I want to be a travel YouTuber, but I have autism.I don't have social skills and don't particularly like talking to people. Can I still make it, /trv/ bros?
>>2893292Yes. There are travel youtubers from this board. Andrew Platt although he is rollercoaster/theme park focused.Make your limitation your gimmick. Make your travel vlogs about antisocial incel-friendly destinations and stuff like that.
>YouTuberstopped reading there
>>2893292Film yourself being a retarded fucking autist who cant interact with people across the planetConstantly fuck up basic social interactionsLiterally shit, piss and vomit when anyone is nice to you Do it enough to end up on kiwifarmsI believe in you anon
>>2893292>but I have autismIf you don't wear those silly earmuffs and you don't care if two different foods touch each other on the same plate, you should be fine. You might want to start with short-form videos so people with ADHD like >>2894840 can follow along. Also, if you make short videos, you don't have to talk to people as much. Win-Win.
Why is this board so negative, anything I want to do I can just cover with AI.>surprise locals with perfect language>have a wonderful date with J girl>how to haggle with Yakuza>flying business/first/etc>seeing Philippines as a Mexican-SpanairdBasically just do random things but rework it with AI and stuff to make it cool without spending money
>>2894871Clavicular does this successfully but he does look like a model
>>2893292You have to have something. It doesnt have to be talking to people. Theres already enough channels like that. Maybe you can fight someone at every place. Or something autistic, idk.>>2894871I would like this. Be so autistic you make it on a foreign newspaper
>>2895026>AI>coolJust guaranteed to be another slop channel like all the others
>OP
Do unedited content. Walk around Tokyo with no shitty jumpcuts or edits. 5 Second intro at most that fades into the video. That's all it takes to stand out now
>>2893292Why is this channel so fucking comfy, brehs? Also, you could definitely do something like this even if you were "autistic" as you say.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb7E-s_9sUs
>>2895041Honestly it would work, just be insanely insecure and retarded all the time, fuck up constantly, commit constant faux pas, people would watchYou'd probably get some weird fandom in Asia at least
>>2893292I used to sometimes watch a Thailand youtuber called Cheap Charlie Chronicles (had another channel later on, for livestreaming called Billy Blue too). Total sperg, far more than the average youtuber, but he did manage to build a reasonable following. He's been picked up by Kick now and appears to be in Mexico.cheapcharlielive is his handle on there now. Anyway, my point is, if he can do it your average sperg probably has a fair chance if viewers find you interesting enough. This guy has developed some social skills though, but he does claim that he barely spoke as a child.
I'm in the same boat OP. I want to have a travel channel focusing on hiking and outdoors stuff, I've tried filming some content while abroad but it just isn't any good. I'm pretty assburgery and I have social anxiety too so speaking into a camera doesn't really come naturally to me. Any advice on how to get started for real bros?

>>2901425I'm OP. I want what you want too, a travel channel focused on hiking and outdoors. I'm a huge loser so that kind of helps push out whatever social anxiety/shame I might have about filming and uploading myself, but I am still autistic and don't "get" what I'm supposed to be yapping into the camera, much less talking to people. Also I am in poverty so getting money to travel is pretty hard for me.So my advice is 1. be a total desperate loser like me so much so you become shameless (needed to be a YouTuber), and 2. just record more, get more reps in. If you want to link up, drop your form of communication and I might message you (or not).>>2901432>film the nature and then dub over it in post. you dont even need to show your faceThe problem with that is that viewers want a face and a parasocial relationship. Name one (1) travel YouTuber that does that, you can't because you don't make any money by doing that.
>>2901434>The problem with that is that viewers want a face and a parasocial relationship. Name one (1) travel YouTuber that does that, you can't because you don't make any money by doing that.I don't watch jewtube at all so idk
>>2899009I fucking hate that faggot so much
The only way to win is through volume. As many videos as possible. You will get better over time.1 long form per week. 1-3 shorts 5-6 days per week. For 3-5 years. Think in terms of inputs.
>>2902148I think the other viable route is by providing an educational experience that requires a deep understanding of the culture of the region. As a generic American, I don't gain much from watching another generic American hold a camera and show me things I can see on google maps.
>>2902148I wouldn't say it's the ONLY way for travel youtubers. Bald and Bankrupt published one video a month and has zero shorts, and his videos average way more than a million views each.
>>2901434>The problem with that is that viewers want a face and a parasocial relationship. Name one (1) travel YouTuber that does that, you can't because you don't make any money by doing that.I actually don't want that. I want a more ASMR vibe and text captions are fine - there's lots of no talking no face travel channels or just talk to introduce the hiking and outdoors "today we are at x park in the state of x" it doesn't need to be long or in depth just telling us the basis of where you are and what you are seeing >Name one (1) travel YouTuber that does that, you can't because you don't make any money by doing that.its more of a gender thingwomen almost always show their faces, men only do if they are chadthere's plenty of nerdier travel male youtubers who don't
>>2901434>Name one (1) travel YouTuber that does that, you can't because you don't make any money by doing that.there are asian women travel youtubers and general lifestyle youtubers who don't show their faces. some who never show their faces, some who occasionally show their faces.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a81Hf-r1HAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_seSrvYhPPY <AI voiced weird thinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSiX2BmMv-khttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=867P4sGpbdgthat genre is more Asian Girl Going Somewhere and Shopping than a White Male Travel Vlog, but still, they maybe show a picture of the back of their head or a reflection in a window. subtitles and often no speaking at all.
>>2895961What about 1 min recordings, then fade to another 1 min of something going on, and so on. I personally get bored of those long walking tours after a minute. Also thought about doing these with a 360 camera. Maybe a 360 video, a 4k video, and some shorts of every spot.
>>2893292Ya just find your niche, look at bogmans abandonded exploration stuffhttps://youtube.com/shorts/Q3U5NKTkPHg

>>2908939>most viewed video is a recording of a talk on "semen retention"Yeah I think ill pass
>>2893292You can make it.Step 1 is to get comfortable around a camera. Practice by just filming yourself doing your day to day life and talking in private and then slowly start filming yourself walking around in public otherwise you'll just be really shy and awkward.t. aspiring travel youtuber
