>Flight lands in Beijing, spend 4 nights there>Take another domestic flight from Beijing to Chongqing, spend 4 nights there>Take high speed rail from Chongqing to Hong Kong, spend 5 night there. Fly out of Hong Kong to my home countryAny China anons want to tell me if this trip is feasible? I am seriously considering this for my 2027 international trip.
>>2894918Sounds like a shit trip
>>2894918Of course it's feasible to take mass commercial transportation between three megacities. Only notes are>this doesn't warrant its own thread when we have a China general>Chongqing -> HKG is probably a needlessly long ride
>>2894936>Chongqing -> HKG is probably a needlessly long rideUnless you are an overland nerd its way too far, just flyThat said I hate flying domestically in China, the trains are 100x more comfy
>>2894918That's a totally normal trip. Why wouldn't it be feasible?
>>2894918>the dream is 14 days of pointless transitdo wagies really
>>2894918In my humble opinion, if you want to visit China it's better to pick one contiguous region and stick to it. Instead of faffing around with flights, why not just pick one of the three places and stay there, moving around with trains and buses? A single province of China alone has more to offer to a foreign tourist than many countries. For example, you could take Chongqing as a base and use it to visit Sichuan and one of the bordering provinces, like Guizhou or Hunan. There's more than enough there to fill a 12 days trip, it will be less expensive, and you won't spend half of your time in China in planes or airports or trains to the airport.
>>2894961I think people have a fantasy about the high speed rail like its going to be this really cool futuristic experience. But when you're inside it it's just a regular train ride, except shorter. It doesn't feel futuristic and it doesn't even feel fast. Maybe it is, but the experience of riding it is underwhelming
>>2894971Wanting to try HSR in China is fine, but Chongqing>HK seems like a ridiculously long trip. Why not go to Chengdu instead? I think the main problem with OP's itinerary is that it's not organic at all, it's like a China highlights reel that has you visiting three cities which are thousands of kms apart while he could instead just pick any region of China and spend his 14 days having a sovlful trip around 1-2 provinces instead.
>>2894918>visiting China without going on Mount Taismdh
>>2894981I went to Mount Emei instead, is that ok?
