hotels are like 80% of the cost of travelling
>flight to Thailand, 1200$>30 days in a luxurycondo in Pattaya = 500$seems to be the other way around
>>2894851well, in the us, the cheapest motels are like 70-90 bucks and that's usually an old room with noisy heating and cooling, if you want a room with a mini split and a kitchen you are looking at 150 a night minimum
>>2894844hotel cucks and platform cucks are so cringe
>>2894855Honestly this. Traveling in US or Canada has become so shit because of the hotel costs. All the cheapo motels are old and unmaintained, but the prices crept up from $40 to $150-200 over the past 15 years. My month long trips to Vietnam or Thailand end up costing less than a week long road trip here in Canada. And that includes the flight, especially if you find a good promo on some budget airline.
>>2894844Stack credit card points bro.
>>2894844Stop traveling in America. You get completely raped on hotel prices.
>>2894855>>2894857sleep in car and shower at planet fitness
>>2894931But everything I want to see is in America + customs/borders/flying are WAY worse and more scammy>um sorry 100 dollars your bag is too heavy>um sorry 100 dollars to pick your seat>oh that's a premium seat another 100 dollarsI'm never flying again until I can bring ice and water into an airport and directly aboard a flight from home. >>2894946That's much more annoying you have to be NEAR such a place and you won't get good sleep in your car. There's a reason hotels get to charge as much as they do.
>>2894902Nta but I started looking into this, and it would take me so fucking long to save up enough points for a single flight that it's just not worth it.
>>2894844This is why I only stay in hostels.Even if I'd prefer my own room at this point, 30 per night always beats 100 or 200 per night.
>>2894844Flights? Also, slum it in the Motel 6
>>2894855>>2894857You nigs both suck at finding cheap lodging and then blame the world lmao.
>>2894857>>2894855And that's just a hotel. This is an airbnb outside of Toronto.Get good faggots.
>>2894931Can't you rent an RV for cheaper than the motels?
>>2895045>>2895044I did India, China, and Taiwan for sub-$5 a night. Own room, city center
