I just came back from Japan yesterday.

Entry to Kansai Airport is always unpleasant.

The immigration officer had a lot of irritation on his face and looked lazy to even talk.

The QR code required for entry is more cumbersome than a paper entry card. The Japanese are good at making things complicated.

High-rise buildings and arcade shops on the high street are still wonderful.

It's like a symbol of Japan's prosperity period.

But residential areas and transportation facilities have not really changed since decades ago.

It also feels old and dirty now.

The kitchens of local restaurants are also messy.

The streets feel like well-organized Southeast Asia.

The old Japan is no longer there.

You can just hand over the paper arrival card and it's over.
It's the same in customs. Simple.

You take out your phone, scan it, take a picture of your face again... fingerprint..

You have to do it twice until you go through customs..

If you're visiting for the first time, you'll hang around without a guide.

You should start a YouTube channel, you have many things to teach to the world.

Every country has strict screening procedures for travelers arriving from the Third World.

I'm talking about the good times of Japan in the 80s and 90s.
Back then, everywhere was gorgeous and lively.

Now it feels old and declining

You don't kow shjit, sweaty.
If anything, Japan was more gritty in the 80s and 90s.

Yes, Japan is actually Asian. Immigration officials don't grin at entering foreigners when they are doing their jobs.

Now that I've been to the pricey parts of Thailand it's clear how people can say that Japan costs about the same as Thailand for many consumable items.

>Immigration officials don't grin at entering foreigners when they are doing their jobs.
They do if you're white. Especially compared to the anglo countries. Whenever I re-enter the US they interrogate me and ask me to give an alibi about what I'm doing in the US even though I'm a US citizen

Are you German or a burger from mid west?
Imagine being such a pretentious faggot and making this post. It’s clear you are autistic, so just post in the Japan general where you can interact freely with your kind.

So tell us about those "good times" you had back in 1980s Japan. Tell us what it was like. A knowledgeable oldfag who was actually there like you surely has great things to say.

My entries were basically "Welcome to Japan Sir" with me saying "Pleasure to be in your country, sir".

Not sure what your issue was. The three times I've been in Japan , they have always been fine.
I've had more issues coming back into the U.S. from Mexico or Canada than I've had coming into Japan.
