Basically sums it up. I fly to Singapore for work a few times a year and use it as a jump off point around SEA. I do the common courtesy of at least bringing my own teenage flip hooker instead of mongering, so I can't speak to that angle. I love to put Singapore at the tail end of the trip to rest and recoup in a very calm and orderly place, and as an autist from NYC I am in love with how the city is run. Incredible airport, incredible food scene, multiple excellent bar districts, there's more fucking culture and decent food in Lau Pa Sat than some entire neighborhoods in other SEA cities. Quick flights on scoot to basically anywhere are like $100.

Throughout SEA, I am drawn to the cozy post-colonial cities where there was a nice city plan, good infrastructure built up, and still remnants of the colonizers' fun vices like sailing, horse racing, or drinking beer. Bonus points if you can get by in English or French. So, Singapore, HK, Vietnam/Cambodia, pretty much anywhere you can stay in a 5-star that's built in to an old colonial barracks or post office in some glorious building is where I go. You can go off piste and eat boiled fish anuses a few blocks out from the main drag, but you can still retreat to a French brasserie or an English bar when you've had enough. You can still hostel in most of those places and go drink in aforementioned beautiful colonial barracks if you're a poorfag. Find a cute flip organically then for the price of a $300 business class ticket a few times a year you can have ezmode pussy on tap, just don't catch feelings because the Philippines passport is absolute dogshit.
