There is nothing special there, you're better off visiting any other south English village which will have exactly the same feel but with fewer tourists. Just look around the map for any AONB and pick a village, double check with street view and have the place to yourself.

check out blenheim palace, it has tons of trails around it too which were great. you can get locked out at night though and stuck in the park which happened to me
