I am likely going to Stockholm in December for a trip. How long should I stay, what in Stockholm kick ass, what should I avoid or otherwise be aware of? Also do the women want to fuck Americans?

Do the obvious ones like Wasa and Nobel museum. Eat meatballs in the old town. Drink mead in Sjätte Tunnan. The Swedish krona is weak now so unlike past years it's not super expensive anymore.

I just took a trip to Stockholm and really enjoyed it. Although I went in August so weather was peak.. in December im not sure. I really liked Drottningholm castle, go early and walk the gardens before the tour groups come. Id take the train there in the AM and then take the ferry back to Stockholm. Was pretty cool and if you time it right the return ferry will be almost empty since it first comes right around when you'll be finishing (assuming you are one of the first ones in the palace). There is a really cool scifi bookshop with tons of vintage books from the golden era of fantasy and scifi - its called Stockholm Science Fiction Antikvariat. Id recommend spending a day walking around Sodermalm and Ormsaltaren in general. I really liked those areas, felt more chill and authentic. Less luxury shopping and tourist traps. For Museums, I liked the Vasa, the National Museum, and my favorite was The Hallwyl Museum. Make sure to ask to go on the tour to the portrait room. It is by tour only and in winter they only do tours in Swedish. Now as a friendly non swede they may take pity on you and just bring you up there for free if you're very polite. In general I loved stockholm, and found it better than Copenhagen. It was more calm and had more greenspace, and all of the waterfront views were amazing. I also found the people to be really really friendly and helpful. Idk what people mean when they say swedes are offputting, could not be further from the truth. Also the seafood is fucking incredible. Had Turbot for the first time in my life and it was genuinely one of the best meals ive ever had. Get swedish meatballs if you want but desu I used all my meals on Seafood after I did them once and had the Signature pastry of theirs for a breakfast. Toast Skagen is great. If you want a hotel recc, Hotel at Sixx was great and had a nice breakfast buffet. Great sauna too, which in December you'll really want.
