smell kinda gay and kinda like flowers for the whole trip.
>>
>>2886738
Allow me to shill a little.
This deodorant is reality breaking magic. Haven’t smelled my BO for like a year, except when I become a slob and don’t shower for a few days.

The also make a stick variety
>>

>80F and doing a hike
Have you considered getting a deodorant/antiperspirant made specifically for when you sweat a lot in high heat? Most deodorants, even in the west, are not made for activities that make you sweat.
>>
>>2886791
>ABCC11 gene that results in them emitting no body odor.
It's reduced odor, not elimination of all odor. Your body also does not produce "odor". ABCC11 just changes the compounds within your sweat, which bacteria on your skin then eat and produce gas (actual odor) that other people smell. It doesn't eliminate all of those compounds. Asian people still smell if they sweat enough.
>>
>>2886897
I fully understand that's how it works, I just wanted to skip the explanation for brevity. From my experience with 4chan, very few people here actually want the longer scientific explanation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>
Ooh you made a big mistake. I packed two with me, paranoid just incase I somehkw lost one white would never happen. Not having deodorant would ruin my holiday. I don't sweat a lot but specifically my armpits and balls get very stinky, very quickly, the dirty feeling is very unpleasant too

common mistake, when i worked in China Westerners had to put in orders for deodorant sticks and tampons when people went back home for breaks because the stuff they sold at the Watson's drug stores there just wasnt good enough.
>>

I haven't wore deodorant in a year and I have never smelt better. I tired to wear ot recently. The deodorant turned to pure slime and I smelt like shit afterwards.

After a bit of research, you microbiom changes after to stop wearing it. The smell of sweat isn't sweat, its the microbes that live in your armpit earting sweat and making smell. When you kick the deodorant, you'll stink for about 3 weeks until your microbiom changes and a less smelly one starts to dominant. Just shower everyday, avoid polyester tshirts. Wear cotton tshirts and you'll smell good. I usually tell a girl weeks afterwards I dont wear deodorant, they are always shocked because I smell good.

>I haven't wore deodorant in a year and I have never smelt better.
Sure anon

>When you kick the deodorant, you'll stink for about 3 weeks until your microbiom changes and a less smelly one starts to dominant
Anon the smell is literally ammonia, this is what turdworlders literally think.

Effective Antiperspirants are Classified as Quasi-Drugs

Quasi-drugs ( 医薬部外品 ) are products that contain a certain concentration of medicinal ingredients and ingredients that have been approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare that effectively treat what they're advertised to do. Compared to pharmaceuticals (prescribed by a doctor), the effects are milder, but compared to cosmetics, they are more effective. A lot of Japanese deodorants are classed as cosmetic items. When looking for an effective antiperspirant, you want one that is classified as a quasi-drug, indicating it has the ingredients in it to be effective against sweat (often Aluminum Chlorohydrate and Isopropyl Methylphenol in Japanese antiperspirants).

The real protip is to use an odorless antiperspirant. Deodorants smell awful for a lot of people, especially asians, and they will avoid you because you stink.

>Deodorants smell awful for a lot of people, especially asians, and they will avoid you because you stink.
If you're 18 and don't know how to wear it and use the basic bitch axe spray sure. Most people will be fine with something like Old Spice bodywash that does a good job. Most people who "don't smell" usually just have their bodywash lingering.

If you go out hiking, biking, the gym, or spending hours outside in 90F weather? going to smell at some point, you might not smell as bad as the shit around you if in SEA but you smell.
>>
>>2886738
Literally looks like a butt plug.
>Asian font
Is it true that they don't have much body odor so don't need strong deodorant?

Anyway I forgot to bring boxers... Gonna go to a clothing store tomorrow, boxers shouldn't be hard to find right (in South America)? Or am I just gonna go commando the whole time
>>
>>2888693
No one in latin america has underwear. You're SOL
>>
>>2886797
They stink, but the smell isn't nearly as pungent as even a freshly showered Italian or Indian. And a sweaty Italian is fouler than even 100 stinky Asians. You can smell when an Italian is on a train the moment you walk in even if they're on the opposite end of it.
>>
>>2888720
>You can smell when an Italian is on a train the moment you walk in even if they're on the opposite end of it.
pheromone mogged
>>
>>2886994
You're fucking retarded. Sweat doesn't stink, no matter your genetic code. The bacteria growing, shitting, and dying on your skin in lots of moisture stinks. If you've passed the 7th grade, you should know this.
>>
>>2886791
Many Asians do smell like stale soup.
>>
>>2888668
>>2888687
Polyester smells because it's oleophilic and your body oils are absorbed by the fibers until they're saturated. Regular detergent doesn't get it properly clean
>>
>>2888888
Nice hexes
>>
>>2888835
I fully agree that you stink and it's your own fault.
>>
>>2888839
They don't smell like stale soup to me, but I agree that many of them smell unpleasant. They probably don't realize it tho. The ABCC11 gene only unstinks your sweat after all. You will still stink if you don't wash yourself regularly.
>>
>>2888922
>The ABCC11 gene only unstinks your sweat after all. You will still stink if you don't wash yourself regularly.
Yeah, they do have a dirty BO smell, just without the pungeant sweat smell.
>>
Also, i rarely smell any BO from anyone white here in Western Europe.
>>
>>2888697
okay I know you thought you were joking but I went to the mall and even at the mall the clothing stores are so much smaller than the stores in the US. Went to 4 clothing stores, only 2/4 had underwear. And they only had boxer-briefs (not regular boxers), sold as singles (not in packs like in the US), and are $10+ each which is pretty expensive compared to everything else around here.

