I am kinda fucked into being a NEET, left highschool at 12, started working in the trades due to family hookups and hated school, did it all unqualified but was making bank as a teenager. At 16 on a government contract got injured due to safety hazard, got compo and lifetime on UC plus PIP never have to go for meetings or reapply.

My mother was on a disability pension that continued indefinitely but if she left Aus for more than a month or so then payments would be automatically suspended until she returned. And it was based on her passport so it's not like she could just forget to tell them.

The limit on paper is 28 weeks out of the country, but its extremely hard for them to actually press the issue, especially if they contact you and you claim to be there for rehabilitation as its cheaper than the uk.
