They didn't even look at my passport when I arrived in LAX. They only scanned my face at a kiosk and cleared me for entry. Evidently all airlines are now required to preregister every passenger's data and photo prior to arrival in the USA. The days of being hassled and searched on entry to the US are long gone for me. Hasn't happened since 2020, and that was only after I talked back to some plainclothes agents with awful tattoos.

I've only left the US once, and no they didn't ask me any questions at LAX, just look at passport and waved me off. The strange part was earlier, when departing they fast-tracked me and a few other people, didn't have to take shoes off. Just metal objects into the xray and that's it.
