I'm in New York for the first time ever on holiday and had only ever been to Washington DC for a week in the past. The metro has its own run down charm. On the way from the airport I saw famous subway monkey bars that the black guy swings on in the gif that gets posted. After 2 minutes of walking in Manhattan I had already realised how totally gigamogged Washington DC was. I ran out of things I really wanted to do in DC after around 4 days and the walkable areas that ChatGPT suggested were barely what you'd expect. The downtown was totally sterile, like being in a video game engine tech demo. But comparing them is clearly unfair. After 4 hours of walking I saw more attractive women than almost a week in DC. After walking into Central Park I realised my entire 20s were wasted by not living here (not that I could've had a visa). I saw lots of young people enjoying themselves and BRVTALLY lifemogging the rest of the world. There were a few random sights that felt contrived, like someone playing the saxophone while lots of youngish people played Pickleball below and there was a view of a random part of the skyline. And walking out of an old building and seeing some manual labourers clap for some newlyweds also walking out of it.I went for a random walk and saw a Trump building and Chrysler building and walked 2 seconds into a building and saw an original Bill of Rights. On my second day of walking around, it seemed really clear that New York mogs the hell out of London and Paris. Seeing skyscrapers everywhere makes every other city feel like a totally cucked joke. I remember reading about someone claiming a great thing about London is that "it feels like many connected villages" and I think that sums up the small time mentality. All the NIMBY nonsense about blocked sunlight or "not respecting the street" is bullshit. Streets only feel bad to walk through when there are many road lanes, not when there are skyscrapers.
I went walking along the Manhattan pier and saw more cardio bunnies in a few hours than the entirety of my life up to then.I ate at Chipotle, which I've never done before, and it was ok. I almost went to Katz Delicatessen but cringed at the idea of standing in line like those New York vloggers who make videos about standing in line. I haven't had any reason yet to be out after 8 pm since since no attractions I want to see are open and walking isn't as good because the streets aren't well lit as the UK.
I saw the Wall Street bull, which looked really cool. I walked through Chinatown and didn't like the look or smell of any of the food. The flatiron building looks really good in person. I had a pretzel and ate at Popeye's, which is slightly different from the UK version.

I will kill myself when, as seems inevitable, Europe is overtaken by bugman zoomers and/or pajeets such as yourself.
I bet you can see more genuinely attractive no-makeup tanned 18 year old beauties "lifemogging" on the UCSB campus trails in Santa Barbara CA than you do anywhere in Manhattan. Botoxed, drugged-up career girlbosses must be your preference if you're gaga over Manhattan women.>muh skyscrapersUnless you crane your neck upwards, it's easy to forget they even exist when you're walking along. The corporate sterility and indoor culture of tall buildings means that so many stretches of street have no life going on at all, which always saddens me. If I go to a city as a tourist I want tons of street level activity to gawk at, not just streams of people hurrying in and out of tall buildings I am not supposed to enter. That's the biggest appeal of shithole cities, no end of things to observe right in front of you.
You may marvel at all the attractive women, but you must realise they’re only in NYC to snag a rich guy. They think they’re Carrie Bradshaw and by god they want their Mr. Big. 95% of guys living there simply aren’t on their radar.
>>2906403>California has the hotties, it's NY that's full of bogged monstrositieswho are you kidding lol
>>2906177They really next leveled NYC I haven't actually been there since a school trip 25 years ago and I saw it on Spider Man ScreenX and its so so amazingly beautiful. When I went there this was before 9/11 and now I am 35. Anyway, the added buildings have added immensely. I am getting used to the weird needle apartments it adds some variety to the skyline but the JP Morgan building is one of the top 5 in the world which means NYC has 3 of the top 5. Anyway don't have anything interesting to really say but just agreeing basically how amazing the city looks now. Mamdani shows how the vibe in a city can 180 degree shift if you get a good leader somewhere. Not that he is generationally good he just cares to do a good job for personal pride or something and that is good enough.
>>2906177yo goober...where in NY are you staying? it's expensive nah?
>>2906537I saw a video of a guy walking in NYC and it was 98% ugly and fat colored people hopefully mandamis communism starves the blubber out of them soon
>place that is twice as expensive as dc is nicer than dcno shit bro
>>2906509You have obviously never been to a California college campus. 9/10s elsewhere in the country are 5/10s in SoCal.
>>2906857Those are the immigrant wagies headed to work. The average immigrant wagie is of course not a smoking hot 18 year old wearing skimpy clothes and living off daddy's money on a seaside college campus. Some of the beach towns in the Northeast are full of rich young girls with tiny tits barely hidden by their fashionable summer attire, but they all go back to college this time of year...and in most of the country, they dress frumpy as well so as to not distract their male classmates.
>>2906177>After walking into Central Park I realised my entire 20s were wasted by not living herei wasted my 20s living thereshit's so fucking expensive
>>2906403>>2906509Listen, NYC and Cali have the most beautiful women in the US and it isnt close. I think you can argue one is better than the other but it isnt by a long shot.I live in LA, I see hot women everywhere so I know what the CA anon is saying is true. Especially Santa Barbara, a place known for its hot college girls. Im there a couple times a month so I can verify it is a great place to see stereotypically hot blonde haired blue eyed white girls especially. Its a bastion of whiteness and the women are hot. Those are facts.Go walk in DTLA, say, on Spring (a lovely street) or down 7th, you are 100% guaranteed to see supermodel-tier hot women, I do every time I go. Been recently seeing more goth/emo looking girls, which im okay with. Everyone ive taken with me agrees with this fact. When I worked in Woodland Hills and it was a parade of hot women there too. Target in Westfield = booty central. I was last in NYC a few months back and once again, I saw hot women often but frankly, it felt like there were slightly less than in years past. Thats not to say there werent many hot women, there were, but LA has this overwhelming surplus of hot women, its ridiculous. I was in Utah just the other day and saw a surprising number of hot women. Sure there are a lot of pasty faced bug eyed inbred mormon-stock, but man some of those girls were fuckin hot, I think its an underrated place for hot women but for every hot one there are 2 inbred looking ones. Now Chicago has the worst case of hoeflation ive ever seen. Pale, beanpole corn-fed looking alien bitches and jew bitches everywhere, meanwhile the men look like greek-gods, absolutely insane contrast. A week in Chicago and I saw maybe a handful of hot chicks and I went basically everywhere, the hottest women by far were in Gold Coast (naturally) but even they had a high incidence of bogged/jewish phenotype than I would like, but there are hot women in Gold Coast. Concrete beach was a bunch of ugly beanpoles.
