Is the DR a safe holiday destination? Although I've read the DR has a relatively normal crime rate that consists of only petty crime but is this true? Can anyone who's been confirm? Would you have any advice? How can I not make myself a victim? Which area should I stay out of?
>>2893492>plap porky dark-skinned prostitutes?1) speak English, 2) if I wanted to do that I would just go to the Netherlands or something.
DR is real safe as long as you dont go there
>>2893487For Latin Americans standards it’s very safe, which means that you are probably going to be fine so long you avoid the sketchy areas and alleyways where you aren’t going to get robbed by guys on motorcycles but you should take care to avoid anyplace where it’s clear you’re unwelcome. Use common sense
>>2893487As long as you don't explore too far and end up in Haiti, you should be safe.
>>2893763Haiti needs more /trv/ reporting
>>2893487The crime rate really isn't that high for the whole country. If you stay in the resort and don't go out then the risk is even lower. However it's dirt poor and the food/water is gross and will give you diarrhea.
The Dominican Republic is actually a very popular destination for middle-class white Canadians. If these oblivious cunts can do it, so can you.
