I have a week to kill somewhere in these two cunts in early October. I have a work obligation in Istanbul then a week to myself before moving onto Munich for a family vacation. I don't have any specific goals but want to visit them out of a sense of completionism since I've been to most other cunts in Europe.I need to end the trip in Bucharest since they have the cheap and direct flights to Munich. Anyone have anything to recommend other than 3 days in both capitals? Trains don't seem super efficient and I don't want to lose a whole day for travel. I don't want to rent a car. Any recommendations for the cities themselves or reasonable alternatives cities/locations that don't take a whole travel day to get to?

>>2902206Please don't spend 3 days in both capitals. Bulgaria go to Plovdiv if you're going to be near Sofia, you can get tours from Sofia to see Orthodox monasteries Rila fairly easily. Sofia itself doesn't have much of note, it has a much more provincial feel than most European capitals. Bucharest looks awful compared to Romanian cities north of the mountains. Its still fun though, they've got the big thermal spa near the airport if you're interested. I would recommend north of the mountains obv. but that's a 6hr+ bus journey. Though I haven't been, I imagine you'll also be crossing through Edirne on the way to Bulgaria, if you could visit the city and report back, it would be much appreciated~ Oh, and also if there's snow in Bucharest, find a hill to sled down. Get some cardboard, its really fun! Here's a funny looking building in the 'rest

Know if Burgas or Varna are anything special. I have a small itinerary for Bucharest already plus I do need the airport there more than anything. I could sacrifice a day for a better experience in Bulgaria though.