>>2906177small time is better than big time imot. has actually lived in big cities
>>2906923It's the perfectly bronzed tan that makes SoCal girls so irresistibly sexy. Lots of them college girls are white Asian hybrids as well. NYC and the wealthy enclaves of coastal New England also have a lot of slender pretty girls who lack for nothing in life. Pasty white skin doesn't do it for me. But some of those Northeast beach teenies in summertime, Jesus Christ I'm not even a high libido guy and they about drive me crazy.
>>2906923NYC is mathematically disqualified because it's more than 50% black + jewish, it has the most jews in the world in a single city (iirc) and jews are fucking ugly. LA has too many fridge body browns. If you want to cherry pick the hottest girls then you end up with Utah or Minneapolis or any small town being competitive with them. Seattle and SF have hotter women simply because you're trading black and brown for white and asian. Who cares that they're leftist and don't wear Kardashian clown makeup. I'm alpha. I can fix her.
OP here. I'm still here and enjoying myself, though I am close to having run out of things to do.I went to Philadelphia for a day and, like DC, it was so fucking hot and humid that it made walking around a lot too unpleasant. I've seen many things that I've heard about online for years.I went into two bodegas to try the chopped cheese sandwich that people meme about and in both stores the guy at the till told me they weren't sold, in a surly way. Fuck these stores.Williamsburg is another area where lots of attractive young people are enjoying life, which was depressing. Bushwick was run down and parts of it are little Mexico.MoMa was disappointing. It had one floor with art from 1870-1950 that was good, another floor for 1950-1980 art that sucked (Rothko paintings and the cubes were on big canvasses but didn't work at all), and the rest of it was insubstantial. It reminded me of the Museum D'Orsay but much worse.I went to Katz's Delicatessen late at night to avoid waiting in line and it was still busy. It was just normal food but $50 and with prison gang members shouting at you. I went to Astoria because I had heard its name and it looked third world in some parts. Queens is ugly. The low point was going to a ghetto Popeye's in Brooklyn, not being served after paying, then going into a McDonald's and noticing how disgustingly run down it was.The Met Museum of Art was very enjoyable. It's quite strange, the UK mogs the US in both the quality of fast food (service, variety within McDonald's) and the larger range of sugar free fizzy drinks we have.13 days will be the longest I've been on holiday as an adult. Even I'm feeling like a loader at this point.
>>2907881>modern art>fast food Shiggy
>>2907881I once spent a month in LA (though I went to Japan for a week in that time) and I started feeling homesick on the last week, I should have spend some time in San Diego or SF since staying for that long in a single place can drain out the fun of traveling
I went to the Natural History Museum yesterday, which was good, though aimed at kids. I walked through Riverside Park today and almost went into Harlem but the area started looking like a dump so stopped. For some reason I got tempted to make a dating app profile for the first time ever to see what would happen but chickened out during the profile creation part. This is the last update since I only have another day left after today and it will all be aimless walking.I have greatly enjoyed the holiday and will come back some years later.I would still say that New York is better than Paris and probably London. But Paris may be better for repeat visits and for visiting during winter, since it doesn't turn into the north pole. I will probably never know but if I was 10 times richer than I am, I'd probably like New York more than those other places even moreso.I was surprised by how insubstantial Brooklyn was compared to Manhattan. Just from pop culture, etc., I would've guessed that they were comparable.
>>2906177every single girl that you thought was attractive here see you as less than human. the women here are the worst.
>>2908926Yeah but in DC the women are just as stuck up but a lot uglier. I mean, it could be worse. To say nothing of the brown goblins we have here...
>>2908926No, Seattle has vastly, vastly worse women.
>>2908933I've never been to Seattle, but I seem to recall the people in Portland being rather attractive in general, way way more so than in DC.
I would not say that NYC mogs Paris but the appeals of NYC as a cultural basin are pretty evident. There are very few cities that have the array of different cultural outputs that NYC does, from food to music to fashion and art. I'd say Paris has a far better urban design and exceptionally better transit and overall safety, but I can appreciate what NYC does well.>>2906507>they’re only in NYC to snag a rich guyWelcome to every woman in existence anon.
>>2906923>>2907175I have lived in NYC, Denver, Arizona, Eastern Oregon, Lansig Michigan, and i've travelled all over. i can say for sure that the farther away you are from diversity the easier it is to find hot white girls. not only are they more abundant outside of the cities, they also have way less guys to choose from, so they're way more normal and can actually hold a conversation. i struggle in NYC to get attention from anyone but brown girls and jews. 2 weeks after i moved to denver i met a tall blonde that had just gotten out of the air force. she was kind of dumb but it was a fun relationship and she was pretty hot. if you want to fuck white girls as a white guy, you have to go to white areas.
>>2906898>comparing college campus to a whole cityjust say you prefer 18 year olds nigga, fuck
