What are some of the best places to move to in SEA if you were to stay for 1-3 years?
>>
Brunei is arguably one of the top 10
>>
>>2893741
Thailand and Vietnam are the only answers. Maybe KL if you hate fun
>>
>>2893741
for what?
>>2893745
KL doesnt have a use case. Don't see the appeal of it at all. So excited to leave here in two days.
>>
Really nowhere. Thailand and viet nam are good for a few months, Malaysia a few weeks, the rest is not good at all. The climate is oppressive and the infrastructure and food sucks
>>
you're not getting a girlfriend you loser
>>
>>2893741
Papua New Guinea would be my pick
>>
>>2893764
>murder and rape capital of planet Earth
high quality /trv/ advice as usual
>>2893743
There's literally nothing there
>>2893741
The best place to move is Singapore
>>
>>2893785
>The best place to move is Singapore
There's literally nothing there
>>
>>2893791
Singapore is great to live in
Which is what OP is asking
It's shit to visit
>>
>>2893799
great for who? tradcuck paypigs with a family. not a young single guy trying to budget
>>
>>2893826
Never thought I'd see the day where Im agreeing with paypig spammer. Truly the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Fuck Singapore
>>
>>2893799
Yea if you’re some absolutely BORING safe finance faggot or tech dork.

Fuck. Off.
>>
>>2893826
>a young single guy trying to budget
Singapore is the best place to be a young single guy also
Apart from housing it's not even expensive if you don't want it to be.
I've lived in SG, KL, Bangkok, southern Thailand, HCMC and Da Nang. SG is by far the best place to date.
Apart from that it's got the best entertainment options and QoL
>>
>>2893835
>best entertainment options
>Singapore
lmfao
>>
>>2893842
it's true. if you like live entertainment- music, theatre, comedy etc- singapore is the best place to go in the whole region
>>
>>2893845
I cringe to imagine the abomination Sinkie comedy surely is
>>
>>2893835
you're a marketer and a virgin
>>
>>2893848
it's probably a derivative knockoff of asian american "comedy" with just as much racebaiting but more soulless money jokes sprinkled in
>>

>>2893849
Nah I'm just not as price sensitive as you.
I earn normal American wages and work fully remote, I don't even think twice about a monthly rental in SG
Short term rent, food and drinks cost less than at home.
Why exactly would I be bothered?
>>
>>2893848
not talking about locals. asian stand up comedy is mostly awful. it is almost always about race or food or both and is just incredibly predictable and tedious
i mean international touring acts and so on. like uk/us comedians. the shows are mainly for expats. people come from all the neighbouring countries to see them
>>
>>2893853
>wagecuck paypigging to live in a theme park chastity cage
couldnt be me
>>
>>2893850
Imagine asian american comedy but in a singaporean accent. Also known as "Hell"
>>2893854
>intl acts
fair enough
>>
>>2893861
I've been to quite a few local comedy shows and they do suck like that. Some of the racebaiting is funny but it always comes across as internal seething.
Only good Asian comedians are Americans who've lived there most of their life. Jimmy Yang is good.
>>
>>2893835
Why was it such a good place to date? I've only heard about how materialistic they are, which is fine if you're rich and like that sort of thing, which I understand, as it means they take better care of themselves and dress to impress. But it doesn't seem like the kind of place where you can go to a bar, approach a couple cuties and get a warm response. Or is it?
>>
>>2894594
You think any of these fucking losers would know? Lmao
>>
>>2894594
It's a better place than SEA to date because the girls will be basically normal people so the typical doofus move of getting involved with a literal villager is unlikely/less likely. Otherwise I don't see any reason it would be a better or even good place to date necessarily.
>>
>>2894594
They don't need your money, for starters
>>
>>2895964
They need your status because it's inbred island culture where everyone gossips
>>
>>2895979
Nobody is gossiping about you loser. You don't matter.
>>
>>2895980
They're gossiping about the roastie, idiot. The Singapore people have nothing to do so all they do is talk and measure dicks. If you get a sinkie gf you are part of the equation and have to measure dick too
>>
>>2893741
God this girl has a mouth 10xs more massive than Julia Roberts
>>
>>2893826
>not a young single guy trying to budget
I got a job in Singapore and saved as much money there in a year than I did in the 5 years after that when I moved out

yes it's expensive but the salaries match and even exceed the living costs
>>
>>2898275
who cares about shekels if its boring

10 years ago i was in singapore and went to Brix bar that's attached to the grand hyatt. I met some really cool and fun people there that night. I heard these fun types of people no longer frequent Brix bar. Would anyone know where they went? I will be in singapore for a night soon and would like to find some cool people to hang out with.

Vietnam, Japan, maybe Melbourne or Seoul
>>
>>2898423
>trying this hard to keep it on the downlow
Not fooling anyone who's spent enough time in Death Penalty Disneyland
It's all online now. Or Geylang for lower class
>>
>>2898561
thanks. Geylang gave me the creeps last time i went there. Auntie wong's arent my vibe.

> It's all online now
fk i hate the online game, might need to give in and get back on the apps, or just avoid SIN all together. I wonder if jumbo chili crab is still good...
>>
>>2898635
Yeah it's sucks, went drank tea at one of the more expensive China houses too and it's still gross.
Not sure if anything like Brix anymore, all the good things closed up after covid, it was a lot of fun.
So was top floor at Orchard despite the sleaziness, dated a hapa Russian/Jap hostess from there for a few weeks, she was insanely hot. There's probably a similar bar around no but haven't heard of it.

Orchard Towers is empty but Brix is back after being closed for some time. The same clientele as before. There's also Ipanema in CBD, which used to be in Orchard Towers and has moved there. Cuppage Plaza for nip girls.

Are upscale restaurants in Singapore particular with dress codes at all? All I know is that in China, people dress like shit to upscale restaurants all the time. I'm not sure if Singapore is just like that, or if their standards are higher.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a tank top & shorts type of degenerate. I prefer plain black t-shirts and H&M pants, and I rarely dress better than that.
>>
>>2899744
How upscale do you mean?
Michelin stars maybe care but if your money is good I've not seen anyone really give a shit
Done flipflops and shorts in some of the most expensive bars in town and no one even blinked an eye at it
