Easy to smoke in the more rural provinces, on the porch of your rental cabin. Hotel parking lots also work. Upper floor balconies remain the go-to choice for urban areas. Smoking on private property is not a crime, only public spaces. I don't think anyone has been fined for recreational possession yet.
