I travel a decent amount and never do this. Seems kinda like boomer cringe? Why would you tip someone you never see and who doesn't rely on tips for their salary? Thoughts?

I've been traveling for close to a decade, and I didn't know about this until two years ago. This seems to be more of a thing in the US and Canada. You definitely don't do this in Europe and Asia.

at the hotel i worked at, housekeepers made minimum wage and relied on tips to make a livable wage
