It's essentially legal in Thailand. It's sold everywhere. A lot of places have a doctor on staff that checks everybody off. The main issue is finding a place to smoke it in peace. If any thai neighbors get a whiff, they are going to rat you out in a heartbeat. You should still be able to find thc vapes there, which solves the issue.

Nowhere I went in Thailand had any restrictions on selling cannabis, and the less pleasant strains were strong and cheap - doused in pesticides for an extra buzz, perhaps. Easy to smoke in the more rural provinces, on the porch of your rental cabin. Hotel parking lots also work. Upper floor balconies remain the go-to choice for urban areas. Smoking on private property is not a crime, only public spaces. I don't think anyone has been fined for recreational possession yet.
