I am at Brevard and just saw the falls over there and about to go to Asheville soon, if anyone has traveled here let me know if there are any parts worth visiting.

Drive to Blowing Rock, see the Linville Gorge. Go to Lake Lure and take the elevator, then the steps. there was this bar in asheville it had nice live music, down by the river so maybe like arts district area, was kinda like a warehouse vibeI brought bubble gum hash and we smoked it outside and it really impressed these artsy chicks who invited me back to their house another night for dinner (im gay)
>>2908433Man Nostalgia really just hit me. I love the Smokies. Went there a lot as a kid cause my grandparents lived in Sylva. Went to a summer camp in Brevard and did a lot of cool shit. Sliding rock is cool, turtle back falls is neat. If you’re into urban exploring go to Maggie Valley and climb up to “Ghost Town in the Sky” if it’s still there. It’s totally bizarre to see an abandoned theme park on top of a mountain. If I were to visit there now I’d probably hit up the breweries, go hiking and rafting. Have fun anon.

>>2908433Asheville was lame as fuck the last time I visited, parked one time to sleep in my car on the street outside an apartment complex, didn't feel secure at all and thereafter went to a Walmart - probably "no overnight parking" now but with a car you can usually get away with ignoring such signs. got a temp job but got fired for being too slow and weird, asking the owner to shower in his house after each shift was complete. still without that money i would've run out in Ohio before finding my first proper seasonal job in New Hampshire. i also got contracted to transport a big egg grill from Hendersonville NC to Detroit MI, guy wired me $80 upfront to cover gas and said he trusted me. It was from shitty to shittier, drove into the grass to sleep secluded in an unlit Detroit city park afterwards, but like a chickenshit I refused the adventure of a life going north over the Mackinac Strait to the UP Minnesota Dakota Montana and chose Ohio after being rejected entry into Canada. One of the biggest travel mistakes of my life, as I got stuck camping illegally in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and had to pay $575 to get free. If I only had balls I would've gone to Montana and spent the summer out there...but youth is only lived once, and the opportunity once passed never presented itself again.