so I'm concluding that underwear is actually considered a rare luxury item here.
>>
>>2888999
They have a foreskin, the tip of their dick never touches the fabric of the pants.
>>
>>2889007
>They have a foreskin
Only in countries where abrahamic religions are the minority.
>>
>>2889007
lmao, you know, I wouldn't even be surprised if this is an actual thing and underwear actually is less common there for this reason. I know that's one reason why I won't go commando, I even thought about it when I realized I forgot to pack boxers.
>>
I've been using this in Thailand, not this specific brand though. They sell these stones in the fresh market for around 30 baht or IDK maybe 75 cents. They work really good plus there's no strong deodorant smell.
>>
>>2886738
yeah, bring from home next time
>>
>>2886797
These are racial characteristics resulting from mutations specific to East Asians (New Mongoloids), not Asians in general. ĀNearly 100% of Koreans and Mongolians have degenerated apocrine sweat glands, which are the source of body odor.
The earwax of people with degenerated apocrine sweat glands is dry and powdery. Since Chinese and Japanese people have mixed blood from ancient Mongoloids, such as the Malay and Jomon peoples, about 10% of them have mild underarm odor. In Japan, underarm odor is considered a medical condition, and surgery to remove apocrine sweat glands is covered by public health insurance.
>>
>>2894504
they still smell bad from the bacteria on their body. 95% of the smell humans have come from bacteria. the only reason apocrine smells is because the bacteria eat it but they can eat your dead skin cells and debris etc
>>
>>2894504
Next time you are in HK, Korea, Taiwan, Osaka, Beijing, during the summer take the subway at 4PM and tell me that shit don't stank. >inb4 that's just the foreigners!!!1

They smell considerably better than your average Frenchie who doesn't believe in deodorant and forgot that Asia gets over 20C in summer, sure but that's really not hard.

You smell like a rotting corpse jeet.

>kek I just don't smell
These fucks are always the smelliest ass motherfuckers sitting next to you on the plane, bus, train, etc. You're always impossible to pick up on any hints that you smell like complete shit either.

If you're a male and doing something out and about, wear at least some deodorant or use proper bodywash. You don't need to be like the Pajeet who thinks a bottle of cologne is something you dump on you once a day, but a little bit of fragrance goes a looong way.
>>
>>2895885
You're just a NEET who's never been to any of those cities, aren't you?
>>
>>2895912
Been to them all,
take the 9 line in Seoul really doesn't matter what time of day
take the green line in Taipei any time after noon in summer
take the island line in HK all the high schoolers that clog it up smell like complete dogshit
Osaka loop line any time after 4PM

Sure if you sit at the front of the train you'll get a lot of fresh air, but if you're sitting near the last few cars of the train enjoy all that musk.

Trains in Japan and Taiwan are almost 100% equipped with automatic air conditioning, so the windows don’t open. That means it doesn’t matter whether you sit in the front or the back of the train. I imagine it’s probably the same in Seoul, too.
>>
>>2896002
Anon air is still going to get in through the vents in the front along through the door cracks, the movement of a train forward natrually means things will flow one direction.
>>
>>2896028
While it is true that each train car performs minor air exchange for ventilation, air conditioners work by cooling the ambient air in summer and heating it in winter. For this reason, opening windows or allowing a massive flow of air through the vents would render the air conditioning ineffective.
Furthermore, when the train accelerates to depart, the air flows from front to back; conversely, when it decelerates to stop, the air flows from back to front, meaning the net air displacement ultimately offsets to zero. Additionally, the air remains stationary while the train is traveling at a constant speed. In reality, because the train is a nearly airtight environment and some air exchange occurs within each car, there is no risk of air from the lead car accumulating in the very last car.
