experiences with couchers, couchsurfing? i've hosted 5 women in a row and they were fun, though it was all platonic. hosted a couple of guys and they were cool, but only for 1 night each.
This website has shown me how awful humanity can be. Outside of the internet, I'll never be able to tell how dark one's soul can be, so the last thing I would do is invite strangers to sleep in my house.
>>2904643The couchsurfing app used to be great pre-covid as long as you weren't brown. It was more about meeting up with travelers and getting food/drink and not actual couch surfing. Pretty sure it's dead now
>>2904580I used to host CSers when I lived in Laos. Some turbo scumbags but most were ok but mostly just trying to save money. Nowadays it's just used by literal faggots
When I lived abroad I used CS events for meeting people.Since it died I haven't found anything to replace it.
>specified the women were "all platonic" >doesn't specify with the guys
>>2904653>>2904655has it really died? I think it's just paid now and filters cheap cuntsI fucked some girl who was using it in south east Asia at my friends house, think she was pissed off at me for thatsame as this website a tiny fee fixes a lot things
>>2904652thats still what its like though, just poor people don't use it
>>2904805I can't just get free rooms to stay in? I don't mind giving you 20-40 bucks as long as there's a real bed and I can sleep in till noon.
>>2904805I used it exclusively for the hangout feature. Even in bigger cities like Budapest, it was only used by one or two dozen people at a time. Half of those were browns that would spam hangout requests to anyone available. If it's only a fraction of that now, I don't see the point.>poor people don't use it>sleeping on a strangers couchHmmm....
>>2904782>I think it's just paid nowYeah. I have a spare bedroom in my apartment now. Living in Taipei. I'm not gonna pay to let people stay in my place and save $50 per night. I was already doing an act of kindness by hosting people for free.
>>2904782>same as this website a tiny fee fixes a lot things4chan pass is almost exclusively used by state-sponsored shill farms and bots. Rapeape is fully aware and encouraged it so the site could be more profitable (not so fast, jannies ;))It just made the site worse.
>>2904652Never used it, but got roped into a meetup from it. Was a really cool day. Started with a guided hike, ended with pizza, beer, and swimming at some girl's rooftop pool with a great view of the city. Pretty sure only like two people were actively traveling at the time, everyone else seemed to just live in the city and wanted to meet people.
>>2904889I bought it because the captcha timer made /biz/ unusable.
>>2904580Couchsurfing was the greatest website in the world 10 years ago. The management deserves the death penalty for their utter ineptitude
>>2904889Yeah but also people who don't want to deal with captchas Also the janitorial staff are paid in line with their skills and talent
>>2904889>AAAAAAA I HAVE TO PAY 8 CENTS A DAY THiS IS LITERAL NAZI GERMANYkek, you people getting booted is the best thing to ever happen to this site
>>2905872>Don't have 8 cents a day so you can sleep on a stranger's couch while traveling?!? Heh, you must be poor...Not sure if retarded or a paid shill from couchsurfing
