It's fun when the weather is below 85. It gets brutally hot in the summer. In the spring, you can't do the narrows because the river level is almost always too high after the snow melt. In the winter, the river is too cold to hike the narrows. So you really should do it in the fall. You need a permit to do Angel's landing which is the second best bike in the park after the Narrows. The campground in Zion is terrible because they don't have showers.

If you're asking me, I'd tell you to go to Yosemite National Park first if you've never done it. Stay in Curry Village. If you want to do Utah, go to Arches and stay in Moab. Bring a mountain bike and go ride some trails. Go rafting in Moab. Check out Canyonlands.

It's quite beautiful but it's a victim of it's own success. When I visited there in the spring, two years ago, the main paved area that goes to the narrows, and some of the more accessible hiking trails felt like Disneyland levels of crowding. Also europoors and various other subhuman races don't know how to comport themselves in nature, so there was a lot of garbage and litter strewn about and lots of the subhumans graffiti on the rocks. I had high expectations but the reality was quite a letdown.
The best part of my visit was hiking deep in the trails. Subhumans don't go anywhere that they didn't see on TikTok already, so if you follow the trails for more than a mile or two you have them basically all to yourself.
