>in Paris, travelling alone
>went to Park de la Villette today, which is like some sort of urban renewal local council experiment that is partly run down, partly cool liminal space, mostly boring concrete park
>went to Paris zoo earlier and it was okay
>manatees were a highlight
>hear and sun were intense on the first day but I got used to it

I have only eaten at Burger King or McDonald's on each day, and have only had Starbucks coffee. I can't bear to go into a non-chain place to eat because it feels like the people who work there look down on me.

I have talked to no one.

In the late evenings I either browse the internet on my phone, read a book, or play GBA ROMs on my laptop.

I think London's parks mog Paris's parks.

When I see modern French cultural initiatives, it feels like they're trying really hard to pretend they're not fully colonised by the USA or Anglos. Their Rugby final was on TV and Google said the players make an average of 240k euros per year. It feels like their publicly subsided culture is in much healthier shape than the UK but it makes the presence of life support more visible.

I went to the Louvre and Orsay museum again since I was here some months ago and have hit diminishing returns.

Based on what ChatGPT recommends me, I have seen almost everything there is to see. It kept telling me to walk through Le Marais and when I did that, it was filled with Staceys.

If Tokyo is the year 2000, parts of Paris feel like the early 90s stuck in time. Parts of it feel slightly run down and like they'll never be rebuilt.

The museums have all been too warm. The current AC meme is real for those.

You must look like a barely sentient McDonald's eater and ChatGPT itinerary follower. No shit the Frenchies are gonna look down on you. Going to Paris and not enjoying their world-famous bakeries is seriously fucked. I'd be dropping 15+ euros a day on baked goods if I were in Paris.

BTW how much are you paying per night for your hotel? My guess is 75 euros.
>I have talked to no one
Understandable if you don't speak French.

No, a bit more than double that for the hotel. Having just bread feels like a waste of calories.

I feel like i've already read this LARP a few months ago.

I went to Versailles and inside Notre Dame on a previous trip. Versailles was very cool.

I went walking through some parts of Montmartre yesterday evening and then ate at McDonald's. Then I went jogging this morning.

The trip will soon be over. I will definitely come back, though unlike previous trips I don't feel like I've missed anything major, either in terms of sightseeing or anything else. Paris is just another big city for me to walk around in aimlessly. The people are normies.

I did 4 days in Paris in September last year and had a great time. But I don't ever need to see it again. The French Alps are where you should be going.
