I'm trying to decide where to travel and spend around 2–3 months (starting this mid August). I currently live in the UK, but I'm originally from Chile.Right now, I'm looking for places where I can rent a private room for under £600 per month. I'm especially interested in places with rich folklore and history, not just beautiful landscapes, but also interesting people, architecture, and local myths. I'm an artist, and I want to paint these places and learn about their stories.I've already spent a month in Japan 5 years ago, and it was beautiful. I'd love to go back someday, but I'm not sure my current lifestyle and the kind of trip I want right now really fit Japan.Scotland has really caught my attention, especially because of the weather and Edinburgh.Eastern Europe also interests me a lot, mainly because I'm fascinated by Brutalist architecture, and it seems like it could be much more affordable.I'm open to any suggestions! If you know of a place with a strong folklore tradition, beautiful architecture, and a reasonable cost of living, I'd love to hear about it.
At that puny budget maybe Ukraine or moldova
>>2894390Scotland is great but don't go to Edinburgh. You'll get a fake version of Scotland for tourists. Come out to the west coast for authenticity.t. glaswegian
>>2894390This year I rented a place sub- $150/month in India, China, and Taiwan. Malaysia was like $220. Pretty much everywhere in the world is within your budget if you have a triple digit IQ. You're an inbred spic so you probably don't though
You get 2-3 months of vacation? Is that normal for the UK?
Any second city in the in Latvia or Lithuania. Great places to fuck off for a few months. Anyone who says you can't get a room for 650 Euros a month in Daugavpils or Kaunas is retarded. Great folklore and unique pagan cultures and plenty of abandoned old soviet brutalism.
>>2895181No way you got something for that price in Taiwan without it being a literal homeless shelter
>>2895396yesterday i went to a restaurant and they tried to give me the english menu because it has higher prices. i guess the whole country is like that
>>2895254like 8 holidays and 20 days vacation
>>2895396Even in Tokyo, there are places to rent for around $500 a month.https://www.leopalace21.com/en?gclid=9e9a86493c5f18e518c7ec289864b928&gclsrc=3p.ds&utm_campaign=JP_NB_Nationwide&utm_content=MonthlyShortterm&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=bing&utm_term=%E3%83%9E%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E8%B3%83%E8%B2%B8
