I travel a decent amount and never do this. Seems kinda like boomer cringe? Why would you tip someone you never see and who doesn't rely on tips for their salary?

Thoughts?

Idk but ive also never done this and i wont. I dont even need my bed made every day.

I used to just leave a 5 spot for the housekeeper when I traveled a lot (over 10 years ago) but I never left a mess, 20 seems excessive unless you were in there for a week or more.

I hope you don't leave your toothbrush out when the cleaners are in.

I always hide mine when I dont tip so they dont use it to clean the sink or toilet

But if you tip at the end they won't know before you leave

I've been traveling for close to a decade, and I didn't know about this until two years ago. This seems to be more of a thing in the US and Canada. You definitely don't do this in Europe and Asia.

There are a lot of grumpy cleaners who don't give a shit about that and will take their anger out on the guest if there's no tip for them on that exact day

is it tipping if i am profiting from reddit karma tho?
>>

Reddit has mixed opinions, but seems to have a lot of people who believe hotel stayers are responsible for subsidizing the poor oppressed brown housekeepers via tipping
>>

As a business owner I fully support the cucked redditors on this particular issue
>>
at the hotel i worked at, housekeepers made minimum wage and relied on tips to make a livable wage

"Livable wage" is commie propaganda language im not giving money to commies let them earn it
