Any anons been to Nepal? I’m planning to go next year for 2 weeks. I definitely want to see Kathmandu and Pokhara and do some light trekking. Maybe something like 3-5 days or if just 3 days two separate short treks. Any recommendations?

Nepal is super friendly toward whites, but also a little untrustworthy in that every foreigner is Mr. Moneybags who shouldn't mind getting his water bottle, snacks and other shit stolen if left unattended. Food in the hilly regions is awful, limited in variety and quality, so be forewarned. The Terai and bigger cities have great food. Smoke Nepali village weed in a homemade bong with some local bros if you get a chance, it's super mellow and untainted by modern hybridization. There's no shortage of mountain valleys to explore, so go see the country. Buses go everywhere, but some cost 3x more per km than others depending on the difficulty of the route. Expect extreme overcrowding on every bus; your presence will be tolerated but definitely is not needed or wanted. White tourists usually get given a seat to themselves. Beer can be pricey, $3-4 per 620 mL bottle. Barahsinghe is top notch and usually $2.30 per bottle. Kanna plate is the main dish, it's standardized at every restaurant. Expect loose messy bowel movements every morning, with shitty rice pieces floating in the toilet bowl. This is Nepal. Don't fuck with the police, they are hardasses. Feel free to enter Nepal overland on foot from India, it's some Real Traveler shit. Bring a crisp $50 for your 30 day visa.
