Starting in Aprile of next year, I will go live near Copenhagen for about six months, for work reasons. I will stay there until about September or October 2027.I think it'd be a good idea to seize the opportunity and visit the Faroe Islands. I haven't checked thoroughly yet, but I think direct flights from Copenhagen or some other Danish airport would be the cheapest and most convenient way to reach the Faroe.I'm torn on when exactly I should plan my visit. The most obvious option would be either July or August, so I have as many hours of sunlight as possible, but I'm worried about crowds and high prices. That's the reason I'm also considering September. I am mostly going there for hiking. If I can eat whale meat and see (or eat) puffins, that's even better.Any insight or discussion regarding the Faroe would be welcome. Is it really necessary to rent a car or is it feasible to move around just with public transport?
