Vs a hotel. Worth it overall or is it a headache?-How much cheaper- 20%?-Are they typically shit rooms next to loud dorms so you’ll hear partying all night?-I’m 35 solo traveling, though fit 12% bf, not bald/creepy, above average, look younger. Would it be weird to be in a hostel even in a private room? I’d be open to banging younger girls in the hostel if the signals are clear, but not going to inject myself autistically in their social scene
>>2896521I’m white traveling in Europe btw
It really depends on the hostel, they are all over the place. If you want to sleep well, then obviously don't pick a party hostel. As for the price vs a hotel room, that's again all over the place. The best bet is to find a hostel that's not a party hostel but still has a downstairs bar and common room, and then get a private room there if it's not hotel room priced. Then you can get the good parts of both, socializing with travellers in the bar and common room, and still have the bed and room to yourself (and a possible pickup if you're lucky).
>>2896521>I’m 35 solo traveling, though fit 12% bf, not bald/creepy, above average, look younger.i have news for you anonif you're 35 and find it necessary to justify yourself by posting all these details about yourself on a travel board, you're creepyif you're 35 and can't afford a proper fucking hotel room, you're weird
>>2896521I've literally been in hostels where old ass grandmas and boomers were staying in dorms with 20 year olds. No one is gonna give a shit or think you're weird unless you act weird
>>2896521In portugal last year there were two ladies in my room in their 50s or 60s. Weird, yeah, but ultimately who cares>>2896525Agreed
>>2896525>>2896529If you don’t know the difference between a fat bald autistic ugly 35 yo and a non autistic who is fit - you might be the fat 30+ retard. Who says I can’t afford a hotel? My last euro trip last year was all hotels and I’m considering a hostel room now if it’s a good way to maximize the social aspect. Price is a secondary factor
>>2896521get a private room. Loads of hostels have them. That way you have somewhere to take anyone and not be bothered. You also get the """Hanging out in the common room experience""""" without being stuck close to some enormous Eastern Euro manbear with a undiagnosed sleep apnes. Bring ear plugs if you are worried about noise.
>>2896521When I was in Vietnam I saw a dude in his 70’s chilling in the hostel. Idk if it was someone’s grandpa but was kind of funny. Also I saw dude with greying hair hook up with a girl in her early twenties in Europe. He wasn’t a dick to me and was generally pleasant to be around so I don’t really consider it creepy.
>>2896533chill old people in hotels are fun. Them and their random stories are far better then having to the listen to Travel Penis measuring that passes for conversation with most.
>>>/r9k/ is leaking again huh.
>>2896536Met two chill dudes in the Baltics, met both in Riga, one was a Kiwi doing a motorcycle tour through the region who told me about the acid he did in the 70s and then ran into the other again in Talinn a few days later, straight up and down yank grandpa and we stayed up drinking til 3 in the morning
>>2896531>If you don’t know the difference between a fat bald autistic ugly 35 yo and a non autistic who is fit - you might be the fat 30+ retard.yeah i might bebut at least i'm not 35 and still desperately protesting that i'm not bald or autistic. on fucking 4chan.
>>2896524A private room in hostels costs more than a hotel these daysJust go talk to people it's really not hard I find it incredibly pathetic how people need to be in a hostel to justify talking to strangers
>>2896531>35 yo who is fitWhy does that even matter? Do you think people look at you and think that you are not creepy because you think you are "fit"? It's even creepier that you have to describe yourself in that way.If you are going to stay in a hostel, just do it and find out. Nobody really gives a shit how old you are or your body fat percentage.
