How do you deal with 2fa bullshit when abroad, specially living abroad for months? How do you deal with phone lines from your home country which you need to keep alive by using it them every 3 months at least?Any ideas to keep your affairs going in your home country while abroad for more than six months? e.g. home security (against squatters) and banking
I just ported my old number to google voice and use a global eSIM for my actual service. People say it only works for 6 months or so but I did it years ago and haven't had any issues, the part the stops working is if you want it to like call forward to another number which I don't see the point of. An even more reliable but less convenient way is to get a very cheap calls/text only service and phone like picrel in the US that can receive texts internationally and just setup all your 2fa shit on that number, it's also better because some 2fa things will only take real numbers not virtual numbers like google voice. >Any ideas to keep your affairs going in your home country while abroad for more than six months? You'll probably also want mail scanning/forwarding, possibly with domicile in a no income tax state
>>2903724Tello. No data / 300 minutes / unlimited texts. $5/month

Sometimes you have to call. It's not a big deal>How do you deal with phone lines from your home country which you need to keep alive by using it them every 3 months at least?I don't. I don't keep a US number. I get a new one when I go back.>Any ideas to keep your affairs going in your home country while abroad for more than six months? e.g. home security (against squatters) and bankingI don't. I do the own nothing model. No property or leases that I have to worry about.
I don't get it. 2FA doesn't have a time limit. The authenticator apps don't even need an internet connection.
>>2903792The limit is phone companies recycling your number if you don't make calls in 6 months. Bank accounts also freeze in such periods.
>>2903884That sounds retarded. Is this some weird American thing?
