There is a small Turkish old town with some historic mosques and other Ottoman-era buildings like the clock tower, but I'd say the main draw is the various scars and general weirdness that comes from its unique situation as the capital of a partially recognised small country that has recently gone through civil war and ethnic cleansing. When we did visit we were strolling along one of the main streets one night and a bunch of elderly people were straight up doing an impromptu concert with Çiftelis while singing UCK songs and a small crowd was singing along lmao. You should also visit Gračanica which is right next to Pristina and has a historic Serbian monastery. Kosovo in general has remarkably a lot to offer for such a small and little known country

As a country like Kosovo is so small and in the shadows, ever non existent to a lot of holiday goers, I wouldn't usually ask and I'd feel stupid to ask if there are a lot of foreigners/tourists, but I would have said the same about Bosnia before I went. Went about a month ago. Pristina sucks, super poorly designed and just generally nightmarish for a pedestrian to navigate. You can see the Clinton statue, the library building and then leave. Prizren is cool. Food in Kosovo is really good and super cheap. Got pic related for €3.The country is so compact that most has been turned into that sort of hellish highway-furniture store-industrial warehouse-office building-outlet mall stretch typical of a city’s outskirts. In that sense it really is just Albania. What nature sits outside of this is very beautiful.

Tourists and immigrants change countries drastically, locals seeing foreigners all the time has a negative effect, and also the way places develop (devolve). It's not the same feeling as going to somewhere like central Asia where you really feel like you're in a foreign worldSorry for the spacing but it just makes sense
Also, don't rush your trips my friend, it's not good. It's best to run around less and take time with what you do see

I'll close me eyes and just get to the landmarks that I've been recommended here and then have all of my day trips ready and planned so I'll waste no time having to hang around Prishtina thinking of what to do and milking around. I love Mici though, that's my savour in the Balkans, if all else disappoints you'll have that traditional delight to make it better Also how easy is it to get a driving license there? My mate tells me Moldova is a hidden gem for finding a beautiful wife. Despite it's largely Muslim population, maybe Kosovo is another hidden gem? It has the same 'forgotten asshole of Europe' status as Moldova.

Maybe it's the level of restaurant/take away I'm going to. Do you only eat at fairly up market establishments? I'm used to go to any unimpressive looking homemade shop in places like Asia and getting amazing food. I think good food shouldn't mean fancy.The best food I got in Moldova was pic related and the only "nice" restaurant I went to so maybe that it. Everything else was inedible. However I find that most restaurants I come across that I come across that are nicely done up are just tourist traps that are all looks and no substance, and there is no way of telling just by looking. Unless it's some of the very obvious signs like an international menu or gimmicks.I'm lost

I wonder if maybe the property isn't owned by Serbs. That said, they were all nice to me, it didn't feel any different from elsewhere in Eastern Europe besides the sign at the airport saying they are only accepting Kosovo passports for convenience and they still don't recognize it as a country
