Life is great, was totally nerve wracking when i first landed, had no social life or experience with socializing at all, no friends back home. So I was really thinking wtf have i done when i landed and had to navigate outside my bedroom for the first time in a decade, the urge to run back home and be a coward was immense.

After a week or so i started plucking up the courage to talk to the servers at the local coffee shop and forced myself to talk to people, i was so bad at it at first i genuinely cringe now looking back, genuinely never had a social life at all.

After about 3 weeks I had got over my fear of socializing and was going to local bars to watch football and i was chatting to people on facebook i set up to meet people, went on a date, didnt work out but gave me confidence to try again.

After i mvoed into my own place i started inviting girls and sometimes people i met who lived local for dinner, or to watch football. I started getting to know my neighbors, i took every offer of socializing i could, it was extremely hard, as i am extremely shy and agoraphobic by nature. But soon i started enjoying my life.

Made three good friends, one at the local gym and two from my local area, started going ond ates semi regularly from asking girls id meet at cafes or in the markets.

Downloaded bumble and met my wife on there. She is a beautiful little 5'2 dark haired thing who basically quit her job as a waitress to have my baby.

I have met two guys here who have done similar things as me. One was a german ex neet who became a efl guy. the other was a Spanish neet from a middle class family who came over as a 40 year old loser with no friends and within a few years had totally changed his life, lost his virginity and was working at a restraunt and living a poor yet much happier life.

The thing is anglo cultures are dead and so the most anti social of us in thise places can fall through the cracks. Here in mexico it is much easier to become part of society, even if its just chatting to the locals at the cafe, or the locak sports bar.

That simpy does not happen in the uk. And being an immigrant in a totally foreign place, you feel free to shed your past regrets, shame and humilations and try and be a new man.
