I visited.
It's nice, there's more to do in Belgrade obviously, but it's prettier than Belgrade.
Serbia is okay, if you're in the area you should check it out, but the other ex-yu countries are more interesting in my opinion

Nope, you have to stop at the station in a town across the river and take a bus to the city center

They had a nice little museum in the new station about how the Amerikangss blew up the train in the 90s and the nazoids blew up the bridge in ww2 and the eyetalians blew up the tracks in ww1. Now they can add the chingchongs to the list

I have this vision that there's lots of nice undiscovered tourist stuff to see in the BALKS cuz my dad's family is from the area but that could be wrong. I do think it could be more interesting than generi-europe (amsterdam, london, paris, prague normie axis)

I drove to Novi Sad with my dog this summer, we stayed for over a month. It's worth a day or two to visit, but it was a pain to get anywhere around town. If you come and want to see anything outside of the main tourist area then you must make sure that someone can loan you a bicycle. Don't count on their bikeshare thing and rentals from the store are like €20 a day. If you take a car then be ready for traffic, construction everywhere, and for paid street parking payable only by SMS. I had a much easier time in Belgrade where public transit was free.

Charming place though. I really enjoyed Serbia and I'm coming back next year to visit the smaller towns.
