They STOLE your luggage, anon. If it was merely lost, somebody would've sent it to you. My hostel friend here had her suitcase full of sentimental items stolen from checked baggage. Never check anything you're not prepared to lose.

My only luggage is a backpack and a little carry-on tote bag. Anything valuable goes in the carry on and just clothes and socks in the backpack (if I even have to check it).
